Kaylin stepped easily out into the hustle and bustle of the streets, Sherri was at her side, mounted by Orin. Her beast had surpassed the height of even the largest of her breed, reaching 8 ft at the shoulder. The people were shocked to see such a monstrosity of a beast and Kaylin loved the fear it inspired in their faces. A few small unafraid children bounded up in urchin rags, pleading to ride Sherri. She shook her head at their mischievous looks, passing a small bronze coin to each lad, a small generosity. Reaching up she took Orin's hand in her own, this would give her a weaker, more approachable appearance. She was so nervous, either the king would be glad of her help and help her brother, or he would heal her brother for war. This thought frightened her, as anything but a healer her brother was useless. She smiled keeping out an ever watchful eye, that wasn't exactly true, he was terrifying to behold when he fell into his black mood. They were maybe 15 minutes away from the castle, yet she wanted to linger, her last moment of freedom was precious.

"Kaylin, are you all right? You've gone quiet and slowed down." He tugged on her hand and together they came to a stop. Soon they were surrounded by people pushing by, uncaring of his stead former terror. He leant down, pulling her face up to look at him, marvelling all the while of her almost white skin against his pale green. Her eye's seemed mirky today, losing their frightening glow for a look of almost terror. This was not his sister, she was bold and freed. Therein lay the problem, freedom would be in short supply today. She brushed him away, turning to lean heavily on his leg and her Kitten. He almost froze in shock, as he felt her shiver and shudder, shedding hidden teads onto his tightly gripped trousers. Stroking her hair, he hummed to her, nothing more than calming sounds. He coughed lightly into his hand, juddering, before doubling over. He hacked large hunks of blood into his hand, but hastily hid them, not wanting her to worry. It would only make her need to rush, that was not needed today. They were over a day earlier than expected due to their fast pace today, they had no need to hurry.

"Yes, I'm fine. Are you ok? Do you need to go straight to the castle?" She asked concern touching her downcast face. "I thought possibly we could go to the market? I need some clothes for presentation, so do you!" Kaylin released her brothers trouser leg, patting at the wet mark of her tears. She looked up at him hopefully, knowing he was ill, but wishing for a few more minutes of normality.

"Lets go, if were lucky we will find something for Sherridan." He patted the great beasts neck and rewarded with a heavy, reverberating huff huff that sounded Sherri's laughter. They moved down to the market, stopping at the metal smith, who measured Sherri and began to cast her chain-mail for them to pick up later. The pondered through shops, picking up clothes for everyday wear. He watched anxiously as his sister moved about, the were being watched by people. His kind were so rare about here, that most had never seen more than one kept hidden in the castle. When he was pulled ruddily off his mount and onto the floor by his sister, her smile as big as the sun. As soon as he looked around him he knew why, they were in a shop holding the finest silks he had ever seen.

" I need to find something formal and something fun, you too." She squealed with joy so little shown. Her hands ran across one silk after the other, noting down silently to herself when they met something different. A Cotton Silk blend caught her, as did the Silk Wool, that would be good for the winter balls held in her own kingdoms. Her eyes set on a roll of fine gossamer this yellow silk, akin to the light in her eye's, it was all fire and strength in her mind. Picking it up she tossed it over her shoulder, moving on to the a mid weight white with a hint of ice blue in it's colour, this too followed the other, onto her shoulder. She moved over to the tailor, speaking quietly to the old man, as she handed over the fabrics with care. She felt happy here, in a place not sullied by war or obligation, she felt herself.

"Now do you want to have green or blue hair tonight?" She asker pressing fabrics up against him, he glowed to her. He was so beautiful, even though it wasn't by the standard of her kin. Sh pressed the deep brow Silk Linen against him, then the emerald green of Cotton Silk and watched as his hair changed subtly from green to blue.

"Blue as always." He smiled up at her, watching her old self peak out. He stood obligingly still as the old man measured them. After another 2 hour of waiting and tea they came back. Picking up to packages of who knew what and he followed his twin on the back of Sherri. Sherris roar of satisfaction shocked him, as she padded forward to the metal-smith. The long sheet of mail was perfectly made out of fine silver, it had special hooks that would not pull her fur or brake under pressure. He could not help but notice the forlorn look on his sisters face as they came at last to the castle entrance. She seemed diminished, her shoulders hunching over the precious packages that she held in her arms. The mighty gates opened before them, admitting their entrance into a wide courtyard, filled with busy servants, making ready for the evening and entertainment's. He chuckled to himself, they would not be there, they had already planned to sneak out and explore the city fully. This thought at least cheered him.
