Jake
I wrinkle my nose in disgust. The smell of werewolf is stronger now. 'It's moving...' I think, getting slightly alarmed. I look up into the sky, squinting my eyes to the downpour of rain, glad the storm clouds are so thick they're covering the moon. It's supposed to be full tonight. I sigh and continue walking towards the officer and the girl, I call out kind of cheerily, shouting to be heard over the pounding rain, "Hey! What are yall doing out here? It is pouring you know." That's when I recognize the girl. 'Crap... Carson, she's annoyed at me enough already for trying to help her... This isn't going to help,' I thnk almost ruefully. 'Oh well... She'll have to get over it... It's amazing how I still think like a teenager, even after 200-whatever years.' I shrug mentally and continue over towards them.

Carson
I stiffen in the swing. I recognize the voice. 'Jake... The guy that works in the library, always trying to defend me for some reason... Doesn't get the fact that I can take care of myself,' I think sourly. I twist in the swing facing him as he walks towards us. 'He's almost like Trey...' I quickly shove the thought out of my head as soon is pops up. "Yeah, I think we realize that." I look up at the cop and growl -Growl? Really? Am I turning into one of those disgusting creatures now?- in my head. "Which is why I was just about to head home." I stand up, getting off of the swing, my boots sinking some in the sand-now-turned-mud under the swings. I trudge out of the park, annoyed to hear Jake say goodnight to the cop then follow after me. "What do you want?" I snap at him, still walking home.

Jake
I put up my hands in fornt of me, catching up to her easily. "Relax, jeez... I was just heading home from work when I saw you and the cop... Thought I'd stop by and see what was going on. I'm sorry that I didn't realize it was you. It's really not safe for you to be out here, espcially alo-" She cuts me off, whirling around to face me.

"You don't think i know that?!?" She screams at me. "How many times do I have to tell you Jake?! I CAN TAKE CARE OF MYSELF! Now leave me ALONE!" She storms off and into her house, slamming the door behind her.

'Well shit.. You've really done it now Jake...' I sigh and hang my head, frowning before turning and heading towards my own home.
