He relaxed a little and leaned to one side. He kept his eyes closed and tried to put his finger in the ear opposite from where Alda was sitting.
"They say I have to learn to cope with all the information." He sighed. "There is no coping with so much...data. It keeps coming back and slipping away."
"If you want a metaphor, one of the more sympathetic psychologists once said it was like trying carry an entire library with you. Things keep falling off the stack as you move and collect more books et cetera. I'm sure you've heard these kinds of metaphors before."
