"A bunch of yankees were picking a fight with me at an arcade, and Hitomi stepped in and beat them all to dust. She said something like "You're cute, be my boyfriend?" and I was like "Hell yeah!" Hitomi punched Kai in the arm and he let out a lout "Oof"
"What I meant to say was she said I looked weak and wanted to know if I wanted to be strong. Of course I took her up on her offer. After that, everything else she said was easier to swallow."
The glow in the cave suddenly went out. Kai stopped dead in his tracks.
"I think it knows we're close," Kai said.
