Diloxi did not heed General Fong’s orders about not being in command while she was injured. She did not leave her tent much during the three days but those she commanded still were issued orders. Were as Fong had his forces using magic and he issued commands to her forces to do the same she also issued orders for specific items to be crafted, some of them were things as simple as one use wind walls, to one use flash bangs; then more profound enchantments on the wagons to prevent them from burning, by magical or natural means. She assisted in issuing wards of protection though her wards were odd marks across the back of her men’s necks using white paint, she performed the deed on those directly under her, then they in turn took care of the rest of her forces with the same mark. The mark served two purposes one it linked her forces easily by thought she could issue commands by the simplest flex of her will, and two it added a small deflective ability to them all, giving them an extra protection against blades and arrows being swung at their person.

She had also made sure that the Avaran brothers were marked, even though the orders to have them transferred had not even been looked at by General Fong. She also sent her attendant to mark the General himself, though he could refuse if he wished, it would link him to her men as well, not to mention it would give her a link to him directly. The day they marched came sooner than she was ready for it, the lashings had not healed to the point she would have liked and she was forced to sit at the side of Captain Duff on one of the wagons unable to ride the horse she would have normally preferred. Duff insisted on setting Nhil’s black skull on the seat next to her as well which made Diloxi’s skin crawl besides but once they hit the pass her mind was distracted to other things. The rain slammed over them suddenly and her eyes immediately turned towards the ridge. She sent out thoughts to her troops to be on guard feeling uneasy about the entire area, it was a risk.. this area was perfect for locking them in and slaughtering them down to the last man.

Duff whistled happily at her side as she held the reigns of the huge rhino pulling the wagon. Before long Diloxi slid her hands over the Halflings lips looking up at the rocks. Something didn’t seem right.. then a single arrow slid over their heads and slammed into the front wagon sending splinters every which way. The wagon and the injured beast slammed into the narrow rocky sides of the pass blocking their escape. The other wagons turned to defend themselves there was just enough room to pull into a tight circle like formation though as savage sliced through the rock walls at them several of the wagons still fell. She extended her will through marks issuing the command to gather and lock; Duff pulling their own wagon into the circle as Diloxi reached back and grabbed her serpentine staff. General Fong’s orders made her feel slightly bad for hating him so deeply, he gave her a small hope for the filthy dumb humans that she was forced to ally herself with. Maybe she wouldn’t need to kill them all…

A blade sliced for her leg as she rolled to the side the tip cutting just into her thigh though not enough to do any real damage. She snarled as she looked down at the Orc with the half rusted blade at her side. The staff curled and then slid its black scaled form into her arm and back nearly burrowing into her skin as its three heads lashed out and bit into the male’s face; her hand curled about their necks. The Orc screamed out as she stood up and he fell back she ducked low and hopped to the back of the rhino gracefully before letting loose a huge arc of electricity from the serpents. It sliced through four forms before arcing up the wall and taking out some of the archers high above, though all in all the electricity injured more than it killed. It was impressive and terrifying but the body count from its power would be minimal, it was dulled the farther out it traveled from her form.

Arrows sliced for her form only to be deflected from an unseen force about her. Then with a crack and a roar one of the wind walls sliced up blocking some the falling arrows and sending them splintering out towards the enemy forces harmlessly. The mages pulled to the very center readying spells; Diloxi bounded from the Rhino’s back to the middle of the formation as she looked up at the coiling clouds. She reached towards the heavens with the serpentine staff trying to catch one of the druid bolts from above a bolt of lightning sliced into the snakes the energy coiling between their necks as she pointed it up at the cliff face, blue energy arcing through many of the archers on the ridge though mostly blowing their forms back from the pain of the arcs. She snarled as the snakes body dug deeper into her flesh taking away her own life force at every attack she asked it to do. She was too weak to let it pull away too much energy.. her eyes slid about the advancing forces as she started to back toward the center to stand at her mages sides.

It was going to get very ugly very soon as she opened her free hand and began to coil black flames within her long fingers. The energy built and built until the swirled sphere of flame swallowed what little light was around her hand and arm rain evaporating to steam as it came close to her form. Her blue hair coiled about her shoulders as the snakes snapped and hissed at anything that came to close to them. She pulled the snakes before her chest reading to release the magic as a harpy snarled and grabbed her arm pulling her off her feet. Her vision faded to black for a moment as the snakes turned and bit into the bird like body. The creature screamed and fell its form convulsing as Diloxi became entangled in its flailing form on the ground trying to fight off the weight as well as the jerking claws and talons. She screamed out as the snakes continued to bite the flying monstrosity until it lay lifeless over her form. Her vision blurred as she laid under the still slightly twitching body, she struggled to turn and finally found herself on her stomach as she pushed her body out from under the flying creatures form. The flames she had summoned fizzled and fell away the battle was not going to go well.. even with the way they had the attack planned it was going to cost them horribly.

Mira spent the three days working on new creations everything from small devices she could turn on at will to studying Dwarven engineering. She looked over the wagons and then went to work on the one that she would be in charge of. She had installed all kinds of fun “toys” in its bowels though she had to remove half of them because the beast was having a hard time pulling the extra weight. She reduced it to two major toys, one was part of the wagon itself, the other was an added perk! As the attack issued General Ebon’s hand fell over her lips her eyes went wide and she flinched as the wagon far ahead exploded. She turned responding like the others to secure a perimeter, listening to General Fong’s orders as well.. She wasn’t fond of protecting Diloxi.. but still. She dove into the back of the wagon sliding among the troops and supplies into the back to where a crate was held she grinned and extended her will to it as the box suddenly exploded into a seething mass of chains. The chains took the shape of a roughly humanoid form and then dove out into the battle. Its form extending and lashing out at enemies, some of its parts were bladed slicing clean through necks and flesh, other parts of it coiled about bodies choking and crushing their forms slowly. The humanoid form disintegrated into a mass of glittering metal and turned the enemy forces around it into piles of broken flesh.

Then it merged back together once again and began fighting more. The wagon itself jerked as a ballista like device of Dwarven construction unfurled from the back of the wagon it seemed to assemble all on its own. It had five loading areas each with its own firing trigger, its form was set on a circular swiveling base and its sides moved up and down to nearly able to point straight up making it free to move about the battle and target whatever it wished. The Ballista armed itself and then tilted towards the sky releasing five massive long javelin like bolts into the air hitting almost every harpy it tried to hit. The ballista swiveled on the circular base as Duff jumped into the wagon next to it pulling out her book and letting the pen write what happened. Her other hand clutched the black skull to her side as her wide eyes watched the battle excitedly. The Ballista snarled swiveling and reloading before unleashing more javelins into the air yet again. The chain creation danced about the battle field leaving chunks of bodies in its wake, it locked blades in its chains and then extended them out slicing all the more as if it had four different arms all able to reach 15 feet and ending in the enemies own weapons.
