Diloxi staggered to her feet only to be side swiped by a rhino dragging a wagon behind it. Her arm screamed as the skin rubbed right off of it by the thick hide though she jumped back and looked for the reason the beast had fled. She turned to see a huge black mammoth barreling towards her. Her eyes went wide as she blinked trying to decide if it was real or not, the huge creatures tusks swung towards her as it charged at a startling speed she ran and dove into one of the caves with orcs and Gnolls. The scent from them assaulted her senses as soon as she came near. Her hair was grabbed by one as another blades sliced for her side. She hissed and then entire cavern exploded with black flames killing all of them immediately around her and searing about 10 others.

She staggered out of the cave to see her forces being overran by the savage armies the mammoth had carved a horrible gap within her army. She heard Fong’s voice echo in her mind, his words held a great meaning to them. She was in command, he had larger fish to fry she could only assume what he was after, but didn’t want to distract herself with the thought as she ran for the center of her main force. She could see the various races fighting for survival as she slid up around them the field of anti magic caused her body an immense discomfort the snakes that coiled about her right arm and hand hissed and snarled making those near her take a step back.

”Refrain from arcane magic… and everyone form up! Gather around me!” She announced through the marks in her ranks, she charged it with as much abyssal magic as she could manage until they heard her voice. Not long after her voice slid through their minds she closed her eyes and slid her hand up into the sky arrows sliced through the air around her as a Dark Elf swords men raised his shield to deflect the arrows raining in from above. In her outstretched hand a globe of darkness gathered it slid from her hand and rotated up into the air as rain cascaded down around her. She was soaked the bandages about her breast were soaked with her own red blood that had flowed from the reopened lashes at her back. Her eyes stayed closed as her blue hair stuck to her glorious form and then a deep energy shattered from her. It would stop the hearts of all those around her for just a moment, then as the energy coiled around her, the snakes dug deeper into her skin casing her to tremble and pale on her feet.

The orb high above grew then flattened out, it stretched like an umbrella of black flame before long all light around her troops was consumed by the black flames that slithered about them. She had created a dome of black fire it laced about her now gathered troops but locked out those that had not retreated soon enough. ”The barrier is up.. I know you cannot see… but stay still and heal one another… light torches so you can see and form up in a tight rank. Archers between shield wielders.. the sides will have pike men with phalanx shields.. we will march out of this canyon together!” She held the dome steady as torches lit and men began healing one another. They reorganized in the warm darkness the flickering of the flames around them seemed to drone out most of the sound.

Outside the dome a thick fog grew as the rain pelted against it turning to steam. Before long the entire pass was consumed by the fog created by the flames. Diloxi within the dome shivered as steam rose off her form. Her eyes staid closed as she concentrated.. one false move and everyone within the dome would be vaporized possibly even herself. She shook as sweat slid down her form, then the platoon commanders signaled her that they were formed up and for the most part healed. She dropped her up stretched palm and the flames fell she felt herself grabbed by one of her guards as she half collapsed her eyes seeing nothing but black as pain sliced through her.

She was going to kill Fong herself if Sho didn’t take care of the problem for her. The tightly ranked mass of shields steamed forward, Orcs and gnoll’s lashed at their sides only to be dropped with crossbow bolts and blades, then the shields once again returned as they continued to move as one tight pack. The healers kept close to the outer edges of the formation healing those that took wounds that would weaken the unit. She felt the ground rumble as the Mammoth approached through the fog once again. ”Captain Duff! Take down that Mammoth!”
