Robin chuckled lightly. Leave it to Marian to spit fire and still manage to decorum. He'd never admit it, but it was a quality he like in her. She had always been a feisty one; never letting him get away with anything. Even when they were children, he and Will would tease her; tugging on her braids and she was always right there to throw a left hook or push him in the mud.

"What? You won't walk with me to the creek? I thought you said you could take care of yourself." He arched an eyebrow and crossed his arms in a mocking manner. "Not to fear, Marian. I'll protect you should any danger arise," he goaded. Yes, Robin was good at many things: archery, woodwork, tracking the footprints of rabbits. But what he truly excelled at, was getting under Marian's skin.
