Miralight was enjoying watching the harpies go careening out of the air, she was loving to watch the Gnolls get sliced into little dog treats by her chain. Then the first sign that there was going to be issues showed up. The Nightmarians slid along the sides of the chasm energy arching off of them and turning magic into a chaotic mess. Mira slid under a bench to hide as arrows rained down over the wagon several of them sliced into the back of the large thick skind Rhino. Not penetrating more then a quarter inch into the animals thick hide. The ballista continued to load and twang taking down archers and harpies as the chained monstrosity fanned out low, cutting off feet then rolling over itself and slicing those it just dismembered into nothing but ground meat.

The chain was one of her more prized creations, and as it continued to act as a metal blender she pulled her book closer to herself and watched as the pen wrote the events before her. She saw the mention of the mammoth and her eyes went wide. She whistled and the chain as well as the ballista fell to pieces. She braced herself in the wagon as the hulking creature slammed the rhino that had been waiting over on its side spilling the animal’s guts across the battle field and slamming Mira and her sleeping ballista into the stone wall not far away. The wagon and Mira whistled again the chain came back to life slicing and attacking various savage that came too close to Mira. The ballista that had fallen to pieces at her whistle whirled and put itself back together once again. She slid out from under the bench to have a look around the battle as the dark elf that she had seen before bounded into the wagon with her.

She smiled at him, ”Its pretty nice actually!.. Rain is always my favorite this time of year! Especially so close to home!” she smiled brightly as a harpy shrieked and slammed into the ground not far away. She frowned as her ammo reserves were starting to get low, and her magic was not going to be able to summon more without possibly summoning them impaled in herself. Her eyes looked over the battle with a worried expression as several barbed arrows sliced into the wagon with her. She grabbed the tall Dark Elf and tackled him to the ground outside of the wagon laying on top of him to keep him from harm. The entire span of the wagon she had been in was blanketed with arrows made to go in and never be retracted. She looked down at the dark elf she now sat on top of and blushed.

”Sorry.. I thought I saw a dry spot on your back!.. I had to make sure I took care of that” she grinned even brighter, her book and pen happily continuing their work from under the wagon. Her eyes dodged about the battle as she scurried from Melianth’s chest and dove under the wagon. She felt Diloxi’s power swell as she waved Melianth to join her under the wagon as well. Several more volies of arrows slammed into the wagon as she reached out and tugged at Melianth to try and keep him from the volley’s fired by the group of Harpies from above. Her ballista was totally out of commission the arrows had locked it down. A thick fog began to roll about them and her eyes went wide as the warm from the fog and steam seemed to make breathing almost hard. The fog billowed about the battle, even Fong’s winds only helped to spread it through the area rather than diminish it. It hid the civilized forces from the eyes of those above as the entire pass was draped in it. The rain continued to pour over the ground, it wouldn’t be long and the rain would send the clouds of steam away. Miralight heard the command as she felt the ground rumble from the mammoth again. She had to take the thing out before it over ran them all.

She concentrated on her chain and issued the edict, ”Bind the furry beast Nhil!” the chain arced in a beautiful dance, it spread out and then condensed in an almost artful martial art. The chain seemed to move with an intelligence all its own as it slid through the battle field even those that locked it down were soon found at the centre of the constricting reach. The black mammoth charged through the mist every dwarf her immense form found she flung through the air. The chain flattened out again then as the beast ran over its form it lashed up its chains digging into the beasts neck and legs, it cut into the thick hide as it twirled around the flesh like the blades of a chain saw. Dani shrieked out into the coiling fog her immense form tumbled to the ground as the chains coiled tighter and tighter around the Druid. Though all that would be known to those not able to see through the fog was that the rumbling had stopped and pain filled wails echoed in their wake.
