Skye turned to see Jeremy running up to her. He was panting from the long run, long for him that is.
"Skye," He said, while trying to catch a breath. " They didn't mean it."
" Oh yes they did, and you know it! They want me to be like how they imagined Samantha to be! But guess what? She's dead and she will stay dead!" Skye sobbed. " Why? Why are you even trying?"
Jeremy pulled her to his chest. Even through he was younger, he was far taller than her. " Because I want to get to know you. Not Samantha. But Skye. Because I have a feeling that you need someone to trust."
Skye looked up at her brother. He was so brave. He was bold and spoke the truth. Unlike her. Year after year she striked from the shadows, she was raised and taugh that way.
" Okay." Skye sniffed. " But I don't want to go back yet."
" That's perfectly fine. Let's go for a walk, talk things over."
She blushed. " O-Okay." Why did she feel so embarrased? Was it because no one ever acted like this towards her?
" So...What's your favourite colour?" Jeremy asked as they walked towards the local park, completly forgetting their parents.
