Shokunen hissed as a fog quickly enveloped the immediate area, but kept focus as he sent both of the wind general's weapons flying into the throng of battle. He slithered back somewhat during the distraction, readying himself for further movement instead of pressing the attack like a novice. His tail was about to strike the seemingly preoccupied Fong when the man suddenly shifted under the heavy blow and advanced like some sort of phantom so swift were his movements. The split second Obadani had afforded him though may have saved him a trip to the healer though, as his newfound positioning allowed the lamia to vault up into the rain-filled air, the middle of his tail being grazed by the potentially bone-shattering attack Fong carried through. Sho came down as silent as death within the muddy terrain a few feet to his enemies right, a thick layer of white haze obscuring his position. The lamia's eyes switched to the heat spectrum and he scanned the nearby area. Immediately, the prince snatched up the corpse of what appeared to be a charred human in one hand, and what he supposed was the man's staff in the other.

"Raaaah!" with a roar,he raised himself up on his tail nearly twelve feet up into the air quite quickly, and threw the corpse at such an angle it would fall in front of Fong. In the fog, such a ploy would make it seem as if he had jumped again, and the prince followed through with a powerful toss of the iron staff. It skidded along the damp earth with a loud splash to the enemy's immediate right and Sho was already in the air right behind the corpse. With a deft twist of his body, the lamia brought his tail around in a vicious arc that would smash across Fong's back and send the tiny man flying. Landing, Shokunen Helvaras reared up and loosed a roar of triumph into the stormy canyon. Through the haze, he thought he could make out the silhouettes of more harpies...he hadn't ordered for the second wave yet. Were those mercenaries finally here? Dwelling no further on the matter the prince leapt back into the battle once more, crashing into a dark elf swordsman that had been caught unawares. Instead of tearing the whelp apart he flung the man away and glared at the primarily dark elf crowd of soldiers just before him.

Diloxi...he thought with a malicious grin, intended to look more sadistic than anything. Without any words he glanced in her direction before slithering off to another battle.

The mist was clearing, and up above the nightmarian troops ceased their magical disruption field. Not because they were ordered to do so, but because more pressing matters arrived. On the very tops of the canyons, figures garbed in nothing but pure white robes fell upon the savage troops with sword and spells of pure red flame. The robes, clinging to their bodies with the heaviness of the rain, were stark white and without color aside from a large crimson fireball emblazoned on the back. Over a hundred of the mysterious people, all of different races began slaughtering the nightmarians and healers who had been caught off guard. Three approached Mercy and without word loosed a trio of flaming gouts upon her. She would find her armor much less resistant, to these attacks. They then lashed out with blades and speed beyond that of the average mortal. Nobody knew the identity of the white men and women, but one thing was for sure. They definetly weren't Civil.

"You actually like the rain? Are you daft woman? This is-" the wind rushed from his lungs as Miralight tackled him with suprosing strength and pinned Melianth to the floor. He was about to call out when he saw the multitude of arrows blanketing the wagon and nearby area. Melianth glanced down at the halfling, who was blushing for some reason and smirked. "Dry spot. Right. You probably just thought the heat of battle was the perfect place to cop a feel." the dark elf heaved himself up and patted Miralight's head while smiling. "Thanks. Who? Where're we going?" he followed the young captain under the wagon and raised an eyebrow in confusion. before he could question her though, a heavy haze added itself to the already annoying rain. His breaths became slower, and the lack of air made his head ache. With a quickly muttered prayer the avenger cleared the immediate area of mist and made breathing easier.

Melianth rolled out from under the wagon, shaking the mud and filth from his garments and growling with disgust. He glanced at the mammoth whom Miralight began harrying with her construct, and looked to the sky. The air no longer shimmered with magic and he called back to Mira; "Little one! The field's down, tell the magi to start casting again!" he paused a moment scanning the battlefield before pointing towards the northern half of the Civil forces. "Get to my brother, Belsius! He could use some help! I'll take care of the warbeast if...Nhil? Is that what you called it? Well, if it doesn't mind! Happy hunting!" he said with a wink. Before cahrging at the druid turned mammoth Melianth called over his shoulder. "Oh! When we're done here, meet me in my tent! I'll give ya somethin' to blush about!"

And with one final laugh he intoned a prayer of haste and rushed at the mammoth's ankles with both blades drawn, intending to hamstring the great beast.

Are they in place? a rumbling voice called out into the mind of one of the white-robed assailants.

Almost, my liege. The pawns have nearly completed clearing the clifftops. Your arrival will be magnificent. she returned.

Yes...I know.
