Nathaniel as always had kept his distance from the kingdom walls watching from a tree at the bustling city. He wondered to himself what was going on to cause all of the commotion but instantly that curiosity was gone why the hell did humans do anything really. He had been in the tree all day looking over the plains watching for any sheep herders, cows, goats, pigs SOMETHING to come through for him to pick off quickly and drag back into the trees before he was spotted. Nothing though, nothing came and he was starving it had been three days but would he dare a venture into the city during broad daylight and with so many humans at that. Soon enough he would be to weak to hunt though so just this once he was sure he could remain unseen he was a warrior after all a perfect hunter! Hopping out of the trees he pulled a ragged brown cloak over his torn shirt and pants he wore. The cloak was long enough to keep himself hidden and the hood kept the less than human color of his eyes out of sight. Making his way towards the gates he stopped out of sight until a group traveling by wagon went through and he quickly blended with them entering the massive kingdom. Making his way through the crowds trying to seem apart of everything as possible he stopped listening to a man in fancy clothing speak to the crowd on how he just defeated a monster. A grumble erupted from Nathaniel's chest but he quickly quieted it that must of been the Lord everyone spoke of if he could just get his teeth around that human's neck! He paused a scent touching his nose it was that of one not human it stuck out like a sore thumb. Every being had a scent all to their own and non humans scents were easily picked out among a huge city of them. The Lord said he had killed the beasts though well apparently that was a lie he thought as he followed the scent quickly. Asides from his past pack he had seen no other non human and was interested in seeing who and what this thing was. Not that he particularly wanted to make friends but at least see it none the less. Hurrying he followed the scent and spotted a hole in a gate. That must have been where the creature made its exit he thought as he looked carefully through the hole in the gate then went through following the scent. He swore he pinned it as he saw a knight was it him? No a knight here would never be a non human but was it the child he was holding? It couldn't be was he wrong? Damn his nose couldn't be giving out on him this early!
