Severus took note of the two sisters leaving him with Creeden. Wonderful. Severus had hoped to get a compartment to himself, or at least with someone like himself, and he got one with Creeden, his polar opposite. Severus had already changed into his robes. They were quite simple, neither majestic nor beautiful; simple, black robes. He had never seen the point in buying luxurious robes fit for royalty if he was going to outgrow them in a matter of months anyway.

Severus glanced out at the landscape they were passing through out the window. This was his favourite area which the Hogwarts Express would pass through on its way to the castle. It was a woodland, dark in the night, with tall, branchless trees that were ordered like a grid. It rather reminded him of the Forbidden Forest, though he hardly knew the exact location of this forest. All he wanted now, however, was simply to get to Hogwarts, and get through his sixth year of the school.
