[Multiverse] Steven T. Krane

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Wizard_and_Glass on Fri Oct 17, 2008 9:49 am

Basics
Name: Steven Terrel Krane
Experimental Designation: Ess Tee Kay One Oh One
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Race: Bio-engineered human
Class: Hunter-killer
Height: 5’8”
Weight: 200 pounds
Blood type: Nanotech liquid Omega
Current functionality rating: 120%
Danger rating: 100%

Appearance
Eyes: Cold, calculating gray with an orange glow behind them
Hair: Black, chin length
Body: Somewhat too lean for what his weight should be, well-defined musculature
Clothing: Normally found in a tight black bodysuit beneath black pants with many pockets. Over the bodysuit but beneath the T-shirt rests a Kevlar vest that has been modified, just as he has, to bend and flex well with its owner. The T-shirt he normally wears is one he picked up after leaving the control of his handlers, navy blue with the text “Bite me” across the chest. Atop it all rests a long trench coat, made of cloth and not leather, hiding his frame from neck to knee. His oddest article, however, would likely be the goggles that rest on his forehead, many lenses upon them, flipped up until needed.

Personality
Being an experiment, Steven has been forced to learn emotions on his own after breaking from the inhibitor collar kept on all human HK models. As a result, his interactions at times seem somewhat odd, sometimes seeming to be false. It can’t be helped save by more and more interactions between the manufactured human and others. Despite everything, however, he possesses an almost childish glee when learning new things.

Skills
Being a construct, in essence, Ess Tee Kay One Oh One is the pinnacle of perfection from the secret projects of Van der Lay Industries. Aside from the fact that his musculature is four hundred percent more efficient and stronger than a normal human, his senses are all heightened to the superhuman level. His touch is great enough to sense the miniscule vibrations in the air that movements make, his sense of smell so acute that he can quite literally smell the fear of his potential prey. His hearing and eyesight are by far the best out of the five, able to detect the most minute of details in any sound, his eyesight akin to that of a bird of prey. His hand-to-hand skills are second to none amongst the Special Forces he was pitted against in testing, having shattered more than his share of bones. Firearms are his forte, his skill with an M1 Carbine far outstripping that of the models before him. Though an older firearm, it is and always will be a dangerous weapon in his hands, though he is also proficient with the use of a G18, by far his favorite pistol. What really makes Steven a danger, however, is the fact that he is far more flexible than even many contortionists can manage, as his pain tolerance lets him dislocate joints, the nanotechnology that is his blood letting him break bones to compact himself, then repair them so long as he can consume calories enough to power them. The most useful of his nanotech abilities is the fact that wounds reseal themselves automatically, though the damage is done…it is merely a closure of the wound to prevent bleeding out.

Equipment
Though the enhancements are invisible to those who cannot see through flesh, the lower portion of his right leg is entirely of a new alloy that has so far proven unbreakable, as well as the entirety of his left arm. The rest of his body is entirely human, though each portion of his development was monitored and manipulated since growing him. Due to the so-far unbreakable nature of his left arm, he has been given a trio of microfilament cords, no larger than dental floss, but as unbreakable as his arm has proven to be so far. The cords are, despite, or likely because of, their size, razor sharp, able to slice through most anything aside from whatever alloy his arm and the lower portion of his leg is made of. Their length is great enough that anyone within one hundred yards is a target. His right arm is encompassed by a sort of gauntlet from wrist to elbow, this also constructed of the same alloy, housing a tri-barreled dart launcher atop his wrist, a spring-out blade on the underside that extends out a foot and a half before his fist. The darts normally carried range from small explosive darts to a series of progressively stronger tranquilizers up to a dose strong enough to OD an elephant. The other weapons in his arsenal consist of a black jutte of unknown origin, a heavily modified M1 Carbine that is able to fire far further than a standard rifle of its caliber, a G18 that has only been modified with an extended clip, looking a bit comical when loaded with that clip, for it juts far below the end of the grip, and the goggles that give him the ability to fire on par with a sniper, though his rifle possesses no scope…the magnification comes from the lenses he is able to flip down over each eye. Aside from his abundant equipment, he is a deadly hand-to-hand combatant, body flexible and pain tolerance high. His weight, despite his thin size, is due to the fact that his artificial limbs weigh more than a normal limb, carrying many extra magazines for both the M1 and the G18.

History
Though never truly born in the conventional manner, Ess Tee Kay One Oh One, later to be known by the name Steven Terrel Krane, was conceived in the manner of any other human being: the union of a man and woman. His conception, however, was one that was strictly monitored, the scientific team going so far as to ensure that the two were observed in the lab after selecting the “parents.” His “mother” carried him for only a small amount of time, only until the scientific team was sure that he was indeed growing inside her before he had been surgically removed from within her. From her womb to a tube, the child was monitored and altered as they saw fit, injecting certain newly made drugs to stimulate muscle growth, altering the body structure to ensure maximum strength and flexibility in a small package. The team, “mother and father” included, also tried their best to manipulate brain growth, as well. Upon reaching the age at which he could begin testing, he was put through test after test, training exercise upon training exercise, run nearly ragged. Upon reaching his maximum height at twenty four, having shown that he was tolerant to pain to the point of being able to undergo surgery without the use of anesthesia, the soldier template, as they saw him, was put through a procedure that exchanged his blood for nanotech liquid that rendered him immune to illness and boosted his body’s durability even further by giving him the ability to recover from wounds provided that he consumed enough calories to power the miniscule ‘bots in his body, making him four times as efficient as the older human HK models, for nanotech liquid Omega was four times as efficient as Beta in all areas and over six times as efficient at transporting oxygen through the body. What no one counted on, however, was the experiment gaining an independent mind of its own on its first supervised trial aboveground. During a hunt through the forest above the underground lab, the experiment found a way to smash the inhibitor collar around its neck, using the Paratrooper stock, modified M1 Carbine and G18 to slaughter all of the handlers save one, who managed to hit him with one of its own tranquilizers that it had carelessly dropped, thanking his lucky stars that it had held enough to down an elephant. During the madness that had ensued, the so-called perfect soldier had suffered grievous wounds to his left arm and right thigh, enough so that it required amputation despite his healing abilities. It was then that the scientific team decided to try out its new alloy that had been shipped to them, taking immense heat to shape, having to attach it to his body while still hot, which would have driven any normal man insane. His new arm and portion of his leg worked perfectly, the team even going so far as to mold new, cloned flesh to his metallic body parts, giving him his wires then and there to test them. It was then that the anomaly cropped up once more…his mind was his own, using his newly granted weapons to make his way out of the lab again, stealing his weapons once more from the armory after finding that the alloy wires could slice through solid steel doors. With a last frantic battle through which he was oddly calm through it all, the lab was left a virtual wasteland, the team set back years in their research with the destroyed content and dead scientists, though some did survive the carnage through dumb luck. Two years later, the experiment is still on the loose, no longer Ess Tee Kay One Oh One, but Steven Terrel Krane, hunted by many, embraced by few, and loved by none.

{On a side note here, any observations/advice/anything else you want to give would be appreciated.}
