Background/History:
Storm was born to a poor family. His mother died while giving birth to his twin brother Damian and they never knew what became of their father. Storm and Damian lived with their grandmother until they turned eighteen years of age. Their grandmother was an elf and she was very old, even by elves reckonings. She did the equivalent of dying for an elf that year. For her she became a tree. Their mother had died because [as far as Storm could decern anyways] she was human and couldn't handle the strain of having an elf child. Storm has yet to discover that he can control the weather, though he sometimes does it without actually knowingly doing so. Storm and Damian always travel together, even if they are not always right with each other. They also travel with the great mighty dragon Jasmine, a beautiful deep blue dragon that Storm was slightly afraid of. [One personality note on Storm: He tends to be angry and volatile because he resents the lose of his parents, though Damian never ussually catches the bad side of his wrath.]
Damian was not present when his and Storm's grandmother died, though Storm had been. Damian had been out running a message to an old friend of their Grandmothers and he was angry upon his return that he had not had a chance to say good bye. Less then a fort night later he was called away again to meet with the same friend and that was when he met Jasmine. That first encounter with the mighty red dragon left Damian almost dumbstruck. Jasmine had explained that she had been orphaned, just like Damian and Storm, and their grndmother had taken care of her just the same. Jasmine had also explained that their grandmother had hoped that She and the twins would be able to be friends and protec each other. Jasmine smiled when she said, "Your grandmother told me I should talk to you first, for you are the only one who can convince your brother of the merit of the idea." Damian found out about his ability to shift shapes when he was a young child. Sometimes he doesn't have very good control over his ability to shift shapes, but he practices everyday. Storm ribs him about it, and tries to hide his jealous but Damian can see that Storm wishes he had a cool power of his own.
Jasmine was hatched 200 years to the day before Storm and Damian were born. though when she hatched she was quite surprised to find herself alone. She tried to call out for her mother but she had gotten no answer. For three days she had waited before she was found by Storm's and Damian's grandmother. A kindly old elf lady who cared for Jasmine as if she were her own child. For 200 years they shard a bond and when Storm and Damian's father brought them along, Jasmine had loved the baby boy's from her first sight, but their grandmother said that Jasmine shouldn't spend too much time with them while they were young, she didn't want them to grow up un-normal, and not having a healthy fear of a dragon upon first sight would surely do the trick. When it was nearing the boy's 18th birthday, the kindly old elf lady told Jasmine that her time had come, and that she would be leaving them soon. She told Jasmine exactly how to convince the Boys that she was a friend, and told her she had to talk to damian first. Then left her with a secret set of instructions on how to find the boy's father, should the need arise and the boys want to try. Even the boys didn't know of that though.
