The End of the Beginning

High Priestess Noon adjusted her over elaborate religious garb and rounded the corner. The space station rocked gently as another missile hit it. The shields absorbed it but they could only hold out for a few hours under continued bombardment; the recoil was testament to that. She stepped to her left and let a contingent of armed soldiers run past her. Alarmed now that the threat was genuinely real she looked out a viewport. There was nothing but vast chasm of space.

Then suddenly there was a massive noise, like a sonic boom. Then there it was a massive ship. No, Noon thought. It wasn’t a ship, it was an organic vessel. “Jillael help me,” she whispered as she looked at the body of the ancient devil God, Karonotic. Turning from the window she was surprised to see the demon at all.

“What have you done Hapael?” she whispered, clinging to the golden sun which hung off her neck; the symbol of her religion.

“My lord was hungry Noon. He wanted to feast, and who am I to stand in his way,” replied the demon, his eyes yellow with unholy hunger. “I know you will miss me, so meet two of my finest warriors: Kriss and Kane. They will take care of you.” From behind him stepped two identical warriors, each brandishing a spiked chain. Hapael smiled then disappeared into nothingness.

Noon smiled as the one on the left, Kane, attacked first. She whispered an incantation and the chain turned into a holy-light. The demon dropped it as if burnt, but quickly pulled a hidden blade from inside his armor. Noons calmly picked up light-spiked chain and span it around a few times.

Unperturbed both warriors attacked at once. Quickly using her index finger, she drew a symbol in the air in front of her out of what appeared to be light. She then pointed at the chain wielding Kriss and the symbol attached itself to him. He froze in his tracks. For him the space-time continuum had stopped and until Noon released him he would be like that forever.

She turned just in time to see Kane’s blade come at her in a massive arc. She kept stepping back, but he kept coming. The sword was a mere extension of his body; it was rare to see a weapon used with such finesse. Kane gave a battle cry and tried to stretch out with his sword and slice her, in the process over-stepping.
In his quick moment of weakness Noon shot a bolt of holy lightning into the demon’s stomach he fell backward, he still clutched his sword but there was no way he could use it.

“You have so much power,” he said, his eyes alight with hunger.

“No, I have devotion,” Noon replied, and watched as the demon became smoke and disappeared into the air vents.

The priestess took a deep breath and leant back against the metal wall. Then suddenly the wall crashed open and massive tentacles were every where. Using the holy-chain she flicked and scored a hit on one of the tentacles approaching her. It receded back into space. Casting a seal on herself to allows her to breath, she arced the chain in a long fluid moment amputating the top of another approaching tentacle.

Then a monolithic tentacle crashed through the ceiling and knocked the weapon from her hand. It wrapped her up, and a voice entered her head, You are now mine High Priestess Noon. In one dareeinth I will absorb you, and in turn absorbing the powers of your God Jillael…

To all whom a listening, this High Commander Hughes of the UNF ship The Behemoth and I ask for your help. One week ago High Priestess Noon was captured while spending time on the Space Station 38 above the planet Taasarga. We believe that she was captured by a Demon tribe known as the Devil’s Blade. I ask that any citizen who has the time to help do so; the High Priestess is a very important figure as you all know. There will be rewards for any citizens who present results.

Systems

The Rell System:
The Rell System is a system of several planets that circulate the sun Taiion 3. The sun is extremely hot and powerful in turn generating enough heat and enough light to make each planet inhabitable to some point. The Rell System was created by the Goddess Jellial, who controls all that is good, just and right. She originally lived in the system but as intelligent life became corrupt she abandoned them. Occasionally she returns to visit the disciples of her order. The planets are:

. Taasarga-Mainly barren, full of useful minerals
. Liel-Mainly forest vegetation
. Jellial-A mixture of all terrains; some call it the Eden of the Rell System
. Noep-Except for two continents it is purely ocean
. Fael- Hot and covered in beautiful plains
. June- A sprawling metropolis occupies half of the planet. Its displays work from all cultures in the Rell System
. Trah- A giant snow covered planet only newly discovered

The Ller System:An evil dark parallel version of the Rell System; each planet can barely support life, and it is either to cold or too hot. Only one race, separated into different tribes, lives here. This realm was created by the evil God Karonotic. The planets are:

. Agrasaat- Dead; supports no life but has some useful minerals
. Leil-Covered in volcanoes and lakes of molten rock
. Karonotic-A mixture of volcanoes, chasms and earthquakes; some call the Hell of Ller
. Peon-A vegetation rich planet which contains and assortment of vicious wildlife
. Leaf- A dying planet
. Enuj- Covered in a city of massive proportions, its only export is pollution
, Hart-Contains the only rebels who detest Karonotics leadership

The Rellller System:
Created by Karonotic and Jellial when they were forced to combine to fight off a powerful enemy called Chaos; had each god decided to fight the enemy in their own realm, chances are that the system would be destroyed. The Rellller system is now nothing but dead space. When the Ller System and Rell System have disputes they use the Rellller system as galactic battlegrounds.



Races:

Humans:
Created on the planet Jellial they were meant to be mortal gods. When the humans proved that they were too selfish and aggressive to wield Jellial only gave them Minor Magic and allowed them practice the barbaric art of the hand-to-hand combat. Over thousands of years they proved to be good at technology, especially weaponry and more then once Jellial herself has had to impose her authority by stopping a Human’s death machine herself. There is no average human.

Elves:
Created on the planet Liel they weren’t meant to be priests to the Humans. It was their curiosity of the natural world that caused them to lose their powers, and instead replaced with a far more powerful magic. Able to communicate to most living things, they also built organic space cruisers and organic devices. They are usually peaceful. Most Elves stand at over 6 foot full grown, and are born with knowledge of how to use magic. Some choose to become other things, but most remain on Liel and become magisters of the Elements, the Shadow or the Light (Light is different from Holy)

Dwarves:
Created on the planet Taasarga, Dwarves were meant to be the builders and workes for the Humans. However, they were shown to be creative and technologically adept, so Jellial stripped all Dwarves of any magical power and they create their own branch of magister: the Techno-Mage. Dwarves are small in stature, usually five foot, with strong upper bodies. They are always ready to argue. They were the first race to create space technology.

Demons:
Found on all planets in Ller System. They are an evil race who only survived by receiving gifts from Karonotic. Although they have been shown to be fast learners, decent warriors and adept Hell Magisters. They appear as Humans, but with curved horns coming out of their foreheads, dark red skin tones and yellow eyes.

Magic

All races in known metaverse can use magic to some extent:

1)Minor Magic- the ability to do things other Humans couldn’t do
2)Elemental Magic- the ability that gives Eves the ability to control the elements
3)Shadow Magic- the ability to gives evil-orientated Elves the ability to torture
4)Light Magic- the ability that gives good-orientated Elves the ability to heal
5)Techno Magic- the ability that give Dwarves to activate special devices to activate magic spells
6)Holy Magic- the ability that gives priests and priestesses the ability to heal, seal, convert and smite allies and enemies.
7)Hell Magic- the ability the gives Demons the ability to torture, trap, transform and incinerate enemies.

Important NPCs and Organizations:

1 )Jellial-the good God who watches over those in the Rell System. She has existed since the beginning of time
2 )Karonotic- the bad God who gives gifts to those Demons who live in the Ller System
3 )High Priestess Noon- a human who is said to be the mortal Jellial herself
4 )Happael- leader of the Devil’s Blade tribe, a devout follower of Karonotic
5 )UNF- United Navy Forces, the combined space force of the Rell System
6 )The Council- the united government of Rell located on the planet June in the massive city of Gundoh
7 )The Devil’s Blade- a powerful Demon Tribe that has roots on all seven planets in Ller System
8 )Chaos-the only God who has ever tried to wage war against Jellial and Karonotic




OOC:

This game is an obvious mixture of science fiction and fantasy. Although it may seem confusing at first it is set in the age of casual space travel. So there are such things as lasers, hover cars and space ships. However, there are also fantasy aspects as well: magic (fireballs, ice shards, etc), the known existence of Gods and so on and so forth.

Each interested player needs to PM me a PC sheet like this first before being accepted!!!! There are to be no Demons without my express permission:
