Umm...hi...

Erm...hello there. My name's Ripple. I've only been roleplaying for about a year, over e-mail with a friend. Normally I do medieval RPs, but, you see, I had this idea.
It might sound a bit stupid, but I was thinking about if this group of middle schoolers, 8'th graders to be precise, gained powers. Elemental...psychic...or any other kind. But everyone had a different power, and only one. There would be popular kids, Unpopular kids, and those who just don't care. During the night, their powers came. As soon as the sun rose, the powers faded. They don't need sleep, on account of the energy emanating from their powers coursing through their veins.
Anyway, the populars and unpopulars are locked in an eternal battle for rule of the school. Those who don't care are there to either try to stop the fighting, to just fight, or to try to take over the school themselves. They can only fight on the grounds of their school, for any damage caused anywhere else doesn't fade with the coming of the sun.
They can't die by unnatural causes. That is, if someone got strangled by a super-strength, they would fade, and wake up the next morning in their beds with memories and no powers.
Any feedback on the idea would be greatly appreciated.
