Imageβ™” Full Name β™”: Hige Tsuki Shizuka

β™” Age β™”: 17

β™” Gender β™”: Male

β™” Meister/weapon? β™”: Meister

β™” Sexuality β™”: Bisexual

Imageβ™” Physical Description/Clothing Preference β™”: Hige has longish white hair and yellow eyes. He's about 5' 11" and weighs about 143lbs. He is built for battle, muscular and not an ounce of fat on him. He has long legs, pointed features, long graceful fingers, and bony elbows. He tends to wear a black outfit that looks a lot like a school uniform, with a light blue jacket with a fur lined hood over it.

β™” Personality β™”: Hige is hard working and an avid reader. He puts his all into everything he does, even if he doesn't like doing it. He can be pretty stubborn at times, especially when it comes to work. He's passionate about what he loves to do and can get a little (Reads: A lot) violent over it. He's not afraid to butt heads with people, or get in trouble for doing it. He's blunt and to the point, he simply doesn't like to mess around with things. He can come off as a little rude and unfriendly, but in truth he hasn't had much time in his life to socialize with people and make friends. So it isn't that he's unfriendly, he's just socially awkward. He can't hold a conversation very well when it comes to just small talk, but ask him questions and you can keep him interested. He's strong mentally and can stay focused on a single task or object, giving him very good control over his soul wavelengths.

He doesn't seem to ever run out of energy, you can see him running around all day and he doesn't seem a bit tired. While he does have lots of energy, that's only part of it. The other part it that he's gotten really good at hiding things from people. He isn't a very patient person and can't sit still for more than about seven minutes without starting to squirm, unless he's reading a really good book. His sense of time is great and only looks at a clock once a day, when he wakes up. On the other hand he has a terrible sense of direction and tends to lost very easily. Hige tends to shoot first and ask questions later, rush into things recklessly without thinking of the outcome. He would kill or be killed for the people he cares about without second thought. He would much rather take the hit for someone than them take it for him. Even though the job of the weapon is to protect the meister. His trust doesn't come easy, but its completely worth it to take the time and earn it. Because his loyalty is unbreakable.

He does very well in stressful situations and can think on his feet. One of the good sides of him being headstrong. He can change tactics and fighting styles in an instant to better fit the situation. His ability to keep cool also makes him a natural leader, though he has trouble conveying his ideas to others.

Imageβ™” Likes β™”: Books
Training
Food
Running
Any shade of blue

β™” Dislikes β™”: Idiots
Ungrateful people
Heights
Light spring colors
People getting hurt on his account

β™” Talents β™”: In battle he is quick and agile, naturally strong, has excellent balance, and is completely unpredictable with his style. He has very good control over his soul wavelengths and can use them in a variety of different ways. Including shooting bursts out through his hands, channeling it through his feet to give himself a jumping boost, and creating a whip or rope out of it. Out of battle he is an excellent cook and speed reader.

β™” Fears β™”: Heights, Hige's biggest fear is heights. As long as doesn't pay attention to the fact that he's high up, he's fine. But the minute he starting thinking about it he gets light headed, dizzy, and in extreme cases just simply passes out.

Spiders, he absolutely hates creepy crawly things.

Imageβ™”Bio β™”: Hige is the oldest of five. He was born in Kyoto, Japan and was raised by a single mother. As soon as he was old enough to, he started helping his mother out wherever he could, getting odd jobs, taking care of his siblings, anything he could do. But even though he faked that he was happy where he was, from a young age he wanted to join the DWMA. His mother had a weak immune system, one that she unfortunately passed on to most of the children, save for Hige. Hige was twelve when an illness swept through Kyoto. And you can probably guess what happened.

Actually, the only one in their family who got sick was Hige, go figure, because he was working himself so hard. He still didn't learn his lesson after that and kept working himself too hard. Eventually his mother figured out his dream of being a meister, so she practically forced him to leave home and venture to Death City.

β™” Other β™”: Though he didn't get his family's weak immune system, he does have a case of Vertigo. Which is only strengthed when he is up high due to his fear.

So begins...

Hige yawned as he wandered into the classroom that would be his place of learning for a while. He had stayed up late the night before, reading his favorite book for the tenth time. If it wasn't for his alarm he would have overslept. He was one of the first people to arrive so he took a seat not only in the back, but also in a corner. That way he could see everybody in the room if needed. The people in the room were already chatting, trying to find their weapons or meisters. But honestly, Hige wasn't worried about it. If they had to go out of their ways to find someone, then it wasn't the right person. He'd know his partner when he saw them.

Hige pulled his book out of his bag and continued reading where he had left off the night before. Instantly becoming emerged in the world that the book created. But that peace didn't last long, as more people started to come in, the noise got louder and louder. It was becoming very hard to submerge himself in the world of the book, when all the noise from the real world drowned it out. He wanted to say something, to tell them all to shut up and let him concentrate, but it wasn't in his nature to do so. Only a few seconds later he heard a female voice yelling at everyone to shut up. He looked up from his book to see that there was another person in the back row. He had been so focused on reading that he hadn't even noticed her.

She was pretty that was sure. Though he had never seen anyone with skin that dark before, not in Japan. He couldn't help but smile a little bit, not because of her looks, but because she had told everyone to shut up. Literally seconds after he had thought it. He wondered for a moment if she could read minds, then decided that it was a silly thing to think. "She's so different." He mumbled to himself, not thinking of the fact that she could probably hear him.

Jerrica shot a glare over to the male that spoke. She pierced through his eyes, her silver ones seeming as cold as ice. This boy was different. He spoke after she had blatantly told everyone to be quiet. She got up from her seat, her chair falling back behind her. She walked over to where he was, not bothering to pick up her chair. She slid onto the desk in front of him and crossed her legs, one of the smooth coffee brown legs setting on his lap. "What did you say?" She said sweetly but menacingly at the same time.

The sound of a chair falling over broke Hige out of his book. Again. With a small sigh, he looked up to see the dark skinned girl who had shut everybody up coming over. She sat on the desk in front of him and crossed her legs, one of them ending up in his lap. When she spoke, he had to admit that she sounded scary. But he wasn't one to back down, pretty much ever. He set the book down on his bag, with the assumption that it would be a while before he got the chance to read it again. This situation could go one of three ways, yelling, fisticuffs, or a teacher would walk in and they would quietly glare at each other through the lesson. "I said you're different. I never met someone like you in Japan." His tone was a mixture of calm and blunt. But if things escalated, that wouldn't be the case for long.

Hige genuinely meant what he said. He hadn't met anyone like this girl in Japan. Looks wise, or attitude wise. He kind of liked it. And he had the feeling that they would be butting heads. A lot. If neither of them died horribly that is. He locked eyes with the girl, his gold orbs meeting her silver ones. He wished he could see souls, because he was suddenly curious as to what this girl's soul was like.

Jerrica gazed at the male in front of her as his golden eyes were staring straight at her. He was different as well. Nobody dared to look her in the eyes, whether it be because she was intimidating or maybe just because she was different. She extended her hand out, her long done finger nails grazing his face and feeling his smooth skin. She might have been getting a little touchy, but it seemed as if the boy didn't mind. She even moved his silver hair out of his face. A smirk crawled onto Jerrica's face. He was the one. She could just tell. She didn't move her legs a bit and the teacher wasn't supposed to come in for another 15 minutes. As they stared off for another 5, she broke the trance by sticking her tongue out at him. It was more playful than to be mean. "So, what's your name?" She asked as she brushed her ebony hair over her shoulder. No, she wasn't vain but she knew what to do when she wanted something and she wanted to know more about this person.

Hige kept his eyes locked with the girl's. Not daring to be the first to look away. When she reached up and began to touch his face, he still didn't move. It wasn't that he liked it when strangers touched his face. But he didn't dislike it either. He could feel something past her fingers, he zoned out for a moment, keeping his eyes on hers. He focused on the feeling and quickly discovered that it was her soul wavelength. He may not have been able to see souls, but due to his control of his own wavelengths he could sense other people's. Her wavelengths were strong and a little bit on the scary side. Unlike his own which, while still strong, were energetic and bouncy. He decided to try something.

Hige let his focus shift from her wavelengths, to his own. Channeling just a small amount into the girl's. He wanted to see if they were compatible. The result was interesting. Her wavelength had an iron grip on his, still letting them move, but stopping them from bouncing around. While his wavelengths circled hers, keeping the scary and intimidating stuck inside, while still letting them be strong. Their wavelengths didn't match, but they complimented each other so well it made them compatible. Hige finally shifted his focus back to the girl herself. Just in time to see her stick her tongue out at him. He couldn't help but smile at that. She wanted to know his name.

He opened his mouth to speak, but remembered that this was America and they said their first name and then their last name. Unlike Japan who did the opposite. So he quickly corrected himself and used the American way of saying it. "I'm Hige Shizuka." He broke eye contact just long enough to glance around the classroom. A lot of kids had arrived and he guessed that class would be starting in about ten minutes. If he was correct in that he had zoned out for about five. "How about you, what's your name?"

Jerrica sat on the desk, her slender coffee brown leg not moving an inch. As she felt him focus on her soul, she slightly fought back. As they continued the tug of war with souls, she realized that they would possibly be able to be a team. Her silver eyes had a glint of light green sparkle in her eyes. She couldn't see his soul but she felt him moving around her soul. She could feel the soft hearted but firm soul circling hers and making her cold soul warm. Her soul smiled and she just accepted him now. He seemed to want to give her a chance, and now she was ready to give him one. When he spoke his name, her eyes closed, letting her long eyelashes flutter on her cheeks then she opened them again. "I'm Jerrica Wilson." She uttered then uncrossed her legs for a slight moment then crossed them again. "So. What's your story?" She questioned, setting her elbow on her knee then setting her cheek in her hand, ready to listen.

Hige let himself relax a little bit, now that he knew the girl, wasn't going to kill him. Her name was Jerrica, a name as different as the rest of her to Hige. And one that was just as pretty. He was almost certain that Jerrica was the one, his partner and weapon. He wanted to get to know her better, what her weapon form was, why she was in the DWMA, even the smallest things. But before he could say anything, she asked him what his story was. For a moment he didn't answer, wanting to make sure he knew what she was talking about and he was going to answer first. "Well, I'm afraid it isn't a very interesting one. I was born in Kyoto, Japan. I'm the oldest of five, three girls and two boys. My father left after Tsubame, the youngest, was born, leaving our mother to raise us alone. I did everything I could to help, from chores, to earning whatever money I could, to taking care of the my siblings. I guess I've always wanted to join the DWMA but kept it to myself since my family needed me."

Hige paused, wondering if he should tell Jerrica that it had taken him nearly working himself to death and his mother practically kicking him out of the house to get him here. He decided that he would, if they were to be partners they would need to be honest with each other. "My mother has a weak immune system, which she passed on to most of us. Except for me. So of course, when an illness spread through our neighborhood, I was the only one in our family to catch it. The doctor's said it was because I was working myself so hard trying to help my mother. One of my friends told my mother about my dream of coming here, because they were worried about me working myself to death. My mother had to nearly disown me to get me out of the house and come here. Don't get me wrong, I wanted to, but I didn't want to leave them."

He turned away when he said the last part, feeling a little shy about telling Jerrica all this. Potential partners or not, they were still practically strangers. But he felt he could trust her, yet another thing that made Hige feel that they were meant to be partners.

Jerrica was fascinated, seeing similarities between both of their stories. She had told her own but she wasn't sure if she should or not... She lived on the streets, scrounging for food, doing anything to keep her siblings alive. How do you explain that you sold your body off so you could get the next meal for your family. She was hesitant to tell him because she let her guard down when she told about her past. Some parts of the past she didn't want to remember.

"We have a lot of similarities between stories. I lived on the streets with my siblings Dallas and Mary. It was hard and I did everything I could to get food for the next meal. Everything. I had to, I couldn't just let them starve."

She looked away from the boy this time, trying to not make contact. Just think of her brother and sister during that time made her so angry. She was angry at herself though. She was the one that got them out on the streets. Mom died and gave all the money to her good for nothing father. When she asked him to stay, he replied that Jerrica was a good for nothing bitch, just like her mother. She pleaded for him to take Dallas and Mary but he refused. All because of Jerrica, her brother and sister went close to starvation sometimes and that made her angry and disappointed at herself.

Hige frowned, he was pretty sure he knew what she meant by everything. He knew why she did it, and didn't think any less of her for doing so. He had gotten really close to doing the same thing a couple of times, but he got lucky and never actually had to. It made him think more of her, her ability to do whatever she had to, in order to protect her family. He didn't know if he should do it, but he wanted to comfort her. He wasn't sure if she would take it well or not. But there was only one way to find out. Carefully he reached out and put a hand on Jerrica's shoulder. "I... never had to go as far as you did. But I got pretty close a few times. The only difference is that I got lucky and you didn't. I don't think any less of you for it. I think more of you."

It was then that Hige realized he didn't know whether she was a weapon or a meister. He really hoped they weren't both meisters because then they could be partners. They could still be friends though and he was certain that they would be. As much as he wanted to know what she was, he didn't say anything. His desire to not ruin the moment outweighed his desire to learn. But just this once.

Jerrica tried not to show emotion most of the time but with this person it was different. She saw something different in this boy.

"The only difference is that I got lucky and you didn't."

She looked at him, her piercing silver eyes gazing into his eyes as if they were examining his soul. He seemed to actually care unlike his father but she still could hear her father's voice yelling at her.

"What now?"

She questioned the boy confidently, keeping her emotions held back as she leaned back on the desk and uncrossed then crossed her legs again. Her legs now sat even closer to the boy, she seemed to have no regards for personal space, but that just wasn't her nature.
