Misano Amane's Story

Misano walked down the long hallway in Death Weapon Meister Academy. She had kept her pace and never once faltered. Her face had it's usual smile on it as she continued to walk. She bumped into a girl later on.
"Eek, I'm so sorry, miss! I don't pay attention, are you okay?"
Misano nodded and stood up slowly.
"No, I was in the wrong there. I'm alright."
The girl looked at Misano in confusion.
"Why are you writing stuff down?"
A small soundless laugh escaped her.
"Cause I'm mute."
The girl gasped.
"Oh my gosh! How can you be so calm about it?!"
Misano's smile stayed on her face.
"It's been a long time since I've been mute. I'd say... about six years. No one can complain about me talking too much though."
The girl felt a small laugh escape.
"You're kinda funny..."
Misano grinned.
"That's what I'm here for."
A wave of bitterness swept through her. Yes, that was what she was here for. Make others happy and find out what positive emotions could feel like. The girl didn't notice and carried on the discussion with Misano.
"So you're one of the new students, right? The way to your class is to the left."
Misano nodded in thanks and continued to walk. When she did find her classroom, she noticed that there were multiple Meisters and Weapons conversing with each other. Looking closer, she noticed that most of them had already synchronized.
'The harmonies are actually fairly nice to look at. I wonder who my partner's going to be.'
Turning, she had noticed a grumpy looking effeminate boy. He had an eye patch covering his left eye and he seemed to be pissed about something. She smiled and decided to talk to him. Sitting down next to him, she had passed a note over to the boy.
"Looks like someone missed his morning coffee~"
When the boy turned to see her, she grinned at him, her scar plain to see around her neck and her white hat on her head to cover some of the unevenly cut light brown hair. Her sea green eyes shone with a welcoming kind of light despite the bags under her eyes indicating she had no sleep.
"I take it you're new here? I'm new too. Shame no one is picking you yet. But I'm sure you'll find a Meister so lighten up. Oh, I'm Misano Amane by the way. Who're you?"
Misano looked at the blue haired boy with the bad temper, somewhat eager to get to know him.

Skyler was having argument in his head with Skylar has he heard a girl shout 'SHUT UP.' Followed by 'Good. Now keep it that way.' Skyler looks to the girl as his stubbornness got a hold of him, he sat up straight and looked at the girl as he told her. "Bite me!" Skyler then sighed as just then another girl came up to him and sat next to him. Skyler blind a little confused what she was doing as she slide him a not. "Looks like someone missed his morning coffee~" He looked at the note and then looks at the girl as the words slip from his mouth. "And what if i did!?" As he was going to say something he was cut off by a voice in his head. 'Hey be nice, she took the time to come up to you and talk, if your not going to be nice. Switch with me!' Skyler made a tisk sound as he had no choice, he grabbed the eye patched on his left eye and moved it over to his right. Skylar then opened his left eye and smiles at the girl. Skylar blinked a little seeing the scar on the girl as she wrote another letter and moved it over to him. "I take it you're new here? I'm new too. Shame no one is picking you yet. But I'm sure you'll find a Meister so lighten up. Oh, I'm Misano Amane by the way. Who're you?"

Skylar smiles and chuckles a little. "My names Skylar, and the big mouth Mr.grumpy was Skyler. If you hadn't guess we share this body, basically two minds, one body. Oh and yea it is, but its understandable, since our soul wave length is unstable and no one, but probably a special person with a soul wave length that can match any one would be able to pair with us.. Skylar then looks around the room him self, he then looked toward a girl who was someone what staring at him. He smiles at the girl as he waved to her. He then turned his attain back at Misano.

The young blonde male spotted evryone and then jumped up on the desks. "I bet I'm the best in here!" he said with a very cocky attitude. He had turned towards the female from earlier and smiled. "I honestly, don't see the problem with the noise." he said in a very loud voice. As he did he made sure all the meister's see his proud,ditzy,arrogant, and last but not least his kindness. The blonde smiled and sat back down waiting for something to happen. He was visually searching for a partner to match his....uh what did his father say? He silently sang to himself as he wasited for someone to approach his uh......dang he really had to remember that word.

Misano blinked as Skylar switched personalities.
'Two minds in one body...'
Her usual grin widened a bit.
"Sounds pretty interesting. I almost wish I had a second soul in me. But, I don't know any better."
Misano listened in to the rest of his talk.
"Sounds rough..."
Then Misano got an idea.
"Why don't I try to match up our soul length? You mentioned a special person could match the wave length of both of your souls, so it could be worth a shot."
Misano waited for an answer, already calming herself down so she could match wave lengths.

'Two minds in one body...' Skylar noddes confirming what he had said was true about him self. "Sounds pretty interesting. I almost wish I had a second soul in me. But, I don't know any better." Skylar grabbed his head as he heard a loud yell from inside his head. "Ow...Ow....Skyler say's no way in hell you wouldn't, having two minds in one body can drive someone to go mad. Well that's what he said. Skylar smiles at her as he laughs a little. making sure she doesn't take anything he says in the wrong way. "Why don't I try to match up our soul length? You mentioned a special person could match the wave length of both of your souls, so it could be worth a shot." Skylar left eye widen a bit taking back on what she said. Skyler from in his head went silent as he was shocked also, But he then tells skylar to give it a shot since this could be their only chance. So skylar looks at Misano as she was already calming down to match his wave length. Skylar then couldn't help but smile as a twinkle came from his eyes that he was happy. He then closed his eye to calm down. He then took Misano hand.

In a instant he felt something connect to his soul, But it then vanished as his soul wave length changed. Skylar/skyler soul wave length kept changing at a fast pace. To Skylar it felt like a race. Everytime Misano wave length was ablt to connect to his soul wave length, his soul wave length would move fast. But a matter of seconds Skylar felt it. Misano wave length perfectly connect with Skylar soul wave length. Skylar smiled as he opened his left eye to look at Misano. "Looks like i shall be serving as your weapon from now on. I hope to be of help to you!" Skylar was now happy he found a meister.

'Skylar switch with me! now!' Skylar sighs as he looks at Misano. "Well looks like we will talk later. bye for now!" With that Skylar used his free hand to move his eye patch back over his left eye. As his read eye then opens. Skyler looks at Misano, "Don't think just cause you matched our soul wave length you can boss me around got it! Skyler looks down as he relized he was still holding Misano hand. He pulls his hand away as a blush appears on his face. "Don't get any funny idea's either." Skylar turns his head to hide his blush. He then smiles his fangs showing as he was actually happy he found someone to be his meister, or better Skylar meister.

Misano let out a silent breath of relief as her soul connected with Skylar's.
'So... This is what it's like to connect with a Weapon. I now have my own weapon.'
As Misano continued to reflect, Skylar switched places with Skyler, who seemed none too happy about the situation.
"Don't think just cause you matched our soul wave length you can boss me around, got it?!"
Misano raised one of her arms in surrender while the free hand wrote.
"Wouldn't dream of it. Partners are supposed to stand on equal footing, not have one boss the other around. Besides, I'm not one to take the dictator approach to everything."
She then saw Skyler withdraw his hand from hers, blushing.
"Don't get any funny ideas either..."
Misano was confused at first, then laughed silently.
"Hate to say it but you were the only one who took it that far~ But, I'll only be interested if you'll be. Still, I didn't know scars could be turn-ons~"
There was a bit of truth in Misano's teasing. She'd only be interested in romance if she knew it would be reciprocated. She then turned to Skyler again.
"So, what's your reason for coming to DWMA? Or do the two minds not conflict in that regard?"

"Wouldn't dream of it. Partners are supposed to stand on equal footing, not have one boss the other around. Besides, I'm not one to take the dictator approach to everything." Skyler looks at the Misano and sighs a little. "Your wrong, a meister is in control most of the time. Us "weapons are just tool to help you fight. So just some advise. When you use us, make sure to make us look good got it." This was the nice way for skyler to say thanks. "Hate to say it but you were the only one who took it that far~ But, I'll only be interested if you'll be. Still, I didn't know scars could be turn-ons~" Skyler looks at her as he grins a little about her come back has he liked she had a back done at least. But he then looks at her as he looks away blushing a little as he sighs. "It's not a turn on okay, but to me. A scar tells a story, could be a good one or a bad one. But it tells a story of what some one can go though. He then looks at Misano as he reaches up and touches the tip of her scar on her neck. "And I can tell you have a sad story about this scar huh?" His face then went redder as he pulled his hand away and looked to the side as he yelled at him self. "I only like cause she is our meister. Nothing more you baka!" Skyler eyes narrowed a little as he continued to talk to him self. "My heart did not skip when when you mentioned being with her! Skyler then lost his cool when he started to curse at him self, but rather to skylar who was in his head in Japanese due to that when every skylar/skyler gets really made or frustrated they start to speak in Japanese.

Skyler sighed as he then grabbed the eye patch moving it back over his right eye. Skylar sighed as he made a puffy face. "Dame he hide" Skylar looks over to Misano and smiles. "I'm back! sorry about all that. Skylar smiles as he laughs a little. "So, what's your reason for coming to DWMA? Or do the two minds not conflict in that regard?" Skylar looks at her as he then turns to face the front of the class as he sighs. His eyes went cold a little. "Thats a long story. Well best to start from the beginning huh? Well my mother is a meister and my dad a weapon. My mother was a top meister while my dad began a personal death scythe to lord death. My mom and dad went to japan and lived there for most of there life. So any way, my mother had a rare sickness, and due to that she died after giving birth to me. My father, loved my mom so much. That he blames me for her death. Skylar then lifts up his arms to hold up the sleeves of the stray jacket up. "I had to wear this stray jacket so much that its like a regular jacket to me now. so any ways, my father abused me, tortured me, punished me for any little thing he can and i have the scars on my back to prove it. When I was eight, I was close to ending my life cause i couldn't take it any more. But thats when Skyler came and well he took all the pain for me. This went for years until Lord Kid came and found i had my parents blood in me and I was able to turn in a weapon. So here We are now. Skylar puts his arms down as he then smiles at Misano.

Misano frowned as Skylar told his tale.
"Sorry... I didn't mean to dig up any old wounds..."
Misano was silent for a bit, debating internally before writing down her tale.
"But, you aren't alone in the abuse part. See, my dad was a heavy drinker and he always had something to be pissed off about. My mom never got involved because she never wanted something to ruin her reputation. To this day, I'm still picking out glass from my chest from all the times he tried to kill me. That scar on my neck is a reminder that he's the reason I'm mute. He tried to sever my head but my mom saved me at the last second. After he got arrested, I wandered for a long time. No one seemed to care when I try to reach out. Since then, I've forgotten how to feel genuinely positive emotions. I found out that I could see souls and entered DWMA. ...I'm here for you is the point I'm trying to get across. I'll shoulder your pain and always be here. The same to you, Skyler. I'll do my best to defend the both of you."
Misano's smile was now somber as her shoulders begun to shake. She was trying her hardest not to cry. It had been a long time since she tried to reach out for help and it hurt.

　　"Sorry... I didn't mean to dig up any old wounds..." Skylar smiles at Misano and shacks his head. "Doesn't matter, its not like Skyler or me are trying to hide them or anything and plus. If your gunna be our meister, its best you know everything about us right?" He smiles more as he takes a glace down and see's a boy talking to the girl who was looking at him and now the boy looked at him. He looked back at Misano wondering if they though he was weird cause he was wearing a stray jacket or something. Skylar then read her long note about her past as he sigh a little and shacks his head. He then looks at Misano and smiles at her. "Skyler and I both agree that you don't have to shoulder out pain. We are the weapon, its our job to protect the meister. So let us shoulder your pain, and will protect you. He looks at Misano as he notice her shoulders where shacking lightly. He then grabs her hand and pulls her into a hug as he hugs her tight, but softly. HE the whispers talking to him self forget that Misano could hear him whisper since he was hugging her. "Shut up Skylar, you know you like her too. Don't be jealous cause I get to hug her.....ow...ow....okay sorry.... He winces a little as skyler was yelling from inside Skylar head to his remark about him liking Misano.

Kelly smiled at the boy before nodding towards him. "Okay, let's be partners.", she said to him and listening quietly as he seemed to talk to himself. He was just to cute! Following his line of eyesight she found him staring at the boy with two souls. Pressing her hands to her mouth to hide the small chuckle that tried to break free she motioned with her other hand towards the boy who also seemed to be talking with a female meister. "You should go talk to him if that's what you want, no point in just staring. That makes you a creeper.", she commented at the boy before looking back at her work and began to doodle slightly in the margins.

The boy was nice but she knew when people had had enough of her quiet demeanour and she was simply giving the guy an out and a chance to go talk to me people in case he felt obligated to remain talking with her now they were partners. "Oh, And archer. I'm a Crossbow, just in case you were wondering. ", she commented to the boy having expected him to be turning to leave or something of the sorts, shortening his middle name and sending him a quick, encouraging smile.

That had surprised Misano quite a bit. She did not expect Skylar to tell her that he and Skyler were going to shoulder her burdens. Usually it was the other way around. Either way, Misano was grateful.
"Thank you, Skylar... You too Skyler..."
Something else that had surprised her was when he saw Misano shaking, he hugged her. A warm blush came across her face. She was speechless for a minute before returning the hug.
'I... I think this is the first time I've genuinely felt happy. It feels nice...'
She then heard Skylar arguing with himself. Something about Skyler being jealous. Misano felt a grin enter her face as she wrote with her free hand.
"Seems like the tough guy act is just a front. I bet Skyler's a big softie~"
Misano made no effort to get away. She felt comfortable. She then saw a boy with blonde hair staring at Skylar. Grinning she wrote the boy a note.
"Hey, don't be a stranger~ Come on over!"

"Oh...Okay." he slightly blushed for an unknown reason and nodded. Not to shyly he turned to the green haired girl, Kellen? No her name ended in a y...Kelly? Yes Kelly. "I love Crossbows!" he said walking over to the other two. His face kind of opened wide and his eyes were turning a dull golden. "Hiya!" he said smiling not being able to stop taking glanced at the two souls in one person. He then bowed very clumsily and fell face first into the floor. He got back up and smiled. "Are you shy?" he asked the girl who at first gance he had thought was a guy...his face was in a forever smile.

"Thank you, Skylar... You too Skyler..." Skylar shacks his head as he looks toward her and speaks softly. "You don't have to thank us, its what he ware here for." He smiles as he heard her writing again. He looks at the paper and he grinned. Before he could reply, Skyler yelled switch. Skylar sighed as he then moved the eye patch back. He then backed up a little so his face was now in front of hers. HE was still hugging her though, "What did I tell you! Don't get the wrong idea got it! He sighs trying to play it off and still look cool. His ears perked up as he then heard foot steps walking his way. He then let go of the hug of Misano, but he kept one arm around her as he held her close still not realizing it as he then faced the boy walking up to him. It was the boy that was staring at him before. Skyler sighed wondering what this kid wanted.

The boy got up to them has he said "Hiya!" and then gave a smile, before he tried to bow and ended up falling on his face. Skyler looked toward Misano as he gave the face. 'Is this kid for real? or just messin?' He sighed as he looks back to the boy as he stood up straight and looked toward Misano now. He then asked her "Are you shy?" Skyler couldn't help but laugh. He then grinned as he looked at the boy. "Shy? haha thats really funny, this girl likes to talk big, Ill watch what you say around her." Skyler then looks toward Misano as he laughs as he sures in his way he was messing with her. He then looks toward the boy again. "Any way, mind telling me why you and i am gussing your partner was staring at me? You guys think its weird I am wearing a stray jacket or something? Skyler couldn't help it by the way he talk.It was just the way he is.

Misano could hear Skylar switch his eye patch. Skyler pushed the girl away enough to look her dead in the eye.
"What did I tell you? Don't get the wrong idea, got it?"
Misano was ready to write a comeback when the blonde boy she invited to come over came. His eyes were starting to turn gold and his face was a permanent smile. He tried to bow... but fell on his face. Misano was worried before she saw him get up and speak.
"Are you shy?"
Misano blinked.
'A world of first times are happening today...'
She heard Skyler laugh.
"Shy? Haha, that's really funny. This girl likes to talk big. I'll watch what you say around her."
Misano silently laughed.
"Yeah, I'm anything but shy. I'm just mute. It's fine by me though."
Misano then heard Skyler ask what he was doing staring at him. Misano blinked before thinking of a reason as well.
"Hang on, let me guess... You're interested in Skyler and Skylar because of their two souls. Did I get it?"

"You know, leaving your partner alone is rude. If you're gonna talk to someone else at least bring her with you to join in the conversation, hm?!"
Misano smiled a bit at that.
'So he's one of those considerate types, huh? I'm learning more and more about my partner every time I see him~'
Skylar then came out, apologizing for Skyler's blunt attitude.
"He gets possessive and protective."
Misano was a bit curious.
'What did Skyler have to get possessive about? I get the protective part because he was probably protecting Skylar but who was he possessive about...?'
Shrugging it off, Misano looked at the blonde.
"I never did introduce myself, did I? I'm Misano Amane; a Meister just like you. He's my partner Skylar. The first guy you talked to was Skyler. Nice to meet you~"
Misano smiled warmly.
"So, you enjoying yourself here in Death Weapon Meister Academy?"
She tilted her head curiously.
