Hester is tall and womanly, despite living her life on the ocean and around a bunch of swabbies. She has long flowing black hair that is unkempt and flyaway, she does have a few strands of hair braided with beads attached. Her eyes are as blue as the sea itself, well eye she wears an eye patch on the left eye, she lost the eye as a child when the ship she was on was attacked. There was a large explosion from a cannon shot that sent shrapnel flying into her left eye. Her way of dress is typical for a female pirate, and off the shoulder peasant blouse, with a black bustier that accentuates her figure. A split peasant skirt, white petticoat, and red striped pantaloons with with tall black boots that hit her at mid calf. She finishes her ensemble with a brown belt that has a large brass buckle, that holds her falchion.

Personality

Hester is a pirate through and through, she would sell her own mother to shang-high'rs if she thought it would make a profit. Not that she has that option her mother died giving birth to her. But she has a sweet loving side that she developed on the fishing ship her father was on. But she can also very flirty a trait that she picked up from her father and the dancing girl she lived with before she was on the ship with him. She loves adventure and the ocean and couldn't see herself doing anything else.

History

Her father Sean "lover boy" Dawkins was crew member on the Sea hawk at Hester's age, he was well known to have a girl in every port which gave him the nick name lover boy. He stayed on the crew until he found out that one of the girls that he had a relationship with was pregnant. He decided to settle down and get married but that didn't last long when the Julia gave birth to Hester she didn't survive. Not knowing what to do with a newborn child but not wanting to abandon his only child, Sean decided to join a crew of fisherman. His only option at this point was to have someone care fore Hester until she was old enough to join him on the ship. So he left Hester with an old fling named Maggie Carlisle, Maggie was kind but she was a pub girl and could only care for Hester when she wasn't "working". Needless to say Hester was left to her own devices till she was about five. It was then her father became worried about his daughters well being while living with Maggie and decided she was old enough to be on the ship. With much coercing to his current captain she was aloud to board the ship as long as the little girl was willing to work at something. Having learned hard work at a young age Hester did well on the ship and became like a grand daughter to the captain of the fisherman's ship. When she was seven years old disaster struck and the ship that her and her father were on was attacked and this caused not only her left eye but her father and the crew of men that had become her family being the only survivor. That was when she started seeking out pirate ships. She was snatched up by many pirate captains because of her experience on a ship many boys her age were turned down for her because she could handle herself on a boat. So was the beginning of Hester's life as a pirate.

When Hester heard that the captain of the Sea Hawk was looking for crewman she jumped at the chance to join. Hearing stories of her father adventures on the ship had fueled her ambition to became a great pirate despite the fact that she was a woman. So she went to captain Finn hoping her connection through her father would get her a spot on the ship.
