Description
Champions were the original denizens of Tollevangyre by the mysterious powers whose identity has become lost with time. Immense creatures of power and emotion, they roamed the new land and pushed back the powers of entropy and rot. Champions had varied forms, the Everqueen is a city sized oak tree whose branches soared high into the clouds, while not capable of movement she was deeply wise and good. Arca was the beastqueen, the stalker in shadows, and a enormous wolflike predator that stalked the wild places. The Slither Lord was a snake that stretched for near a mile and never saw the sun choosing to dwell in the depths beneath the world.
In time, the Champions felt the stirring to spread life and each created a race in their own image or a mixture of images mirroring the early humans who travelled the land. It took considerable power and vitality to create a race and the creation of the races was many times the last act of a Champion before it faded from the land. Champions who survived the process used their races to carve out their part of Tollevangyre, creating homelands that were fiercely protected. In time, the ancient powers of entropy and rot rose again causing the war of the Champions. As a result, very few of the Champions and their races survive on into the present.
