Predator Reserve

Peter looked around at the carnage. He then looked at Venom. "We need a temporary truce so we can beat these things, then you can kill me." Peter said the last part as a little incentive.

Bruce put his thumb and the knuckle of his fore finger to his chin as his brilliant mind began to devise a strategy for beating these shadowy antagonists. With the limited information about these Predators at his disposal the Dark Knight would need to study them, observe them. Batman's eyes flicked to the people around him. At the moment one of his few exploitable resources. This all but invincible Iron Man, the amazing talents of Spiderman, the viciousness of Venom.

"We'll need to lure them in. Force them to make a move...If they want to hunt us we need to give them a clear trail and defined targets. Keeping together as a group is safer but will deter them from attacking. We need to be alone, vulnerable."

Batman's mind filed through the small amount of intel he already had on them. Looking through his three brief encounters with them in Gotham.

"They're too intelligent to fall for cheap ploys. We'll need to actually separate. Go off on our own. Meet back here two hours after sundown. This is a recon mission only. Don't engage unless you have no other choice. We have to see how the operate."

The Caped Crusaders plan was beginning to take shape. He only needed to be patient know and allow the events to unfold.

Venom growled at Spiderman, but after a moment, nodded his head in acception. "We hold no delusions of you allowing me the chance to kill you, Spiderman. But we have held a truce before, and most likely we will do it in the future. As much as it pains me, we will do it now." Thinking on what the bat like man said, Venom responded, "We see wisdom in your plan, Black One, but if something should happen to one of us, how do the others know?"

Peter smiled under hiss mask when venom agreed to his truce, he didn't want aliens and a result of a symbiotic relationship after him to. Peter looked back to batman. "We should go in groups of two just in case. Close enough the hear each other but not be seen together." Peter thought aloud. he didn't want to be with Venom though who would try to kill him if he got a chance.

"Take these."

Batman said as he handed Venom and Spiderman comm links they could insert in their ears.

"They're already synched to the frequency in my cowl."

He paused and turned to Iron Man.

"You can just patch in with your suit. Here's the frequency."

He said as he tapped a few quick commands on his gauntlet allowing him to broadcast the frequency of his comm channel to Tony. Spiderman's fears did not go unheeded by Bruce. The idea of pairing up was safer but it would still act as a deterrent.

"If you feel the need to pair up then be my guest just take care not to stay too close to one another. You'll need to at least appear alone."

Batman turned and started walking towards the tree line. He reached to his belt and pulled his grappling hook out before firing it at the nearest tree.

"I work better on my own."

Batman said before taking off into the tree line and dissapearing in the forest.

"You can just patch in with your suit. Here's the frequency."

Without delay, Tony entered the frequency into his suit. It was good they'd have a way to communicate, lest they just die and not relay that. Tony wasn't going to bother pairing up, and Batman seemed to like being alone regardless. So, he watched as Batman disappeared into the forest, marking his turn to leave.

"I'll be heading west, I suppose. You two make sure not to get into any lover's quarrels while we're gone." he joked before turning and beginning his walk. He'd have to be careful not to let anything slip his guard otherwise he wouldn't be the 'invincible' Iron Man.

Once he began approaching the treeline, he thought a bit of soft music would help. "JARVIS, put on something calming." he spoke, and the suit complied, emitting a slower chorus of music. It wasn't loud at all, in fact his footsteps were louder, but he figured something had to keep him occupied. And so, the hero entered the forest, disappearing from the sight of the others. And the others from him.

Venom caught the comm piece, but instead of placing it to his ear, the symbiote pulled it into his skin. "We will listen." He said as the Symbiote cloaked him. "But we too wish to be by ourselves." He leaped up into a tree, and started swinging away.

It had been only a few hours since the group split up and went their separate ways in the hopes to lure the predators in. Bruce hoped the others would heed his warnings to only study the Predators for now. Flying in half cocked not knowing anything about these creatures would serve only to get someone killed. The sun was beginning to set, casting the forest in an eerie orange glow as dusk approached. The twilight hour gave everything a very ethereal feel. Batman turned prepared to begin his trek back to the ship when he stopped cold. He could almost feel the eyes upon him. Unseen in the wilderness. Batman's breathing slowed as he concentrated on locating the hidden observer. His keen eyes scanned his surroundings and came to rest on a small patch of brush. It caught Bruce's eyes but only just. His analytically and superbly detail oriented mind caught the slight discoloration as odd against the perfect backdrop of jungle flora around it. The very air around that spot seem distorted as if looking through a glass bottle. Batman switched to detective mode and the Predator was revealed. That's when the hunter attacked.

Peter sighed as everyone split up. The only thing he remembered of them is that they had the ability to become invisible which meant going it alone was very bold. Peter shot his webbing into a tree, as he did so he jumped, he used the momentum to swing and with that he jumped onto a tree limb. "I'll set up shop." Peter said to himself.

A couple hours later peter took a step back and took a look at his work. it looked like a pile of dead leaves but inside it was really a home. Peter walked inside and looked around at the fruit of his labour. There was a pit in the middle of the large room for a fire, there was four hammocks against the tree's trunk which was also the back wall of the hut that Peter had made. peter had also made a set of a table chairs with bark and sticks, and of course some of his webs.

peter walked out of the secret home and his Spidey senses went off. Peter jumped to the side just in time to have a spear hurtle past him. "What the fuck!" Peter said, he looked around and saw it, there was a disturbance in the air, it wasn't steam but it was like water in the air, bending the light in different directions. "They abducted the wrong guy." Peter said preparing for a fight.
