Physical Description: His most prominent feature being his hunched back and scarred face. His face was virtually destroyed, leaving only a scarred and burned mess of what once was a human being. His hunchback arose from a spinal fracture and a lack of medical treatment thereafter. As a result of his back he must lean over, making him shorter than most people. Although not readily apparent, he also possesses a small limp, and although it proves no impediment to his mobility, it still makes him fundamentally different from the other "normal" people of the world. Despite these deformities, he has become accustomed to the misshapen body he is forced to inhabit and (although having limited dexterity and being unable to scratch his back) he is for the most part un-impeaded by his injuries so long as no activity takes more than an hour. Due to his deformities, Erik prefers to wrap his body with many belts and ropes to give himself the barest semblance of normality, as well as an old opera mask to hide the worst of his facial deformities.

Personality

Erik has become a tortured loner. Although he desperately seeks companionship, he has also succumb to an acute state of paranoia. He is immediately distrustful of any human he meets, believing they all view him as hideous and disgusting and desiring to kill him to rid the world of his "cursed being". Despite his unnatural anxiety of humans, he is comforted to no end by animals and other small creatures who do not fear him. Whenever he is alone in the harsh wilderness, he tends to attract living creatures via his singing.

Level 0= A violin, quite possibly the last intact violin in existance.

Level 1=Despite his grotesque apearence, he has a singing voice beyond any peer, able to reach pitches and volumes of such beauty as to be magical. Virtually anyone or thing who is attracted to music or the arts finds temselves drawn to his voice, but this is merely based on asthetic attraction. There is nothing magical about his voice, it is only hauntingly beautiful.

History

Although he cannot remmember the reason, at some point in his distant past he was beaten and tortured. As a result of these tortures, he has become both physically and mentally misshapen. Because of his shape, he has been called a monster by the less sensitive members of those small communities. Because of a lack of security in the world and Erik's vagabond lifestyle, a rumor has spread of a hunchbacked monster who brings misfortune and pain to any settlement unlucky enough to meet him. And so he has continued to wander the ruins of the world, scavenging food from whatever source he can, and never sleeping in the same place twice.
