Description

Icarus Kiernan a outgoing 16 year-old who appears a bit older, was always tall but thin for his age at 6'1 ft and 120 lbs. His brown
hair never seems to lay down so he rarely does much besides wet it down and run his finger through it as he head's out of the door. His eyes are sky blue that seem to wander up more then down most of the time. After being sent to Advent city Icarus took up Kendo to get his mind off the past and hone his mind to learn to control his power better, thus is rarely seen with out his Bokken. Icarus wears an aviator scarf that generally covers up his father's goggles he keeps around his neck. His black military was a gift from his grandfather. Under his jacket he generally wear a blue shirt and jeans.

Personality

Icarus grew up an only child and home-schooled by his grandfather, thus his interactions with others was limited so he often reacts strangely to an accepted norm or finds others strange for their actions. He was often left to prepare food himself which added to odd cravings and no cooking experience produced random meals that few would enjoy besides himself.
By training of his grandfather, Icarus took up various swordsmanship styles and gained a strong sense of honor and loyalty to friends and family. He also is obsessively curious about things he doesn't understand or has never come across before, often unknowingly asking rude questions to better understand things.

Equipment

Solarstep: Icarus has the ability to gather a blue light around his feet and create small hexagon panels which allow him walk in midair as if walking up stairs. The panels appear like stepping stones for him to walk on, but his feet become one with the light to the point he can walk upside down without falling. The panels disappear the second his feet move to a new spot, leaving only a blur of light if he were to run. He can also use his power to run vertically up walls or hang on the ceiling.


Bokken: (wooden katana used for Kendo practice) He keeps it in a blue fabric slip cover and slung over his shoulder most of the time.

Aviator Goggles: Belonged to his father, Icarus keeps them around his neck for when the wind is too much or when he is too high from the ground.

History

After the death of his father, Icarus moved from living in France with his mother, at age 13, to Ireland to stay with his grandfather, a retired biplane fighter. His grandfather had planned to raise him to be a great soldier, but all Icarus wanted was to fly. After training 2 years with his grandfather, Icarus was done with the military and broke into the hanger with his grandfather old biplane. With little knowledge of planes, he somehow got it in the air for a few minutes before a nose-dive into a field. The new reported that the eject lever for the pilots seat had jammed but Icarus had jumped and landed 30 feet away unharmed. A few investigations later it was determined that Icarus was an "Advent" and was promptly sent to Advent city.

Icarus now 16 lives in sector 2 thanks to a sponsor from "Stone-soul" shoes, it's not much but it gets him feed, a dorm room and plenty of boots (his power wears shoes out quickly). The only reason "Stone-soul" sponsored Icarus was the news had made a big point about the odd state of his shoes when he was first found. Icarus is ranked 246 but his sponsor is pushing him to rank-up with a offer of a better living state and spare funds.
