PERSONALITY:
(Who are you, and why should we care right? This part should be at least two paragraphs long. What are your character's motivations? What inspires and frightens them, how do they act around friends and family? What are the flaws in their character? This should be the longest/thorough part of the sheet)

Highly intelligent, calculating, manipulative, and unpredictable tend to be words most commonly used to describe Wesley’s personality, and he is in fact, all those things. He is also, insanely protective and possessive of those he considers his, whether in a romantic, family, or friendship kind of role. His own code of morality tends to be a bit skewed from the norm, but he generally keeps to his code. Wes can be an antagonizing dick at times with people, but he doesn’t go out of his way to do any real lasting harm, unless you mess with him or his, then Zeus save you from his wrath. If you wind up on Wesley’s shit list be prepared for merciless physical and psychological warfare. With teachers, his antics are much more subtle, and he is unfailingly polite and generally charming in their presence. Wes is good at picking his battles.

Wes tends to be wrapped up in his own head more often than not, keeping his attention and concern on himself and those in his circle. Wesley is also a consummate womanizer, generally picking women to pursue who he feels are challenges or puzzles to be solved. Skilled at seduction, but also a consummate control freak, Wes can get very intense and even manipulative when perusing relationships, whether he covets romance or friendship. Generally, his personality tends to be situational. Wesley is capable of insanely vicious acts towards others when he think’s they’ve warranted his wrath, and in the same stroke he is capable of great compassion and generosity towards those he cares about. Mostly, it depends on who you are to Wesley for which face you’ll see.

FEARS:
☠(At least 3, I'd like it if you described why your character fears something, but it is not required)

*Being Alone: Wesley will never really admit to being afraid of anything, though ironically, being alone is something he had always subconsciously feared. Perhaps this is because he felt so isolated from others as a child due to the nature of the Tate Family status in New York society. This does not mean that he constantly feels a need for companionship exactly, but lack of recognition or attention when he wants it makes him irritable, and he is willing to go to some pretty extreme lengths to get it.

*Large Bodies of Water: Not afraid exactly, but he’s not a strong swimmer and he knows this, so being in water that is bigger than a swimming pool makes him nervous.

*The Asphodel Meadows: Losing people he is attached to is something he also subconsciously fears, whether through them leaving or death as necromancy can only do so much. The dead are forever changed by Hades, always mere shadows of their living selves, a fate he privately finds disturbing.

FAMILY::

Vivienne Tate: // 39 // Mother
Alexi Kuzmich // 43 // Step-Father

RELATIONSHIP WITH GODLY PARENT:
(Some Deities revisit their children over the years, and some just seem to ignore of forget their very existences, here you can detail just how much of a relationship you have with your Godly parent.)

Wes is currently on fairly good terms with his father, as they have a kind of understanding that suits both their personalities. Hades is not a cold father, but a god's time is precious and cannot be spend on merely one mortal. Wesley is quite used to workaholic parents, and has come to find this scenario no different. Wesley does however, have an open invitation to the underworld where he is to seek out his father should he ever need council.

BIOGRAPHY:
Wesley Tate is the son of sole heiress and highly successful business woman Vivienne Tate, of the New York Tates. The Tate name in New York has been synonymous with Fashion and European imports for over a century, and they came from old English money even before that. Vivienne Tate however, a great-granddaughter of Athena herself, is known for her popular perfume line, and rumored mob connections. Wesley’s stepfather, Alexi Kuzmich, is rumored to be a boss within the complicated structure of the Russian mafia, though this is officially unproven. Either way, Wesley has found it more useful to neither confirm, nor deny the rumors. Alexi was not unkind towards Wesley growing up, as he was already three when he married Wesley’s mother, though he can be a bit distant sometimes. So with both of his parental figures constantly engaged with their own business, Wesley was mostly raised by his nanny Carla until he was twelve. Wesley was extremely attached to her, as she was almost like a mother in his mind, and was the first to instill in him his love of languages. She was also the one who taught him how to paint, and it is to this day a calming activity he engages in privately. Wesley first connected with his demi-god powers because of Carla too, because when she died, twelve year old Wesley couldn’t deal with it. New York experienced inexplicable earthquakes, and every light on the street seemed to go out at the same time, cloaking their entire block in dreary darkness.

Vivienne was smart enough to call in Hades at that point, and for the first time Wesley came face-to-face with his real father. He was nothing like the Hades character he’d seen in movies, and was somewhat surprised to find himself dealing with an incredibly mellow and patient man. Hades offered to take Wesley to the Underworld for a while, and Wesley agreed, if only because of the promise of seeing Carla again. While the initial meeting with Carla helped put him at peace with her passing, Wesley also learned some truths he was not fond of. In the Underworld, most mortals wound up in the Asphodel Meadows, and while peaceful, people’s souls also tend to fade, losing more and more of the distinctive memories that make them who they were. This process takes a while, but it was still unsettling to Wesley, his security net of never losing someone he loved being once again ripped away. From there he dabbled in Necromancy, though this proved to be an even more imperfect solution than visiting the underworld, as those he brought back were merely mindless empty shells with only vague echoes of their former personalities. After those failures, Wesley tried to focus a bit more on the living, seeking out his siblings and attempting to have a mostly normal school life, if high up on the social spectrum. He was often on the party scene, as Wesley knows how to have a good time when he’s willing to indulge, especially in women, though he is himself, a picky drinker. His decision to go to Aeonis Academy was in effect to be closer to his siblings, but also to challenge himself. Human life can be exceptionally boring, and after two years of high school he didn’t really think there was anything left for him to learn there. He is also hopeful about expanding the boundaries of his power, and though his relationship with Hades is good and filled with monthly visits to the underworld, Wesley knows his godly father is only able to help him learn so much, as Hades’ unusually close relationships with his children puts him under increased scrutiny by the other gods. He is, like many of his siblings, very protective of his misunderstood godly father, and few things can gain his ire more quickly than speaking ill of him.

FAVORITE POWER:
(What Power of yours is your favorite?)

Being able to endlessly supply himself with wealth is definitely a power Wesley enjoys, as the fear of poverty is one he will never need to know. Necromancy and Geokinesis are also powers he had spend hours obsessively honing, and has become quite skilled in.

Anything else you want to add? Face Claim, Pets, Quirks?

Right jab, left jab, uppercut, strike. A rhythmic pattern of thuds could be heard in the gym’s training room at Aeonis Academy, accompanied by the blast of Billy Squire in the background, steadily growing in both strength and intensity. Abby had been in the training room since 4 a.m., her relic of a boom box working its way through her cassette tape collection as she worked out, which always helped to get her pumped and center herself. Abby had been having nightmares again, and at some point she’d just learned it was better to give up on going back to bed, and to take back control with an intensive workout. She always did lifting first, part of the advantages of coming in early meant eliminating competition for the much sought after weight lifting equipment, and it was also the shortest part of her routine. Abby was strong for a girl, and being the daughter of Ares only helped in that department, but in a school full of demi-gods with enhanced strength, it wasn’t exactly something to brag about. She’s recognized pretty quickly that she was never going to outclass some of the boys regarding pure strength, so instead she focused on speed, and that was where she was really deadly. Being smaller and lither than her opponents had its advantages and she’d always been able to weave in and around her opponents in the boxing ring, dodging their blows while landing quick and precise ones of her own. So in addition to weights, she also did strict regiments of cardio and agility exercises to help keep the edge on her speed. This though, was her favorite part of the day. Alone with the punching bag, all her focus diverted there, the rest of the world melted away. Nothing else mattered but her fists and her imaginary adversary, and it was always a liberating feeling. Abby always felt lighter after boxing, and part of her was considering cutting orientation day entirely to stay and continue. She eventually dismissed this plan though, as the last thing she needed was to give Ms. McKinney another reason to get on her case.

After one last strike to the punching bag, Abby collected up her cassettes and headed to the locker room, where she deposited her stuff in the bottom of the locker before heading back to her room to shower and change for the day. Her room itself was pretty Spartan compared to some of the other students here, especially considering she was one of the students that lived at the academy year round. Most of her stuff was pretty obviously second hand and out of date, but it was her stuff, bought and chosen by herself alone, and she’d never apologize for it. Her last roommate had graduated the year before, which meant more than likely she was going to be getting a new one today. It was a prospect that didn’t exactly thrill her, but Abby had lived in close quarters that made this particular arrangement look insanely roomy, so it wasn’t something she was going to worry about either.
Once she’d finished slipping into a pair of jeans and a red flannel top over her black tank, Abby focused on her next priority, breakfast. Abby never missed a meal when she could help it, and some might even call her a glutton, but then Abby never really cared what other people called her. Besides, between her overactive metabolism and her rigorous workout regiments, she figured her body could handle the bacon cheeseburgers. So as Abby made her way toward the door, it was with the intention of heading to the cafeteria. That’s when the door suddenly unlocked, revealing the face of a girl who appeared both excited, nervous, and definitely new.

At times, crossword puzzles were lamentingly easy, and today was one of those days. The New York Times was usually very reliable in their quality of word puzzles, but Wesley supposed that even his city’s home paper had its off days. The Sudoku had at least proven to be a bit more challenging, but even that had only proven to last a measly ten minutes before the entire puzzle too was solved. Wesley had never been able to sleep for long periods of time, and though the young son of Hades had always been a bit of a night owl, he also tended to be up soon after the sun. Wesley did work out, but he wasn’t quite the fitness nut that some of the other men at the academy were, and he preferred to do his workouts at night regardless. In combat classes his physical strength couldn’t compare to that of the children of Zeus or Ares, though he could hold his own, so he preferred to refine his geokinesis for effective combat purposes. That wasn’t really where Wes shined though, as he’d always been more of a ‘behind-the-scenes’ kind of combatant. Psychological and covert warfare was his specialty, and he was a firm believer in working smarter, not harder.

Impeccably dressed as usual, Wesley left his dorm with his messenger bag over his shoulder and a cup of gourmet coffee in hand. Wes didn’t have the palate for cheap coffee, so he made a point of keeping his own machine in his room, that way he could brew what he wanted and how he liked it. Breakfast wasn’t really his thing, though the knowledge that a certain blonde with an endless pit for a stomach would undoubted be there tempted him to head toward the cafeteria. Abby was still angry with him, and though he seemed to have under estimated her ability to hold a grudge, he still found her stubbornness on the matter frustrating. Despite what she insisted, Wes had never lied to her, at least not explicitly. He’d merely presented half-truths in a purposely ambiguous light. It wasn’t his fault that she filled in the blanks incorrectly and felt compelled to open up to him in an attempt to ease his perceived pain. Wes honestly wasn’t used to such fervent rejection from women, especially women he was actively pursuing, and while he had found the challenge entertaining at first, he was beginning to become more annoyed by it than anything else. Persistent goading had become his currently strategy, and he’d almost decided to head that way when he thought better of it. Goading Abby while she was eating rarely yielded results, as he had experienced firsthand. Waiting for a more opportune moment in this instant might prove the wiser strategy he decided, and instead went to seek out some of his academy friends whom he hadn’t seen over the summer.
