Erion is a pretty average guy. Not tall, but not short. Not big, but not small. Leanly muscular. Not particularly imposing looking.

He is generally wearing a black or blue-gray hooded cloak, and carries two katanas which he keeps on a modified sword belt along the small of his back.

Personality

Quiet and intelligent. Erion isn't really much of a talker. He prefers to listen and assess the situation before speaking. He tends to seem a bit distant, but he really does care about people, he just isn't very good at expressing his feelings. He can be a bit sarcastic at times.
Erion believes in fairness above all else, that good should be rewarded, and evil should be punished. To see a good person bullied, taken advantage or, or mistreated in any way brings out his darker side. On the other side of that coin, he feels that evil people deserve whatever punishment comes their way.

History

Erion was born in Port Lathan, at the southern end of Neos. Though his mother was originally from Ioden, his father was a fisherman at the Port, and she moved there when they were married.

When his father died during a storm while out at sea,when he was six, his mother moved them back home. Originally a typical, energetic kid, after his father's death, his personality changed completely. He knew that things were hard on his mother, so he tried his best to help her out however he could, all the while never complaining about anything, even on the days when things were at their worst. Eventually, not complaining became not really talking at all, which led to him being labeled "the odd kid" by the other children, which in turn, led to him talking even less.

He became a bit more social at the age of fifteen, after a warrior from the East came through the town while on a pilgrimage. Erion caught him practicing his forms in the moonlight one night after helping his mother in the fields.

And... he was hooked.

After days of pestering the man, he agreed to stay in town just long enough to teach him basic swordsmanship, or "kendo" as the man called it. Even after the man left, he continued to train himself, adjusting what he had learned to fit smaller blades as well, eventually developing his own fighting style.

He joined the city guard at age 17 so that he could make money to care for his mother and has recently been promoted to Night Watch Captain.
