Deep in the heart of Europe nests a kingdom by the name of Alabaster. Small but powerful, hidden, yet fascinatingly beautiful. What started out as a small patch of land extended into a region coveted by some and visited by many. What is the secret to the nation's rapid and powerful blooming? Most used to think it was the Royal family's strong yet gentle hand, the queen's beauty, the prince and princess' charm and the king's eye for good business. But everything good must come to an end, and every merciless lie must sooner or later be discovered.

Black business is the true secret behind the kingdom's prominence. Many surrounding lands have long since discovered the king's dirty little secrets and have it out for his head. As a man of many tricks, said king does not plan on simply kneeling and accepting punishment. To ensure his kingdom's as well as his own protection, he utilizes something he holds near and dear to him. His children. The prince and princess of Alabastar are perfect piece offerings for a couple of the strong neighboring nations. Having his beloved children marry the son and daughter of these two powerful nations will not only secure their future, but it will give Alabastar the outside protection it needs.

Much to the king's dismay, and as the saying goes, not everything goes as planned. The well thought out and seemingly bulletproof strategy may soon fall to pieces the moment the prince and princess realize they've fallen in love, but with the wrong people. Inconceivable to the mighty king of Alabastar that love be more important than power, so what will he do when he comes to find that his children choose to follow their hearts rather than the rules? And what will become of the nation of beauty and its people when the protection it depended on suddenly vanishes?
