Gilly Camdale, from Altaea Saga: Song of the Ancients, a roleplay on RPG

Gilly is slightly more thickly set than other Halflings, and a tiny bit taller with light but ruddy skin, adding to her already health appearance of rosey cheeks and chubby features. A smile seems to almost always be painted across her face, her hazel eyes hinting at her adventurous hunger for the next interesting sight or event. This youthful exuberance is offset by a few wrinkles and tiny nicks on her otherwise unblemished face. Whilst it is difficult to pinpoint an exact age from this combination, it is clear that she has most likely been around a fair bit.

She carelessly strolls wherever her wandering feet wish to take her, occasionally fiddling with the strap of cloth that is tied around her head, keeping her mess of curly mousey brown hair from falling around her face. Despite her stride having an almost happy-drunk swagger to it, she moves rather nimbly, dexterously weaving out of the way of the unwary tall-folk who seem to take no notice of someone so small.

Like her kin, she favors comfortable clothing, preferably finely made. Consisting of a hodgepodge of different materials, from many different locales and ranging a whole host of different colors. They have had numerous repairs by amateur hands compared to the original quality of the work. Flamboyant, to say the least. Thankfully they are covered for the most part by the straightforward browns of her leather tunic, greaves, boots and bracers.

Personality

Gilly is difficult to sum up, even for herself to do so. Happy go lucky would be the best way to describe her, mixed with a tinge of mischievousness. Always the first to laugh, the first to drink and the first to make light of a situation, her courage keeps her seeing the best of things, no matter how dire the situation may be. Whilst almost all Halflings have this stout heart and soul, being naturally predisposed to adventure and travel in a world that is far bigger than them physically, Gillys willpower is beyond that of the norm.

Whilst she does not have a 'serious side' as such, she can have a dogged persistence at times, often having something that takes her interest cause all other responsibilities to be dwarfed immediately as she loses herself in a world of her own. The main reason for this is anything ancient or magical, something she feels inherently drawn to investigate as predisposition of being a natural. She has often found herself getting into trouble over such things.

Due to her strong affinity to magic, being a Natural is one of the only topics she will get bitter about, feeling that it has been more of a curse than a gift. In most cases she will outright refuse to discuss the matter, feeling that the 30 years of her life that she gave to snooty wizards and their ilk has been plenty. She shows great reluctance to demonstrate any sort of magical ability in a public place or in private when in the company of certain religious or magicians sects due to this, and is almost equally as distrustful of mercenaries and other hired muscle, having been constantly on the lookout after escaping the clutches of those who wished to test her further.

All of that aside, she prefers to look at the positive side of things as much as possible, because just like her uncle used to say: "Happiness keeps the heart beating".

Equipment

A travelers sack is slung over her shoulder, the typical adventuring items are inside, pots, pans, cups, bedroll, food supplys and other such things. Nicknacks, gems and trinkets fill her pockets and adorn her clothes, almost none of the items originally belonging to her, typical Halfling sticky fingers. A dagger is also kept tucked inside her boot.

The main item of note is the lock picks and trap probes that are kept inside her tunic, raveled in a leather tool belt and hidden out of sight. An old profession she picked up from her time with her uncle, she knows her way around just about any domestic lock, and given time can even get a hang of more exotic ones, with magical assistance. The trap probes too have seen a lot of wear, mainly from exploring old ruins. Thankfully she hasn't encountered anything dangerous enough to pose a threat to her life yet.

History

When asked about her past, Gilly gives an anecdote varying on the company she keeps. Some of them ridiculous, some of them worrying.
