Description

Image
Name:
Farah Lila Aryanpur I

Age:
19

Race:
Half Al Mayin

Nationality:
Princess of the Sarife Empire

Allegiance:
In her heart of hearts, she is aligned to her people. But her mouth must say different, it must say that she is aligned to the Empire

Personality:
Even if only a Princess, Farah shows the behavior and exibits the temperment of a Queen. Calm and gentle to the point of otherworldliness, and softspoken but strong in her words. She never opens her mouth for idle talk, and is not one even talk much when she is saying something of importance. She is instead more adept at letting one know how she is doing or how she feels by body language or a facial expression. Some of the people believe that thier Princess can not speak, as she never does in public, that she is too frail and sick. This does her a favor by allowing her to hide more, but it would be nice to be able to tell her people, whom she loves dearly, of the goings ons, rather than having an announcer do it in her stead.

But even though her appearance must be hidden from the public eye, and she is perhaps the most silent person in Sarife save for those without tongues, her presense is a strong one. The Princess of Sarife is a wise young woman, and Bahramesh, the Prince, can often be seen confiding his thoughts to her or asking her advice. She must be careful though, because she feels that her words must not be influenced by her curse, the sight. One would think that this would be a blessing, that the visions that haunt her night dreams and day dreams would aid Sarife greatly. But her visions are often ambiguous, and can be easily misread. Not only that, but to attempt to influence fate by interfearing is an arrogant notion that has lead others into a dark corner. So she keeps what she sees to herself.

For those few who have met the young miss, they find her a pleasant and warming individual who has a calming effect on oneself. A good listener who is regal and humble at the time, and of course always willing to offer you a smile. In short, a kind individual.

Appearance:
Unfortunately, Farah is half Al Mayin. Her brother was blessed with pupils, and may pass himself as a Human, she can not. Her pupiless eyes are emerald pools meant for you to lose yourself in, and most humans would see that as enough reason to distrust her, and as a public icon, she can not afford that. Her skin is as pale and soft as porcelain, and her frame is very thin and slender, though she does stand a head taller than most women her looks still do a lot to aid her cover story for always staying veiled or cloaked and behind curtains in a coach.

Her waving hair is a pale blonde that reaches down to her thighs, and is only kept up during hot weather or for a special occasion. The rest of the time priceless beads or a flower can be seen in it. Her manner of dress is consevative compared to most, though the fabric worn is not usually heavy. Her veil's are often a light colour to make her appear a haze, or sometimes an entirely concealing cloak hides her appearance.

Biography:
Farah grew up motherless, she does not know what happened to her mother exactly, she knows that she died shortly after her birth, but that the reason is mysterious. She is positive that Bahramesh knows how she died, but he refuses to speak of it, and a ruthless light flashes in his eyes whenever he stops her from asking him about it. She has been veiled from the public for as long as she can remember, and has seen much of the world through a window. So instead of politics, speeches, and courting. Her time is iddly spent reading and doing leasurely activities that now echo hollow achievment for her. She wants to do more.

Notable skills/abilities:
Posseses the Sight and powers she herself can not explain-
Is god with animals, especially birds-
Extensively well learned in literature and and politics, though has never directly participated in politics-
Is an accomplished Painter-
Plays a mean game of Forlorn (a game similar to chess)-
Her tea is boast-worthy-

Goals:
To better the living conditions of her people, and get that children's orphenage approved and built. This is proving more difficult than one would think. Her father seldom listens to what she says, and she can not take matters into her own hands for fear of expossing her secret lineage. She is instead kept as a doll on a pedestule only to be looked at, no use at all. A pathetic existance in her opinion.

Fears:
Intimidation of someone stronger than her would probably make her fearful. She is not physically strong after all. She also fears her visions.

Likes:
She adores her people and of course her brother, who has always been her companion. She loves her home and the artistic way it shines, she has a soft spot for art in general. She also enjoys the company of exotic pets and of the horses, whom she unfortunately can not ride. Farah is the sort that could be persuaded to like just about anything, and so her likes number to many, but one person she both likes and dislikes causes her hours of thought from time to time. Lucius, one she calls their 'guest' rather than prisoner. At first she avoided him, for she could feel his darkness clearly, but he was of course captured and so it made complete sense. But her brother persuaded her to meet him, and he is very likeable, he has even caused her to laugh at his insistance that he can beat her at a game of Forlorn. Though she has grown fond of him.

dislikes:
She dislikes cruelty and unfairness, injustice and malice, they are ugly things that are best done away with. She also avoids those who judge things too easily, not that she is around many in the first place. She also dislikes her prison-like existance, she feels useless. And as mentioned, Lucius unnerves her, but she can not bring herself to dislike him per say. Fools also do her temper an injustice.
