Appearance: Astra is average height and weightā¦ Sheās also average build. Thereās nothing extravagant about her body type in the least. The main stunning attribute to her appearance are her bright, green eyes and her hair which fades from electric blue to deep sea blue. Her skin is fairly pale and she has long eyelashes. All in all, Astra is very beautiful. To some people, she might have to lose weight in order to be beautiful, because they like skinny people and she is just average. However, to people who like healthy weight, she is very stunning. Her typical numb mixed with sad expression greatly brings down the sparkle in her appearance, because most people love it when people smile and it makes people think more highly of their appearance.
Preferred Clothing: Anything with a lot of metal in itā¦ She like armor, fancy clothes (because she can wear a lot of jewelry with it) and the gypsy type clothes with all the little metal disks on it. Whether it is conservative or showy, she really doesnāt care as long as metal is included somewhere in her outfit. Astra doesnāt exactly like casual clothes, because thereās not a lot you can add in the means of metal. She likes either super bright colors or super dark colorsā¦ Like apple green, electric blue, jet black and midnight blue. She especially loves outfits with high-contrast color schemes.

Personality: Typically, Astra is very numb or very sad. She forces herself into a numb state, because she does not want to fee anymore pain. She has felt more pain in her 17 years than most people feel in their entire life. The only person who ever loved her was tortured and murdered right in front of her very eyes. Astra has never been loved or cherished since and feels no love toward others. However, she does not try to hurt people. In fact, she refuses to attack anyone at all, but she will defend them from others. All in all, Astra just maintains her distance from all people in general.
Oddly enough, Astra has a theory that if she were ever to gain what people called a friend; she wouldnāt have to flush herself of all emotions. The girl knows she will be emotionally unstable for a short time, but slowly and surely, she would become normal. Unfortunately no one could ever love her enough to deal with her pain and so, there is absolutely no reason to try to befriend people.
Something Astra enjoys more than anything in the world is reading. When she reads books, she relates to the characters within the books and sometimes she even lets down her numb barrier and feels things for the characters within the stories. She feels that if she cannot have relationships with real people, at least she can have feelings about book characters.
Very typically, Astra lurks in shadows. And for some people, the might be camouflaged, but with this girlās electric blue hair, she tends to stand out against the darkness. When bored, Astra plays with electric butterflies that she taught herself how to make. They are her favorite of the electric creatures she taught herself to make.
The past is a ghost. No matter how she tries to forget it, the events of the past always come to haunt her. During the day, she never thinks of the history of her life. She only thinks of the future and current events, and very effectively. However, every night she is haunted by nightmares which bring all that she wants to leave behind her right to her door. For about an hour after each dream, she feels immense pain, guilt and sorrow. After that time, she is capable of fully ridding her emotions once again.
Sometimes little things will force Astraās emotions to run wild. Such as if something reminds her of her mother. Since she doesnāt exactly get angry, she doesnāt go on a rage and try and kill people. All she feels when her emotions are unlocked is immense sorrow and pain. It wouldnāt be unlikely that she would just sit in a ball screaming and crying.
If Astra ever were to gain a friend, It wouldnāt be impossible for her to start feeling happiness or anger again. It is also possible that she would begin to love as well.
Oddities: Astra is pretty much a lover and very anti-social. It is almost rare to hear her talk. She uses her actions to speak more than actual words. Even though she doesnāt like people, she canāt stand to see people in pain or to be in pain, but she doesnāt like people either. Also, she has a habit of forming electric butterflies to play with when she is bored.

Skills: Astra is a prodigy among knights. She was taken in and trained at a very young age to become a knight because of her amazing abilities. Even now, she wields some of the most powerful abilities and can control them better than many of her higher-ups. However, she is not social and doesnāt deal with people very well at all. She does anything she can to avoid social situations and this causes her to remain in the position she has.
Weapon: Astra doesnāt wield any weapons. She simply uses her lightning abilities to defend herself and others.
Fighting Style: Defense is Astraās forte. She only uses magic when in battle, because she hates weapons and she hates seeing people in pain. In fact, it terrifies her. As a result, Astra merely renders her enemies useless for a time by stunning them. That way, they cannot attack her.
Abilities: Astra controls lightning. Her powers are almost purely used for defense though. She uses her electric animals, most often butterflies, to swarm around her or go wherever they are needed to protect. When they come in contact with the enemy, the enemy is jolted back a little and numbed. Astra does not take offensive positions, because even though she doesnāt like people, she doesnāt want to see anyone hurt ever again. Astra is in full control of her power. Astra is currently experimenting with figuring out what else she can do with her powers. The main thing she does is tries to make various animals with her electricity. The more she makes the electric animals, the better formed they are and the longer she can keep them. The larger the animal, the shorter she can wield it.
Personal History: Before Astra was even born, her faerie mother eloped with a light elf man her parents considered unworthy of marrying into the family. Interracial marriages were forbidden. When she became pregnant, her husband left her, not wanting to deal with the burden of a child. Alone with her unborn child, she searched for a way she and her daughter could survive without her husband. At the time, there happened to be a traveling troupe of gypsies nearby. They welcomed her with open arms. Astra was raised with them and was very happy.
From a very young age, Astra learned to fly. Her mother had always told her that wings reflected hearts and that her wings were like her heart. The wings that sprouted from her back were giant. They glowed like lighting which lights the stormy skyā¦ They were huge and bright. The wings took the shape of lightning bolts mixed with butterfly wings.
However, her father found themā¦ And he was very angry. Astra could see the fear in her motherās eyes. In fear and anger for whatever that man was going to do, Astra learned of her powers for the very first time. After sending a bolt of lightning at her father which knocked him out, her mother grabbed her and ran. She ran until they reached her tent at the gypsy camp. Astraās mother was frightened for her little girlās life and hid her inside a chest. The petrified mother asked her daughter never to forget her, but also to hide in the chest until it was safe to come out. At the moment her mother shut the chest, her father came storming in. Her mother tried to fight him, but he over powered her. Astra wanted so much to leave the chest... To burst out and help her mother overcome her fatherā¦ But she was completely frozen in fear. No matter how much she screamed at herself, she could not move. She watched in horror as her father destroyed the only one who loved her in the world.
After about 12 hours, Astraās father left. However, none of the gypsies had returned for another two daysā¦ So Astra stayed, petrified inside her little box. Tears trickled down her face as she numbly looked at her motherās corpseā¦ When was she going to get up and let her daughter out of the chest? Astra waitedā¦ and waited. She didnāt dare get any close to her motherā¦ She was afraid of what she would see and the smell was becoming too much to bearā¦
When the gypsies returned, the one who was closest to her mom came in the tent to check on herā¦ She screamed in shock and horror at the sightā¦ She leaned down to look at Astraās mother, before screaming once again, collapsing to her knees and weeping. The others came in the tent at that point too and one of them could hear Astraās almost silent tears. He walked over and opened her little box to find her. He took her out and later that night, the gypsies tried to determine what to do with the girl. None of them really liked her muchā¦ Astraās motherās friend didnāt even care about her that much anymore. She had been screaming at herā¦ Calling her the devilās childā¦ Blaming her for what her father had done to her mother.
The gypsies looked around until they found an orphanage that would take her in until someone wanted to adopt her. At the orphanage, she was forced to clean all day with very little food to eat. If she didnāt clean, the people in charge would beat her and if she did, they ignored her completely. The other orphans all looked out for themselves. It wasnāt uncommon for the others to tattle on each other and her. For if they told about what bad things the others did, the bad one would be beaten and the one who told would be rewarded with an extra meal or a toy.
One day, one of the orphans caught Astra playing outside with her electric butterflies. Astra had been doing this for a while, but it was the first time she had been caught. Fear quaked all over her. She felt as though the world were at an end. If her peer told on her, they would probably beat her to death! She watched as her peer raced insideā¦ She cried, kneeling in the dirt. Through her tears, she could make out one of the people who worked there marching over with a stickā¦ Horror swept over Astra. She ran. Her tiny little legs wouldnāt blast off thoughā¦ She looked over her shoulder to see the staff member walking faster than Astra could run. In terror, Astra screamed. Was there nothing she could do? There wasnāt. The woman caught up to her and screamed at her, calling her an evil witch. Thrashing a sick down upon herā¦ Making her bleed as her mom did when her dad had tortured herā¦ Making her feel the pain that her mom felt and other orphans feltā¦ Astra screamed and criedā¦ But suddenlyā¦ The beating stopped. Astra looked up to see a knight standing in front of her. He had the ladyās wrist in his clenched hand. He had stopped the beating and saved Astra.
The knight heard the woman screaming about her magic and wanted to see it. Astra looked at the woman, who urged her to go aheadā¦ She Astra showed him her magicā¦ And the knight decided to adopt her and train her to be a knight too. Eager to fallow her savior, Astra fallowed him. Her heart was full of hope and wonder. Who was her new father? He was much better than her first oneā¦ Would she have a mother too? Astra didnāt know.
When she got to her new home, she soon found that she would have no mother. However, her father was loving enough. He fed her everyday and he never beat herā¦ Eventually he sent her off to knight school to become just like him. Her heart felt warm and happy. She would do anything to be as kind as her father.
At knight school, she found out that her father was one of the best knights of all timeā¦ He had done so many great things to save many lives, so many noblesā¦ Astra was becoming just like him! Her main struggle was hurting peopleā¦ She just couldnāt do itā¦ Even to do her duty as a knightā¦ Eventually, they let it go and accepted that she could stun people long enough for them to be imprisoned or for someone else to take care of itā¦ What they didnāt barging for was that she wouldnāt let anyone hurt anyone else. Every day, she was scolded by her father for not being good enoughā¦ He watched her constantly, making sure she was doing well as a chevalier in trainingā¦ Even though she was a prodigy, she wasnāt good enough for him.
After Astra was finished with her schooling, she was sent to work for her first nobleā¦ She was very excited to finally become just like her father! However, when on the jobā¦ She found out how truly ruthless her father was and how awful the people she was to protect were.. Her father only wanted things with worthā¦ He often would raid or abuse the commonersā¦ When Astra confronted him about it, even he tried to beat her. He tried to teach her that it was part of being a knight. Astra was taught being a knight was about protectingā¦ Not hurting. He was just as cruel as the people at the orphanage, but he didnāt abuse Astra because she had worthā¦ She was predicted to be a legend, just as he. It made her sickā¦ But she decided to ignore it and just do her jobā¦ She just wouldnāt associate herself with that cold, horrible man anymore. At this moment in her life, she flushed herself of all emotions. She lost all hope of finding someone who would care about her and be kind to her. Without her emotions, she could focus on other thingsā¦ She could focus on work and survival.
After shutting herself off from the world, Astra lost her wingsā¦ Her wings that reflected her heart were stolen along with her emotions by all the horrible things that had happened to her. If she ever began to open up again, she would regain her wings.
The nobles were as awful as any other people she had known. The noble family she was meant to protect had a young, womanizing man thereā¦ It wasnāt unusual for him to try and do things to Astraā¦ To speak of things she had never heard from anyone else before. It made her sick. She couldnāt stand to be around him or any of the other ruthless and unkind people in his family. They were all a disgrace!
However, there had to be someone out there like Astra before she let herself slip into the void of emptinessā¦ Someone kind and caring who had love for others and a need for protection. It wouldnāt be long before Astra would quit working for nobles and work to protect whoever she felt needed it as opposed to those who she felt didnāt deserve it. After all, they would replace her soon anyway. It didnāt matter if she left. The problem was the knights didnāt want her to leave because of her talent. Therefore, it would take some time for her to leave knighthood. She would be gone before too long though.
