β€’ Full Name
Arizona Elin Rollings

β€’ Nickname(s)
Ari

β€’ Date of Birth
June 3rd

β€’ Age
17

β€’ Zodiac Sign
Gemini

β€’ Nationality
American

β€’ Ethnicity
Her parents both come from a mix of European ethnicities, including English, German, Irish, French and Swedish blood.

β€’ Sexual Orientation
Bisexual

β€’ Sexual History
She has never gotten farther then "second base". She definitely is nervous to go all the way, but also has never been in a situation where anyone was pushing her towards that, so until she's put into an experience like that, it's hard to say whether she would absolutely say no to sex or not at this point. One thing she is sure of, though, is that she's definitely more comfortable, sexually, with other females.

β€’ Relationship History
She was in a short relationship as a sophomore, and is currently single. She isn't desperate for a relationship, and doesn't want one just for superficial reasons, but she also wouldn't be against being in a serious relationship with someone.

Image
Appearance

β€’Height
5'8

β€’Weight
125 lbs

β€’ Eyes
Brown, she does not need or wear glasses or contacts

β€’Hair
It's a golden brown color, that grows lighter, with a strawberry tint to it, when it gets a lot of sun.

β€’ Fashion Sense
Her fashion choices generally include designer labels, and clothes that are acceptable and typical of the upperclass. She doesn't like anything too flashy or showy, but she's certainly not against wearing tight dresses or crop tops when she's at an event where those outfits are appropriate. If there's anything noteworthy about her fashion choices, it's that she still has retained a little bit of her roots, in not being very "preppy", but preferring either preferring more casual or edgy clothes.

β€’ Overall Attractiveness
Ari is often told that she looks like a mixture of Emma Watson and Holland Roden, and given that she finds both of those girls to be very pretty, she definitely takes that comparison as a compliment. She has a bit of a girl next door look to her, where she doesn't have a huge chest, or a tiny waist, or some special feature that really makes her stand out, but she definitely isn't ugly.

Personality

β€’ Good Traits
-She's artistic and creative.
-She's a good listener, a mediator and peacemaker among her friends. She thinks of herself as being fair and someone who always tries to figure out the easiest and best possible solution.
-She's organized, clean and neat.

β€’ Bad Traits
-She wouldn't call herself boring, and she's not, but she's not spontaneous either. She likes for things to be scheduled, where she has time to plan for things, and doesn't like jumping out of bed at two in the morning to go on an adventure.
-She is not academically intelligent. She was diagnosed with dyslexia as a child and struggles tremendously with most core subjects in school. Outside of the classroom, she's perfectly competent and she's not lacking in common or social smarts, but in the classroom, she definitely has a more difficult time.
-She can be a bit anal about things being neat and just how she likes it.

β€’ Written Personality
A lot of Ari's appeal comes from how effortless everything about her seems to be. She has that cool girl vibe, that shows that she's comfortable with herself and isn't very insecure, and she possesses that in a very natural way. It doesn't seem like she's trying to hard to fit in or be someone that she's not, and she's not someone who will say or do something just to be a part of the in crowd. That doesn't necessarily mean that she's someone who's actively trying to break the mold or the social order of things, because she's not, but she's not some follower who's on the brink of being downgraded to a wannabe, and tries oh so hard to retain relevancy. That's not her, and while she finds that she fits in best with her Royal companions, she confidently believes that she would be just as content in any other group on the social ladder if that was where her interests fell. She exudes confidence and self-esteem, and often comes off as unbothered by other people's opinions of her.

Ari doesn't think of herself as someone who is very judgmental, and she wouldn't refuse a friendship with anyone simply based on their clique. At the same time, she believes that as a human being, it's instinctual, unpreventable, and actually smart to judge people. There's a difference, though, in judging someone in your head, and trying to figure out who they are internally, compared to doing that and then acting on that in extreme way. If someone fits the mold of someone who looks and acts like they probably have a bunch of used heroine needles in their pocket, you can bet that she's not going to actively seek out conversation with them. If someone looks and acts like they won't be able to contribute any intelligent conversation or meaningful interaction with her, or that they have nothing in common, she will avoid them as well, and she finds nothing wrong with being judgmental in that sense. It doesn't lead to her being a bully, criticizing people for no reason just to establish her dominance, or to make herself seem cooler. It's just simply a way to figure out who's worth spending her time with. Of course, it comes with the cons of her potentially sorting out people who could be compatible friends with her, but it's not something that she's overly concerned with.

Although she isn't unsocial or awkward, Ari tends to be someone who's more comfortable in small groups or with a select group of close friends. She's not someone who's a crazy social butterfly, or someone who's actively trying to make friends with strangers. Calling her cold might be a stretch, but she definitely has more of that selective-friendliness thing going for her, where she only really welcomes and embraces her friends, over strangers. It's not an attempt at making anyone feel left out or anything, and is more-so a personal thing, where she just doesn't feel comfortable opening up to strangers. With her friends, though, she only has that short and colder side to her when she's angry or bothered about something. Other than that, she's energetic, easy going, and has a tendency to act as the mediator or peacemaker of the group, the one who doesn't want any tension and drama, or unnecessary fighting. To an extent, she's that way for the obvious reason of not wanting her friends to have issues with one another, but additionally, she's also very sensitive and hates being involved in conflict herself. She finds there to be a difference in being sensitive and insecure, with the latter not being a trait that she would use against herself. She isn't someone who's always worrying about what people are thinking of her, but at the same time, if someone calls her out on a flaw, she doesn't take it lightly and tends to be more emotional than one would expect from her.

Past
β€’ Hometown
She was born in a small town of Arizona, called Cottonwood. She lived there for a year, before her family moved on. They traveled throughout most of the mid-west and south-west parts of the country, never staying in one area for more than a couple of months, until she was twelve, when she moved to Los Angeles, to live with her mother's sister and her husband. She has called Los Angeles home ever since.

β€’ Upbringing
Ari's upbringing is not one that would be labeled as traditional, and yet, when she looks back on it, she doesn't think of it as being a bad time. It was just... different. Both of her parents were artists. Her mother, Stacy, came from an upper class family in Los Angeles, and moved to New York when she was in college, to study art at New York University. Her parents were very insistent that she go to school for law or medicine, or something more profitable, but she was their black sheep of the family, and eventually they gave in to her dreams of becoming an artist, if only because at first, she promised that she would double major in education and become an art teacher. Things didn't go that way though, and her parents blame the boy that she fell in love with during that first year of college. He wasn't a student at NYU, but at a local community college. He was majoring in art too, but came from a drastically different background from Stacy, and they actually met while he was homeless and sneaking into the NYU dorms to shower. Ari has heard the story so many times, that she could tell you their love story from cover to cover, but long story short, they fell in love, and Stacy's parents were barely able to convince her to graduate from NYU before she and her boyfriend, Max, eloped, bought an RV, and went on a cross country expedition. They worked as freelance artists, taking on jobs and selling their paintings wherever they ended up. Stacy and her family were constantly at odds for her life choices after this, and that only became all the more true when she became pregnant with Ari. Her parents didn't think that she and her raggedy husband could not only afford, but emotionally too, provide a good life for a child, when they were living like dirty hippies in some old RV. Of course, her parents painted the picture as being much more destitute than it really was, but it just clashed so strongly with their lifestyle. Ari's childhood wasn't bad though. She wasn't neglected or living in poverty, just much more simply than most kids were. She was a happy child who loved exploring, travelling and seeing what the world had to offer. Six years after she was born, her parents had another child, Flynn, and like her, her parents loved and wanted the best for Flynn. He became Ari's best (and really, only) friend, and even today, she feels incredibly close and connected with her brother.

It's shocking, really, that her mother actually encouraged her to leave their close knit family when she was twelve. A year before, Stacy's sister, Julie, found out that she was barren, and would not be able to have children of her own. Julie and her husband, Marc, decided against surrogacy and were looking into adoption, when Julie and Stacy's mother made one final plea for Stacy to leave Max, and move back to California with the children to raise them "normally". After discussing things with Max, and knowing that Ari was struggling far more with the little academic work that she gave her kids, than even the younger Flynn was, Stacy asked Ari if she wanted to spend a year with her aunt and uncle, attending a normal school, and experiencing their lifestyle. Ari said yes, because it sounded like an adventure, and just a few weeks before, she had watched an episode of Degrassi on a television in a diner that her mother was having a consultation with a client in, and it made "real" school seem cool and interesting. Then again, her mother encouraging her leaving only signified how much Stacy truly loved her daughter and wanted the best for her.

β€’ Pets
As a kid, she had three dogs: two mutts, Rover and Sammy, and a Golden Retriever, Daisy. Daisy and Sammy are still alive, and living with her parents and brother, and Rover died a year before she moved in with her aunt and uncle.

β€’ Education
Ari was homeschooled for the first twelve years of her life. A lot of people who homeschool do it in a very legitimate manner, but that wasn't the case with Ari's parents. They forged the documents required by the state, and taught their kids in a very relaxed manner, claiming that the kids would learn more from travelling and exploring than they would on their own. This wasn't a great approach for a kid like Ari, who already struggled with dyslexia and could have benefited from some real help from people trained in education. Her parents did teach her most of the basics, so it wasn't like when she was twelve and moved in with her aunt and uncle, that she couldn't read or count to ten, but the first few years of traditional schooling were definitely very stressful for her. It took a lot of tutors and extra help to catch her up to a normal level, and even now, starting her sixth year at Buckley, as a junior, she still struggles academically with nearly all of her core subject courses.

Image
Present
β€’ Household
Her household consists of herself, her aunt and her uncle. They do not have any children of their own, and Ari's own brother lives with their parents still.

β€’ Pets
None, her Aunt is allergic to pet hair.

β€’ Secrets
It's not necessarily a secret, but Ari has always been lowkey about her upbringing, and she definitely does leave out detail here and there. For the most part, her friends are aware that she traveled a lot as a child, and that her parents are artists. They know that she was homeschooled and that she has a brother, but that's about it. They don't know about the very simple and nontraditional lifestyle, about how she spent twelve years living in an RV with no television or internet, and how her parents were very into everything being natural and off the grid. Ari likes to think that she's not embarrassed by it, and in her head, she isn't, but she has become a lot more accustomed to "the real world" since moving in with her aunt and uncle, and because of that, she's becoming more and more distant with her roots. As that happens, she has become more aware of how her roots are abnormal and how people would probably think of her differently if they knew what her real family was like, so it's just not something that she would ever go out of her way to talk about.

β€’ Summer Spent
She had to retake her math class in summer school, after failing it as a sophomore. She volunteered at the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles four days a week, alternating between working in the gift shop and entertaining children waiting in the waiting rooms. She spent a lot of the rest of her summer at the country club her family belongs to and the beach, as well as spending a few long weekends in New York and London. What she enjoyed the most though, was spending three days with her parents and brother when they came to visit.

Future
β€’ Short Term Goals
She really wants to improve her PSAT scores, so that when she takes the SAT this year, she does remotely well on it. Right now her scores are... well, they're not something that any reputable college would be impressed by. She also knows that she needs to start taking college more seriously, and figuring out what she's going to do in terms of that. Is she going to do what her aunt and uncle are pushing for, and go into a field that she knows she won't enjoy (or do well in), or will she follow her passion of art, and disappoint that family?

β€’ Long Term Goals
She's still stuck on those short term goals, so until she can figure that out, her long term goals won't really be one of her priorities. She knows that she wants to study abroad for a semester in college, but that's as far as she's thinking.

β€’ Aspirations
She doesn't have any specific career aspirations, though she knows that she would love to end up doing something art related. In a more personal aspect, she is someone who wants to have a family one day, but she doesn't want some uppity lifestyle like the one she's living in now. At the same time, she doesn't think she wants something as nontraditional as what her own parents have.

Out of Character

β€’ Plotline Ideas for your Character?
At this point, I don't have anything major planned for her. If anything, I have a few ideas for more personal conflicts, such as her parents divorcing and leading her to rethink what "true love" is, and the internal conflicts that will come with that. The stress of college applications, and dealing with what her aunt and uncle expect of her compared to what her parents expect of her will present some challenges too. Nothing at this point, though, that would affect the other characters.

β€’ Timezone
I'm on EST

β€’ How Often Do you Post?
I'm a student and have a job, but I should be able to post within 48 hours of it being "my turn" to post. I don't like making people wait (because I don't like people doing that to me), so I can guarantee that unless something random and very extreme happens, you'll always get a heads up if I'm going to be gone for a substantial period of time.

So begins...

Her friends had a reputation for being cold, snobby, and in some cases, intimidating, but this conversation was a perfect example of why Ari loved them. They probably were all of those things, especially to people of lower statuses who "deserved" it, but to each other, they were fun, loyal, and definitely amusing. It was something that couldn't even be blamed only on the alcohol. Everyone knew that Juliette could be just as crazy sober as she was now, and Aaliyah and Camila always had the wittiest comebacks no matter where they were, or who they were with.

Juliette accusing Camila of being interested in Nick seemed a bit random. As Cami claimed, Nick didn't seem like the kind of guy who would be her type. He was cute and all, but not someone she could envision Cami being with. She was too... fierce for him. She supposed he could fall into the one-night-stand category, if Camila had enough alcohol in her, but even that seemed like a stretch. The way that Cami denied it seemed even more authentic, and given that Juliette definitely was prone to having a tendency of pulling things out of thin air to try to distract everyone from whatever they were grilling her on, Ari didn't linger on the thought of Camila and him for long, because she quickly concluded it wasn't true.

"It isn't nice to give a girl false hope, you know," Ari responded teasingly amid a smile, to Camila's welcomed gaze in her direction. In a just as welcomed (but more expected) move, Juliette seemed to grow typically territorial at Camila's comment, and Ari was soon bracing herself for Juliette's arm-link, so that she didn't spill her drink in the process. Luckily, she had finished her slice of pizza a few seconds before, because Juliette showed no sign of letting go, even after she quickly consumed her entire drink in a matter of seconds. That had Ari cringing inwardly, because while she knew that this was a party and the point was to get drunk, she always worried more about Juliette and her intake. Herself and the other two girls could hold their liquor, or at least control their intake to a point where they didn't pass out every time they drank. Juliette was an irresponsible drinker; definitely a whole different story compared to them. The fact that in the midst of the conversation, and after only a baby-sized bite at that, she had stopped eating her pizza made Ari feel even more uneasy. She contemplated saying something; grabbing the slice of pizza to take with them on this little adventure to find Camila's perfect suitor, or demanding that Juliette eat it before they even leave the kitchen. She was tempted to even put her on the spot and inquire about when the last time she had eaten something was, but she didn't. Juliette seemed insistent on leaving in that moment, and she also felt like Camila and Aaliyah probably needed a break from Jules more than she did, so she allowed her to lead her out of the kitchen, even if it wasn't before flashing the two girls left behind an SOS sort of look. "Don't think I didn't notice you leaving that entire slice of pizza in the untouched," she did say, as Juliette led her through the house. "You know you worry me with that, Jules. Between barely eating and then drinking this much..."

"Bye bye now," Aaliyah exclaimed, an obvious sign of her now jovial mood for she had a bright smile on her face and wiggled her fingers at the disappearing duo. Before long, she was giggling and popping the last piece of pizza in her mouth, chewing in pleasure as she went back to resting her head against the upper cabinets. In typical Juliette fashion, when Camila and Aaliyah were too "mean," there was a signal in her brain that declared that she had met her "mean" limit for the hour. And so, it meant that she had to grab Arizona, who was always more than willing to appease her brunette, and run off only to return at some point within the next few hours as if nothing had occurred earlier. There were about three instances in particular where Juliette actually surprised Aaliyah by not speaking to her for the rest of the day, but was the first to send a thousand emojis as a form of apology and a declaration of love, and demands for affection. It always made her chuckle and the thought, at the moment, made her laugh to herself even as she took another big intake of her drink.

"Mmmmm...you shouldn't have done that," Leah declared to Camila now that they were alone. People were coming in and out of the kitchen, and a few had waved even when the foursome had been together, but in essence, the two were alone. She gave her friend a pointed yet playful look. "Now that you've told her that, she'll be convinced that I've somehow clued you into my nefarious, lesbian plans to corrupt her and Ari." A beat later and Aaliyah's frown dropped, and she allowed herself to lean against Camila a bit. Her higher vantage point enabled her to rest her head atop the Latina's. There was no denying that Aaliyah loved all of her Royals. They all had their moments and in public, she may forever have a resting bitch face or look like everyone displeases her, but they're her girls. They didn't just stay Royals because whomever else elevated them. These were girls who stayed with her. Poppy was her little fashionista, Juliette was her greatest source of entertainment but also her most loyal and loving, Arizona her breath of fresh air, and Camila...her solace. They all were loved quite equally, but it was with Camila Aaliyah could usually be a bit more honest with. Perhaps it had more to do with the fact that they were the most similar of the girls, Leah wouldn't really be able to say. What she did know was that there was a rather open honesty policy between them that there wasn't always when it came to the others, which was why she wound up inquiring, voice softer, more intimate now: "Do you really think that? That getting involved...that that would result in you throwing your future away?" The "that you can't have both" remained stuck on the tip of her tongue.

Cami allows a rather amused yet quiet giggle escape her lips as Juliette escorts Ari out of the room, followed by an even louder giggle after hearing Aaliyah's comment followed by a hum as the last few drops of her cold drink slide down her throat. "You never know, Liah..." she says before tilting her head in the girl's direction with a subtle smirk. "Anything could happen~". And Camila truly believed that, which is why she always found herself to carefully calculate every move she made. One false move or bad decision could change everything for the better, or for the worst.

"Do you really think that? That getting involved...that that would result in you throwing your future away?" At that, Cami's lips formed a subtle pout. It's not the first time she'd been asked this, but it was the first time she was asked by Aaliyah, and really that made all the difference. There was always an unspoken truth between Cami and Liah. No sugar coating, no lies. They both prefer honesty over merciful lies, which is why Cami was being one hundred percent honest when she answered "I don't know..." her voice trails off towards the last word, realizing she has no more drink to busy her lips with. It was certainly something she thought she believed for a while now, because she had things to accomplish and worlds to conquer. What good would a relationship do her?

Never mind that annoying feeling deep in her gut that tells her she really does want someone to be involved with. "Maybe..." she sighs, dramatically turning around to face Liah, one hand on her hip while the other clutches onto the empty glass. "...maybe I'm just waiting for Mr. Right." she says matter-of-factly before her eyebrows furrow together in pandering thought. "Or misses right." she adds, alluding to her comment from earlier about anything being possible.

JULIETTE ϟ ARNAULT

Outfit: Outfit, sans jean jacket

Dialogue Color: #7957C2

"You worry too much, Ari," Juliette insisted, turning her head back to give her a knowing look, as she pulled her hand from a few steps ahead to insure that Ari was still following her. "And that's not just me talking. I think everyone who knows who knows that you worry too much," she added, as if there had some been some town meeting on the subject, when in truth, that was only Juliette lying to make her point sound more valid. The fact of the matter was that Ari wasn't an excessive worrier. She did seem to be frequently anxious over school, but for good reason because it was something she struggled with. If Juliette took a page from her book on that, it would be likely that she wouldn't be struggling half as badly as she was, since her reasons for doing poorly more-so stemmed form a lack of care and interest, over actual disabilities. Other than that, Ari was more of a concerned friend than someone who worried too much. Juliette just didn't want to admit that she did have a tendency to drink too much and eat too little, so insisting that Ari was overreacting was always the easier route to take until those drinks on an empty stomach came back to bite her, which was when she would drunkenly sob about how none of her friends had given her even a minute's worth of time to eat before forcing her to drink excessively. That was Juliette for you.

Although most of the party was going on outside, Juliette needed the comfort of the air conditioned house for a few minutes. "If you're going to worry about anything, worry about finding Camila the man of her dreams." She knew Ace's house well enough to not feel weird about wandering around without him, which was why she led Ari upstairs without a second thought. Though she knew that no one had criticized her specifically, Juliette was dramatic enough to believe that Aaliyah was insisting that she didn't look good because of what she had done with Ace, and now she needed to double check that. "Did you bring makeup? I didn't bring any because Camila did mine for me but now I feel like I look disgusting and I need you to fix my face," she said, making a sharp turn into one of the bathrooms attached to an upstairs hallway and hoisting herself up onto the counter next to the sink. She pulled out her phone for a moment to text Camila.

A lot of people found Juliette to be draining after a while. They needed her in small doses, if they didn't know her well enough to know that being with her wasn't entirely listening to her complain or victimize herself. Ari was too close with Juliette to think of her as being just the drama queen that a lot of people chalked her up to be. She was the friend who would dance with you all night, attempt to out drink you (and always fail - but still deserved credit for always being willing to try taking another shot), take a million pictures of you until you found the one with the perfect lighting. She had nothing against you raiding her closet if you could manage to find something that wasn't meant for her twig of a body, she loved talking and telling stories, but also listening to them. Ari could go on for hours about how fun of a friend Juliette was, and she meant it. Everyone had their own quirks, and Jules was no exception, but at the same time, Ari knew that she was going to be absolutely heartbroken next year if Juliette chose to go away for college. She would be upset about all of the senior Royals leaving. It wasn't like she was necessarily loved Juliette more than the others, like Camila or Aaliyah, per se, but she and Juliette just clicked. Juliette needed her, and Ari liked the feeling of being needed and having a purpose, and the idea of Juliette moving on to bigger and better things (and people) made her sad and anxious as much as it made her happy. Because as selfish as Ari could be in wanting things to stay the same, and for herself to always be the person that Juliette turned to whenever she needed an "escape", she also knew that going out into the real world was probably the best thing for this Arnault. She needed to get out of this sheltered little bubble of hers, and the realization of that made Ari more appreciative of the last few months that they would have together before the school year ended, and things would change.

"I didn't bring any," Ari said, shaking her head slightly. She hadn't even brought a bag with her tonight. She had her phone, a twenty dollar bill in her bra, and that was it. She had Uber and Apple pay on her phone if anything went wrong, but given that this was a local party and an informal one, she didn't have any need to bring much more. Now, of course, she was regretful of that, because she liked being the person who had everything on hand to take care of everyone's needs. "I'll get some from Riley if you really need it, which I seriously don't think you do," she offered, referencing a junior Prep that had waved to them when they were back in the kitchen. Ari hadn't spoken to the girl tonight, but she knew that she was the one girl who you could always count on to have as much makeup as an entire Sephora store on her at any given time. Juliette looked fine. Maybe slightly disheveled, but if she had had sex with Ace like she had apparently had (because a two year old could see straight through Juliette's denial), then Camila had definitely done a good job on her makeup because it had all stayed on nearly perfectly. Nevertheless, when Juliette insisted that she needed it, Ari found herself venturing back downstairs and into the kitchen to find Riley.

Downstairs, Ari didn't immediately find the Prep that she was looking for, but she did find Camila not far from where she had left her and Aaliyah a few minutes prior. The Queen Bee herself wasn't around, but that wasn't too concerning. Though the Royals were a tight-knit bunch, and were pretty selective in who they associated with, it was only intelligent to network with other cliques, and Ari knew that Aaliyah had a variety of friends on the social ladder. Some probably didn't deserve the girl's time, but Ari wasn't the type to really comment on things she thought negatively of, unless asked for her opinion. Aaliyah was clearly beyond intelligent anyway, so Ari trusted her judgement on most things.

Though Camila appeared to be in the middle of conversation with someone, Ari didn't hesitate to slide into the circle next to her friend, giving her side a gentle squeeze from behind as she did so. "I'm back, but this time, without our little fibbing friend," she said playfully with a smile. "I'm looking for Riley and I could have sworn that I saw her down here a minute ago. Any idea on where she went?" she said, relaxing against the counter behind her. She still had her drink in her hand, which she had barely realized in all of the movement. Unlike Juliette who had downed hers before leaving the kitchen the first time, Ari still had about half of hers left. She tended to drink sugary cocktails slowly. It was easier to get drunk taking shots, when you had to down it because the taste was so bitter, but she also wasn't necessarily in a rush to get drunk, so she didn't mind going slowly tonight. As she waited for Camila to answer her, she pulled out her phone to quickly text Adrien.

I hope you won for us ;). I pulled my weight!

Despite Jasmine's hazy understanding of the events going on around her, she was sober enough to realize that what Jenna had just said was unlikely. For a second she remained silent, eyes focused on the brunette as if asking her to repeat it again. Her gaze then flickered to Sam, who in turn nodded in assurance to what the girl had just said. Her eyebrows reacted first, quickly disappearing into her well-kept bangs. Luke may be many things, but Jasmine knows he's not a trouble maker.

"what was Luke doing in the middle of all that?" she questioned, eyebrow cocked in curiosity, her eyes flickered more towards Sam since he seemed to be the closest to the wannabe out of anyone there. A subtle shrug was returned to her as her brother glanced back in the direction of the scene.

"I don't know...we only saw the end of everything and then he and Roman left." he almost mumbled, checking his phone once to see that there had yet to be a reply to the text he had sent Luke. Sammy may not be the closest friend to the wannabe, but they are friends nonetheless, and close enough to where Sam would avidly worry about his well being. Because as trusting and naΓ―ve as he is, even he knows Roman Eliades spells TROUBLE in all its capital letters. The last thing he wants is to see someone he cares for go through the kind of heartbreak he has faced before. Granted, Luke can fend for himself much better than Sam ever could, but that doesn't mean he is bulletproof.

Jasmine doesn't fail to catch on to her brother's subtle shift of expression and decides that a change of scenery could do him some good. "Don't worry too much, Sammy, I'm sure he's fine" she chimes in, shoving her own worries to the back of her mind. "Luke is more fierce than Jenna and I combined." she jokes, throwing the girl a playful look as her hand links with Sam's. "What you should be worrying about is making sure you don't end up snatched again." her teasing earned her the desired effect; an adorable pout and pink tinted cheeks from one flustered Sam.

With a giggle, she gestured towards the back door as she suggested they go outside and get some fresh air, not forgetting to invite Jenna, and even Nick, to come along. The smell of the outdoors would be a nice change for the both of them. One step out the back door and the difference in atmosphere could already be noted. Not that it saved Samuel the suggestive looks. In complete disregard to his misery, Jasmine appeared to be proud of what she had created. Her eyes scanned the area until they landed upon a familiar face. Rhapsody seemed to be fairly unoccupied, and surprisingly not accompanied by the usual chizled jawline.

"I don't understand how it is that you look prettier and prettier every time I see you." is Jasmine's greeting directed at the taller girl. Her eyes flicker around for a millisecond, wondering if maybe Derek has already heard about the night's event and has ran off to find his baby brother. Not that Jasmine would blame him. Were it Sam in Luke's position, she would have done the same and then some.

Tipsy, not drunk. That is what Camila continued to repeat in her head, despite being assured by a few people she had talked to since Aliyah left that she appeared to be happier than usual and utterly confused. Perhaps she was, but that didn't necessarily mean she was drunk. She lazily waved goodbye to Riley as the prep left the confines of the kitchen, and once again, Cami was alone.

Were it a normal, she wouldn't particularly mind, but somewhere between all the tequila shots and sugary drinks, her common sense had mixed in with irrational thoughts and emotions and what she was feeling like Juliette on her sober days. She glanced down at her cup for a moment, contemplating whether she should go all out and just continued to refill her cup until she either lost consciousness or ended up in someone's bed. All the self-assurance about not needing anyone to love had been forcefully thrown out the rhetorical window. Being so caught up in her thoughts, it took her several seconds to realize it was Ari that was now beside her, asking about Riley. Letting out a soft huff, her head slouched over, gently landing on Arizona's shoulder. Her brown orbs stared straight ahead at the kitchen entrance. "Jus' missed 'er. I dunno where she went"

To Camila, her words were delivered as they should be, but if Ari were to tell her that her speech was slurred or that she couldn't quite understand what was coming out of her mouth, she certainly wouldn't be the first one to do so. It's incredibly hard to assure others that you are in face not drunk when you can't so much as even form proper sentences. There's no denying that the fiery liquid running through her veins is taking a good grip on her sanity. "Are you gonna leave me 'gain to find 'er?". She really hadn't meant for the question to sound like a plea, but at this point Cami was tipsy enough to openly admit that she did not want to be alone.

"Not if you don't want me to," Ari said, smiling a bit unsurely, though she couldn't deny that she was at least somewhat amused by Camila being drunk. They all had their nights of drinking more than they should. Juliette tended to do this every time that they went out, and while Camila and Aaliyah never stayed sober for long either, they both were better at holding their liquor and not letting it show too early on in the night. That was why whenever either of them did get that way, Ari couldn't resist giggling just a little bit at the unusual behavior. She, herself, wasn't drunk. She had a good buzz going, but was at a typical level of intoxication for herself. It was rare that she ever got truly wasted, and though part of it was because she knew that her aunt and uncle would not be happy with her if she came home stumbling and spent the next morning on the bathroom floor, it was also because she tended to take on a more mom-friend role at parties like this. She was the one taking care of people, making sure that everyone got Ubers home when it was all over, and that no one was on their way to getting their stomach pumped before that, throughout the night. It was why there was no question in her mind that she would stay by Camila's side, now that she seemed to be on the verge of getting emotional, and also clearly intoxicated. That also brought up a minor conflict, given that Juliette was upstairs waiting for her, and was probably equally intoxicated, if not on the verge of being more, once that drink she had slurped up hit her. Ari was more desensitized to Juliette being drunk, so getting back to her seemed less urgent at the moment, though she did send her a text immediately, once she realized that Camila needed some TLC. It wasn't an honest one, but the easiest way to lure Juliette downstairs, regardless.

To: Juliette
Riley's out on the patio. Come down so I can fix that already beautiful face of yours!

They were still inside now, but Ari planned on going out to the patio. Camila definitely wasn't horribly drunk. Though she was slurring, Ari didn't think that she would be blacking out any time soon, so long as she didn't drink anything more for the moment. She left Camila's side, only after ensuring that the girl was steady on her feet, to find a water bottle in the fridge for the girl, handing it her way once she was by her side again. "That pizza slice didn't fill me up. Let's go outside so we can eat and you can tell me about all of the secrets that you and Aaliyah were definitely discussing once me and Jules left," she suggested, taking a hold of the girl's hand and giving her a gentle tug in that direction. The last part was only meant teasingly, basically quoting something that she was sure Juliette could seriously come up with, and the beginning part wasn't exactly true, as Ari wasn't hungry anymore herself, but she would eat a little something extra if she could get Camila to put some food in her stomach too.

Had Camila been sober, she may have been able to pick up on Ari's attempt at luring her outside, but the more seconds that crept by the less in her right mind she felt. She may have denied it all she wanted, but for the first time in a long time, she'd had one too many shots and emotions rather than common sense were taking over rapidly. She gently tugged back on Ari's hand, though not enough to pull away or prevent the girl from pulling her along. "But I'm not hungry..." she grumbled, running a hand through her still perfectly curled locks.

Brown eyes fixed on Arizona's face, she stopped abruptly as if having some sort of epiphany. "Oh my god Ari..." her voice was lower than normal, but loud enough to be heard of the trafficking of drinks and scattered yells over the thumping of the music. There was a short beat of silence before Cami's red-tainted lips curled into a smile. The usual smile she put on the rare occasions she felt like being flirtatious. "You are gor-geous!" she added, breaking up the last word into its syllables. It's funny how alcohol makes one notice things they wouldn't have noticed otherwise. Not that Camila hadn't found Arizona pretty before, but the tequila made her look at things in a whole new light, Ari included. "Seriously, you're makin' me look bad" there was a subtle pout added to her comment before the brunette linked arms with her friend, tugging her in the direction she imagined was the bar.

"Come on, I need another drink." she urged, because in her mess of a brain she was nowhere near being drunk. Another martini or two would do the trick for sure. That's really all she would need to drown out any and all irrational and emotionally charged thoughts that her fast paced life had no time for.

"Stop it, you know you look gor-geous, too!" Ari insisted when Camila complimented her and followed it with a self-depreciating comment. She purposely mimicked the way that Camila pronounced gorgeous teasingly, though she knew that the girl was probably too drunk right now to even catch on to being teased. If she was too drunk for that, she was definitely too drunk to need another drink. Make no mistake that while Ari didn't mind playing the role of the mom to her friends, she didn't like having to be the fun-police. She didn't like being the person to have to kill anyone's vibes or regulate the fun, so if Camila was only tipsy, or even if she ate a slice of pizza or two and a good amount of water, Ari wouldn't be too bothered by the idea of her having another drink after, to keep her buzz going for the night. Right now, though, she just knew it wasn't a good idea.

The level of drunk that Cami was at now was fine because she was still functioning and fun. Too much more alcohol, though, and she would cross over that thin line of being a fun drunk, to being one who was a stumbling mess. It wasn't so much that Ari didn't think she could deal with it, because she knew that she would try her best, but she knew that Camila would regret it the next morning. Cami was a poised girl who had garnered a lot of respect for herself at school. She had a reputation to uphold, and while even she was allowed to let loose with a few drinks every now and then, Ari didn't want her to get to a point where she would do anything that she would regret. "Food first, drinks later!" Ari insisted, giving a tug that was only subtly stronger than the one that Camila had exerted on her, in the opposite direction. The greasy food that was typical at parties like this wasn't the type of food Ari liked to let herself indulge in, but she had enough alcohol in her to decide that she could count tonight as a cheat day for her normally healthier diet.

Ace had returned to the kitchen as promised, after getting his food from outside, but by the time he had returned, he found that the girls had all went their separate ways. He shouldn't have been surprised that the most popular girls in school had people to socialize with and things to do, and though he did genuinely want to spend some time with them, since he was good friends with most of them, even if some more than others, but it didn't bother him too much. There were other people that he ended up talking with in the kitchen, and they provided him with enough of a distraction that he wasn't even thinking about his two good friends who were both quickly succumbing to the effects of the drugs that he had no idea were in the drinks he gave to them. They only crossed his mind when he had finished eating and returned outside with an ice cold beer in his hand, looking for some of his guy friends, and he happened to spot Ari tugging Camila towards the tables that were still pretty full of the delivery foods. "Food first, drinks later?" Ace repeated with a chuckle, not noticing immediately that Cami was considerably drunker than Ari. "Not a bad motto," he decided, and though he was tempted to playfully chide them for ditching him earlier, he found his eyes searching Camila's figure for a moment. He liked Juliette more than he could explain, but right now he definitely couldn't find it in him to regret hooking up with Camila a little while back. Hell, she was looking good enough tonight that he could see himself doing it again. "But making sure my guests are happy is what hosts do best, so want me to grab you another drink while you get some food?" he said, his eyes eventually making their way up to meet Camila's eyes. "If you're not gonna got MIA again the second I leave, that is."

Bea Prinsloo stumbled into the party. She was looking bomb asf. She had red lipstick and a skirt that was so flowy and long. She scanned her eyes through the throng of drunk kids until her eyes met with Samuel Kim. She confidently strode in his direction, sashaying her hips from left to right. She grabbed his face in hers and planted a smooch on his lips. She pulled away, smiling, "Happy fourth anniversary, bitch."
