" Don't judge a book by its cover " is more of a paradox for Micah. She's not your average small Asian - not crisp or clean, nor smart or quiet. Her personality is the complete opposite of her stereotyped looks and even though she looks like she couldn't hurt a fly ( but let's be honest, she would be too busy running away from it ) she's the complete opposite of her stuck-up parents. She grew up in a very serious environment, which caused her to explode once she got to university where she could finally be herself without her parents breathing down her neck and expecting her to act like the perfect little lady she was not.
She's outgoing, completely extroverted and a professional social butterfly. People gravitate towards her explosive and bright personality and everyone usually is intrigued enough to want to be her friend. She's nice enough not to be considered snobby or conceited but can manage to be intimidating and elitist, not easy to get along with. She curses more often than not and loves being right. Whoever said ladies don't curse could go to hell for all she cared about.
She's feisty, determined, intelligent and witty. But she's afraid being beautiful is her only talent. She's clever enough to know that she's not as talented as her siblings or as her friends. They all have a special ability whereas she feels like she's just there to entertain and be a doll. Through it all, she keeps her head up and doesn't show her insecurities, but if someone breaks down her walls they can easily tell she's completely lost and in desperate need for attention. She's funny, ( relatively ) nice, lively and quite the firecracker. She's more like a lollipop: colorful, dazzling on the outside, but empty calories and artificial sweeteners on the inside.

Micah was born in Almaty, Kazakhstan on the 29th of January, 1994 to ethnic Kazakh parents. Even though shortly after her birth they left the country for work-related reasons, Almaty's still Micah's favorite city in the world. Her father was a world-known History teacher and author and her mother a journalist, Micah being their youngest child. She has two twin older sisters and an older brother, the girls being 29 and her brother 27. When Micah was four years old, they moved across the world to the United States and settled in Illinois, where Micah's father had been called to teach History at the University of Chicago.
Growing up, Micah's parents wanted to give their children the best and most expensive education. From a young age, Micah attended an all-girls private Catholic school, up until she graduated and moved away to attend university. She always wanted to make her parents proud since her siblings were all so talented - her sisters both played the violin and the cello and were exceptionally good at school, and her brother was more of a soccer prodigy and the best player at his private all-boys school. But Micah was just Micah, a social elitist from a young age too obsessed with clothes and makeup to care about her grades. Sure, she wasn't stupid, but she wasn't as good as her family wanted her to be.
Soon after getting in the Rhode Island School of Design to study Apparel Design and Textiles, Micah moved away from her home to Rhode Island much to her parent's disagreement. They didn't mind that she was into fashion, in fact, they applauded her for even getting into such a school, but they asked too much of her. They wanted her to be the best when she just wanted to have fun while doing so. But even with her parents behind her every step, Micah felt free being so far away from them and could finally let lose.
Eventually, she graduated and moved back to Chicago. But she settled into her own apartment far from her home and started her life there. She got a job as a personal shopper, and it paid well. She went out every weekend, bought expensive wines and expensive ( but mostly vintage ) dresses, and hung out with people who were just like her - social and crazy and unpredictable and impulsive. She was finally home.
A few months after basically figuring out her life, one of her best friends suggested she join MTV's new TV reality show " Are You The One? ". They said she was perfect for the show, such a drama queen, and a flirt that she'd fit right in, plus she'd get to meet a lot of boys. Micah laughed it off, she had always liked playing around with the opposite sex and found it quite hard to settle in a relationship. Sure, she'd dated many guys and had countless boyfriends growing up but none of them were serious for her. One drunken night, Micah was feeling too confident and decided to send an application - before she knew it, she'd been accepted. And from then on her life turned even more hectic than it ever was.
