From his stretched ears to his permanently broody face, Ollie has always been labelled a 'bad boy'. Or at least, a wannabe bad boy. The one problem is that he's far too much of a dork to actually earn the title. His faux persona which has Ollie being overtly flirtatious and charismatic with just about anyone, whilst still maintaining his air of mystery is truly just that - fake.
Really, Ollie is still mentally stuck in his awkward teen years, when he was just a little too chubby and a little too weird for him to ever be considered dateable. Girls, quite frankly, scare the young man. Despite growing up - and growing up hard - it's becoming increasingly more and more difficult to shake who he once was as Ollie clings onto a past he never even enjoyed.
Unable to let go, and yet also unable to let down his facade around the majority of people, Ollie is forever stuck in a paradox of sorts that has him switching from trying to be cool, calm and collected, to blushing and manically giggling anytime an attractive person seems to be flirting with him. He's a confused boy, that's one thing for certain, and his complex personality only makes it harder for others to actually get to know the real Ollie.
Going from undatable to extreme bad boy means that Ollie has never had a steady partner. That's not to say he hasn't had a fair few hook-ups, and is well versed in the art of one night stands, but that's simply not what he's looking for anymore. Needing someone equally as complex, Ollie just wants to find someone he can be his super weird self with, whilst at the same time, making them laugh with his incredibly extra tough guy act.
If you know Ollie well, there's a high chance you'll have heard him say "I swear I'm cool ok". Because no matter how much he wants that broodiness to keep others from seeing who he truly is, his act is so transparent it's almost laughable at how easy it is to see through. But then again, there's nothing to say that Ollie can't both enjoy casual flings and looking off into the distance with squinted eyes, as well as also being the biggest goof you may ever meet.

Having to work just to keep up with the rent, Ollie's mother Ciara, sacrificed time that could be spent with her child not because she wanted to, but because she had to.
As he aged, Ollie learnt how to become exceedingly independent and look after himself. Never blaming his mother for the disfunction of his childhood, Ollie rather blamed the person who had abandoned him. His father. Despite never having met the man, as Ciara was left by him when she was eight months pregnant, Ollie has always wanted to meet the man face-to-face just to finally let all that pent up anger out on someone that deserved it.
Keeping to himself mostly throughout his childhood, Ollie was bullied a lot as a child because of his 'nerdy' personality and love of anything to do with Star Wars. It wasn't until he hit puberty that people started to really notice Ollie. There's no doubt that puberty did him a lot of favours and he started to dislike himself a lot less, but still kept to himself.
Suddenly that loner behaviour switched from making him look like a complete loser, to looking like a mysterious broody young man that intrigued people rather than repulsed them. From that moment on Ollie learnt the fickleness of human behaviour; nothing about his personality had changed at all, he had just become attractive.
Messing around with his close friendship group one day, someone put on the television and on came an ad for an upcoming season of this cheesy show he'd never heard of. As a joke Ollie's friends signed him up and surprisingly, he was accepted! Ollie assumes it's simply because the producers must have realised what a mess he was and decided that he would be good for causing drama and awkward moments throughout the series - Which they aren't wrong about.
