Eris stands about 5’4, and is well muscled yet shapely though she has the bone structure of a bird. She has shoulder length black hair that shines a dark purple in the light. She has an oval face that is offset by her large red orange eyes that are framed in thick black lashes. Eris has an ever present smile that is made even more stunning by her pearl white teeth.
She has an air of innocents about her despite the strange shade of her eyes and her ever present smirk. She has naturally tan skin that is made darker by all the time she spends out in the sun.
Eris usually wears the standard red kimono of her element though whenever she gets the chance to be alone she wears her green kimono in honor of her home (earth bending) village and parents. She wears her hair up in a ponytail or braid most of the time because she feels it makes her look more like the fire bender she is supposed to be. It is usually held in with a brightly colored ribbon. If she is particularly relaxed she wears it down. She likes to go barefoot like most earth benders though she only does it when she is alone.

Eris is fiercely independent. She is able to accomplish anything she puts her mind to and she refuses to give up. Eris is extremely ambitious, persistent and determined which is shown through her somewhat controlling attitude. She will work for what she wants and she is not afraid to get her hands dirty. Eris is also very flexible she is able to re-survey any situation and take a different approach if necessary. She is a fierce competitor, though she will always win justly. Eris is excellent at restoring order to any chaotic situation and just as capable of manipulating people for her own benefit.
Eris often finds herself misunderstood because of her intensity and contradictory behavior. Eris is constantly trying to understand her emotions through finding a deeper purpose in life. She is very capable of hiding her true feelings and motivations though she tries to be very honest. Eris is all about control, control of herself and all situations she is in. Eris was born and raised in a small earth bending town. She had an older sister named Ciel and two loving parents named Nie-ling (mother) and Po (father). She had a very normal life with the exception that she could not bend. Her parents and older sister where always encouraging, loving and kind. Up until she turned 12 she thought she was a late blooming earth bender. (Though her worst fear was that she didn't have the ability to bend at all) The night before her 13th birthday she was practicing her earth bending movements...Until that is, she burned down her own home.After the fire was finally put out her parents told her the truth. Eris was left out on the road to die so her parents took her in. Feeling betrayed and alone Eris took off on her own to 'find herself'.
Eris roamed the fire nation for a wile, learning the ways of the fire benders. When she turned 17 she returned home only to find both her parents had passed and her sister was no longer there. After visiting her parents graves and making peace she went out in search of her older sister.
