Age: Unknown. As a zombie Nikol could easily be anything between two hundred and two thousand years for all anyone knows. However, his reputation as a hunter has existed for at least several centuries, and he consistently speaks of historical events as if he had been there to witness them.
Gender: Male
Orientation: Probably asexual, really, he doesn't care all that much for sex and romance. Doesn't stop him from flirting with people every now and then when he gets bored, but as usual he's never really serious about it.
Personality: How Nikol seems to behave is probably not even the slightest indication of who--or what--he really is. He comes off less like an immortal hunter of supernatural beings and more like a flirtatious young man who never is seen to act seriously, as if everything is little more than a mildly amusing game to him. Despite this, he is far more wise and intelligent than he appears--after all, how else could he become a hunter of the supernatural? His longevity has granted him a large measure of patience, and he can wait literally years, decades, or even more, to execute his plans. Nikol himself bears no ill will towards the supernatural (considering he is one); he hunts them merely as a means of...well, entertainment, really. The money itself doesn't even really appeal to him--just the thrill of fighting such powerful and often deadly opponents is enough for Nikol. He never really felt much for the whole 'superiority over humans' some supernatural beings had going--sure, supernatural beings put up a far better fight than humans, but humans are a lot less predictable, more random.
Nikol sees humans, like all living things, as merely temporary amusements, something to waste time with before he disposes of them and then continues on to whatever else looks interesting. As such, however, despite his patience, he is prone to getting bored, and at such times Nikol, figuring he can't even really die anyway, can do rash things, things that would positively kill him if he were not a zombie. Regardless of this he is remarkably persistent, and will not abandon his quarry until he kills it, even if it takes decades--after all, he has the time to spare, and he certainly isn't getting any closer to death.
Nikol does not love or hate easily; once you live a little longer, you realise how fruitless it is. He does have things that he finds interesting or amusing, and things he finds boring and useless, however. Those shall be listed below.
Likes: Nikol enjoys first and foremost the hunt--it is his most beloved activity. It is neither the reward that comes at the end, nor the destruction of a supernatural being that satisfies him--it is the hunt itself, the challenge, the battle. He loves fighting beings that are simply far more powerful than he is, simply because they cannot kill him and he never ceases to hunt them until he does kill them. Besides hunting, he does enjoy a good book, as he considers literature to be a timeless joy (though he does feel people these days are starting to lose their affinity to the written word--not that he cares much either way).
Dislikes: Nikol's sole 'dislike' is sunlight, because it causes him pain. Technically he can venture into the sun without fear of dying, but it inflicts immense burning pain upon him--though he can pretend he feels no pain for at best a maximum of five minutes, at that point the pain becomes so unbearable he can't stand it anymore and has to get out of the sunlight. Besides this, he also finds people of great faith (particularly those who hate the supernatural because of their faith) to be particularly irksome, as he simply cannot understand why they give their mind, body, and soul to a hypothetical, all powerful being--he thinks it is beyond foolish, that it is outright stupid.
Nikol fears one thing and one thing only, however: the necromancer that created him. Being the only thing that can possibly kill him, Nikol fears him even though for all he knows the necromancer could be long dead.
Abilities:
Superior Physicality: Nikol, as a zombie, is exponentially more physically powerful and agile than your average human. (Mastered, naturally)
Unstoppable: Nikol is literally impossible to kill by anyone but the necromancer that reanimated him. Decapitate him, set fire to him, throw him from an airplane, impale him, dismember him--and at the end of the day he'll put himself back together again and then he's back to tracking you down. (Mastered, naturally)
Heightened Awareness: Years upon years of hunting the supernatural coupled with his own supernatural nature have granted Nikol senses beyond what an ordinary human possesses, capable of seeing great distances, hearing the slightest intake of breath, even able to smell and analyse scents most people wouldn't have even noticed. (Exceptional)
Resistance: Nikol is immune to the effects of dominating magic/abilities, mind control, anything that attempts to subdue his mind, trick him, hypnotise him, etc. For example, an ability that attempts to probe his mind or manipulate it will have no visible effect. He cannot use this ability in combat or when using other abilities, as it becomes less and less effective when he devotes less of his concentration to do it. In addition, in sunlight, this ability is completely invalidated, as Nikol reroutes all his concentration against the pain caused by the sunlight--and even if he didn't, the pain is too great for him to maintain a shield against such abilities. Signature Ability:
Superhuman Rush: With a single thought, everything around Nikol seems to be moving far slower than usual--when in reality it is Nikol himself who is moving at speeds unmatched. While to those he is fighting it may seem to last perhaps four or five seconds, to Nikol himself it feels like as much as sixty seconds has passed--at the end of which he usually has decimated whoever he is fighting. The downside is that if he is hit or knocked back while in the midst of this 'rush', he is forced to readjust to the sudden shift in awareness speed--while his body has slowed down his mind is still operating, for a couple of seconds, at the speed he had been moving at previously; thus he becomes confused and disoriented for a few seconds. Strength: Nikol's greatest strength is...well, he can't die. What more is there that needs to be said? Unless you happen to be his necromancer, nothing you possibly do will ever destroy him.
Weaknesses: Though he cannot die, Nikol can still feel pain--and being immune to death does not make him immune to imprisonment--eternal imprisonment.
Weapons: Nikol utilises a variety of different weapons in his work, usually specifically for each different target (ie stakes and garlic for vampires). Besides this, he will typically fight with his own abilities and physical strength and speed.
Gear: Nikol keeps little in his life, and over the years he has come into possession of many items, only to eventually dispose of them when he bored of them or lost interest, or when they became useless.
Biography: Nikol's life is a secret known only to him--and really, his actual 'life' is unknown even to him. He has no recollection of what he was before he died, before he was brought back to 'unlife' by a necromancer. His earliest memories, seemingly aeons ago, are of serving this necromancer as a hunter of his enemies; Nikol was built to be a tool of precise killing, concentrated destruction, focused annihilation.
At some point, however, Nikol, who previously obeyed his 'master' without thought, grew weary and, truly, bored of this life. Knowing, however, that the necromancer was the one thing that could kill him, and that Nikol himself could not hope to defeat the being, the zombie merely fled, managing to avoid the wrath of his former 'master' for years as he was searched for. After the necromancer's wrath had abated Nikol found himself able to venture out into the world without fear of the necromancer attacking, and eventually he found work doing the thing he had been created for--hunting supernaturals.
Many years--centuries, perhaps millennia--has past since then, and Nikol has since made quite a reputation in his line of work--a reputation for being utterly unstoppable, emerging through explosions, decapitations, literally being torn to pieces, only to destroy his target and collect his reward.
Family: None, certainly none alive.
Relationship status: Oh, from time to time he indulges in a bit of 'pseudo-romance' to amuse himself. The big laugh comes when his 'beloved' realises what he is--now that never gets old.
Friends: Only whoever he takes a temporary interest in from time to time.
Foes: Whatever he is sent to kill, he devotes all his killing potential to. Otherwise, he really has no 'foes'.
Enemies and rivals: Same as above.
