Sure he's done some bad things like stealing from stores or drawing graphitti but it's not like he would ever hurt anybody. Besides, Derek really only causes trouble if he's in a bad mood and really desperate for some fun. Most of the time he can just be content with little things in life like sitting outside and watching animals. He has a false hope that as long as he keeps smiling, nothing can knock him down. Derek is pretty secretive, he'll be friendly to pretty much everyone on sight but he won't tell you anything about himself. You'd have to know Derek really well to see behind his smiles.

Derek is only 19 years old and stands at 5'6. He is pretty thin and not the most built guy out there. His hair is dark burgandy, straight and only a little shaggy. His eyes are a pale blue and his skin is fairly pale. His face and other features are pretty rounded, almost looking a little feminin. All in all Derek thinks he's pretty good looking, nothing you'd look twice at though.
History:
Derek was raised by his single mother alongside her older sister, Maddy. Childhood was always a struggle for money, hardley ever seeing his mother due to her working 2 jobs. When he turned 14 and his sister, 17, Maddy couldn't take it anymore. She ended up running away from home and Derek followed after. He was too scared of losing his sister that they ending up living side by side, following their own rules. Derek spent a lot of that time being reckless and having fun, making up for his struggling childhood. Maddy showed him how to steal and lie for them to get by it life. They lived fine for 5 long years, bonding along the way and never knowing about their mother again, until a vampire decided to pick Derek...
