Height: 5'7"
Scars/Tattoos/Piercings:
  • Scars: N/A
  • Tattoos: N/A
  • Piercings: Just her ears, nothing crazy outside of that.

Avalon is a rather tall woman with most of her height showing through her long legs. Her figure is hourglass shaped, but overall she's rather slim in appearance. Her hair travels to just below her shoulders in a deep brown coloring with just the slightest him of a wave. For the most part, her features are soft, a small nose, large almond eyes, and round cheeks, but a square jaw gives her a somewhat stern appearance. Her eyes are the one unique thing about her that she both loves and hates. They're their a very inhuman blue-green combination with a slitted pupil, not that people would be able to tell because she often covers them with brown Muggle contacts so that her parentage isn't brought into question.

Uniquely, Avalon has a second form that she is able to shift into. For the most part her features remain the same, just her nose taking on a more flat state and her canines growing into sharp fangs. A thin coat of fur consisting of various brown patters covers her body. Both her hands an feet take on an elongated appearance as claws take over for human nails. Her natural eyes and hair remain the same, and like most Nemean's she lacks a tail to her feline appearance.

Wand: Length: 10 1/2 inches, Wood: Mahogany , Core: Nemean Hair, Flexibility: Pliable

Special Devices: A silver dagger given to her by her father for times when she needs something 'a little more practical' than a wand.

Skills: Ava knows magical creatures, whether they be goblins to centaurs she knows how to handle them. Shifting her form from human to Nemean is something she's able to do easily, genetic disposition and all that. She's also quite skilled with transfiguration spells.

PERSONALITYImage

In many aspects, Avalon is just like her mother. Bookish and intelligent with a thirst to increase her own knowledge. Unlike the free spirit the older Wright woman was, Avalon is much more stern when it comes to following the rules. She has a strong feeling as to what's right and what's wrong and doesn't like to bend or push against the rules she's set for herself.

That's not to say that she needs to obey the laws. In fact, Avalon has been in trouble more times than once for her outspoken attitude pertaining to the other occupants of the magical community. She absolutely hates having to work with close-minded members of the wizarding world, but she's not so put off that she wouldn't attempt to enlighten them.

For the most part, Avalon is pretty calm. She takes things in stride and tries to think as logically as possible when it comes to her next move in any situation. She likes plans and her mind is quick and sharp enough to think of one even in a rushed situation. One may usually find the young woman with her nose stuck in a book or with a pen in her hand.

Avalon is also very proud of both her families. Nemean culture is unique and, overall, places great importance in family bonds. Therefore Avalon holds the thought that nothing is more important in her life than her family. She's fiercely protective of them and is easily riled up if someone tries to disrespect them or her culture.

She's also someone who understands the refusal that people have to accept things that aren't like them. This is the reason why she doesn't openly speak about her own family and hides her eyes behind Muggle contacts that can't be disrupted like a spell can. The fight between pure-bloods, half-bloods, and Muggle-borns is still somewhat a controversy so adding in halflings like herself into the mix could escalate the situation further. Hence why she spends much of her time speaking on the behalf of magical creatures.

To say Avalon's parentage isn't interesting would be a lie. Her mother, Anita Wright was the decedent of Bowman Wright, the inventor of the Golden Snitch, not that it matter much considering Anita and Quidditch didn't mix well. The older Wright woman had been born and raised in England, attended Hogwarts, and was sorted into the house of Ravenclaw. It perfectly suited her, of course, with her constant thirst of knowledge. She had been a first year student at the time of the Second Wizarding War and had admired the great witches and wizards who had fought against the Death Easters and Voldemort.

After graduating Anita had followed her passion for learning about various magical creatures. The Ministry of Magic's Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures was the next stop in her life. Years there and studying about the various creatures that inhabited the world, Anita ventured off to study them more closely in numerous places around the world.

While traveling is where she met him. He had been charming, unique, and understood that there were more parts to the world than people could really understand. He lead her into his own world and she was hooked. Tristan as he preferred to be called wasn't exactly human, was a member of a group of beings that Ministries around the world dubbed as 'shape shifters' and given the name Nemean (based off of the Greek Nemean Lion). Settling down in America, Anita continued to study the Nemean culture and became would become an expert on the subject.

A few years after meeting Anita gave birth to their one and only child, Avalon and that's where she was raised. The US east coast was a nice place to grow up and Avalon attended one of three schools that catered to the North American region. There were a few kids that were like her, not like the other kids, but they were still a small number. Not that it mattered much, school life was fun and Avalon never had a problem making friends.

She was a member of two different worlds though and while she was her mother's only child, she had several siblings from her father, all of whom were older than her. Nemeans lived longer than humans so the closet in age was her youngest older brother who was almost 50 by the time she had been born. Avalon was the apple of his eye though and her brother, Cassius, doted on her as much as their father did.

In the career area, Ava followed in her mother's footsteps and studied different groups of magical creatures. Growing up with half of her being apart of the Nemean world, she developed an open mind and an appreciation for the creatures that made up the magical world. She's also become a strong force to be reckoned with as an activist for laws pertaining to magical creatures.

So begins...

Kellen Grey

In the end, Kellen actually really enjoyed his night with Avalon. They had a lot of the same views...like how the world was a dangerous place. He'd nodded along with that one, taken another shot, because hell yeah he knew. He knew. He'd opened up a little more than he usually did, told her he was from Lexington and all the other countries he'd been to, which wasn't as much as he wished but still a decent number.

The question after that had sent him into laughing hysterics, and he'd simply offered her another shot but never actually ended it. The bartender cut them off long before he was actually interested in leaving, but he supposed it was probably a good thing. It'd been a good night though, and he'd simply laughed when they finally stumbled their way outside.

After that it was cabs and hotel rooms and finally saying goodbye, maybe sobering up a little bit after that, maybe thinking about just how beautiful she was. By the time he finally made it back to his bed for the night, he found himself actually missing her. He kind of hoped he'd see her again, but knowing Maxxie...well, he wasn't quite sure what would happen there.

While the night had been pleasant and fun, the morning...not so much. While Avalon could definitely hold her liquor, there had been way too much whiskey the previous night. By the time the bartender had cut them off, they had been well into their third bottle of the stuff. Adding in the bottle at the first place that the witch had almost finished on her own, there was no surprise to the sharp throbbing killing her head. Hangovers were not fun.

Ava hadn't even had time to think about Kellen, nope. She was too busy worshipping the porcelain god in the wee hours of the morning. There were spells that would fix all that up in a jiffy, but Ava was punishing herself. Mostly because a certain assinine auror had seen her in a relatively inebreated state. The suffering would be a reminder to not ever let an enemy (because that's what Max was) see her in such a pitiful state ever again.

It wasn't until around nine that an owl was pecking at the windowsill of the hotel she was staying at. She would have ignored it if every peck didn't send a mental nail into her skull. Casting a simple spell on herself that fot rid of the hangover, Avalon walked opened the window from her visitor. It landed on a chair, she took the letter, and it was off. Apparently she didn't need to reply.

The letter was from Penrose, a formal apology pertaining to how his staff conducting themselves and a request for her to go to a meeting at the ministry at noon. A sigh escaped the young woman at the thought of having to see Max again. He really just irked her.

Putting on her big girl pants though, she got herself into a proffesional state of being and at eleven she was off to the Ministry of Magic. When she arrived with time to spare, all she could hope for was that she'd have so much work to do she wouldn't really have to deal with her so-called partner.

Apologies. That's what awaited her when she had finally walked into Penrose's office. It was rather surprising, yet on one hand it wasn't. The tension had been so thick between her and Max that it was no wonder he had dropped the case. Hopefully that meant she'd be receiving a more professional and appropriate partner.

"No, I apologize as well." Avalon replied politely. It was only in common courtesy really. The young wizard also had one hell of a headache, somewhat resultant of her activities from the night before. No more fire whiskey for a long while.. Penrose also mentioned that it might take them a bit to find another suitable auror with an available opening, so in the mean time she'd have to work alone. This information Penrose emphasized that during her time alone, it would only be research related work.

Eventually she made it out of the man's office, closing the door behind her with a heavy sigh. She understood about wanting to keep international relations on the positive, but the man just wouldn't stop with the apologies and pleasantries. It was rather annoying and it kept Ava from doing some of the work related to the Lessinia case.

She made her way down the hall rather slowly. She was hoping to avoid Max considering his apparent termination from the assignment. Just as she was about to turn into the cubicle area where most of the aurors were stationed, a sensation travelled down the back of her neck. It was like a tickle, right at the base of where her neck met her shoulders. It stopped her in mid step.

Avalon slowly turned her head to see nothing. It was strange really, she didn't just get feelings like that for nothing. No, her Nemean blood heightened her sensitivity to a number of things. Almost like a sixth sense, she could feel ill magic.
