• Scars: Cass has a deep, jagged scar that crosses over his throat, even in his Nemean form it's visible as his fur doesn't grow back over it.

In his natural form, Cassius stands just shy of seven feet tall with pitch black fur and piercing yellow eyes. His body is very strong and muscular, very obvious in the appearance of both his legs and arms. His face is more feline than his sister's because he's a purebred Nemean, but like the majority of his kind he has no tail to speak of. The standard sharp fangs and elongated clawed hands are also something many take note of with their first sight of him.

When he shape shifts though, Cass appears as the typical boy next door. He's handsome with a square jaw and chiseled features and his six foot three frame is strong and toned. In both forms he keeps his dark hair cut short, though it shows more easily in his human form. The only 'flaw' that people would see on Cassius while he's in his human form is the large jagged scar across his neck.

PERSONALITY

Cassius is, in one word, charming. He's had a long time to deal with both his own kind and humans and is rather good in dealing with both. He has a talent in speaking and can be very persuasive when he wants to be. Cass is the type of person who could sell ice to an eskimo.

Unfortunately, he's a little lax when it comes to assimilating into human society. He grew up in a Nemean environment and doesn't see the need to change his actions when he's dealing with humans. This means that things like personal safe boundaries and intimate touches can be interpreted wrong. Cassius is very affectionate and it shows in his actions when he is particularly attracted to someone.

The Nemean male does have a strong sense of pride though. Family and culture are the two things that cannot be made fun of in his presence, especially if the person knows nothing about either. Nemean men fight to ear respect through various competitions and it isn't just given to someone because they come from a certain lineage. This is why when dealing with wizards or witches he can come off as disrespectful, especially towards proud pureblood families.

HISTORY

Marriage isn't a thing in Nemean society, life is so long for them that partners often change. This is why Cassius has many siblings from both parents. He has one fully related older brother, several siblings including Avalon from his father, and two other sisters from his mother. His childhood was very average and he grew up with both parents taking notice in what he was doing. Not that he did anything wrong.

Cassius found out very young that he was attracted to both genders and while there was no outright protest to same sex couples it was still something that wasn't meant to be advertised. When he was thirty he produced a daughter with one of his lovers and was a doting father, even if he was considered young to be having children.

By the time Cass was fifty, he had earned much respect with both his hunting skills and his fighting accomplishments in the arena. It was during this time when an angry competitor took a cheap shot after the match was over and slit his throat with his claws. It had been a close call, but thanks to medical attention and his natural healing abilities the wound healed albeit a large scar left in its wake.

When Avalon was born, like many in the community, Cassius was surprised that the union between the witch and his father had produced anything. Still, he spent much of his time doting on his only younger sibling. Even his daughter grew close to her much younger aunt. Ava's childhood had definitely been an interesting time for him.

Beyond his sibling, Cassius avoided the wizarding world as much as possible. There was no need to him to involve himself with them, instead viewing them like many others in the 'magical creature' community: humans with a superiority complex. He left the politics up to others like his father and sister and instead travelled once his sister grew into adulthood (at least by human standards).
