A family obsessed with demons and a woman abandoned by angels... Who'd have thought we'd work together.

ImageFull Name:
Echo Leona Visalius

Species:
Human
γ€€γ€€γ€€
Gender:
Female
γ€€γ€€γ€€
Age:
19

Spectral Arms:
Echo's spectral arm is a beautiful silver sword. It is a special type of Japanese origin known as the Katana, double edged and sharp on all sides. It can cut through thick and thin with no trouble at all.

ImageHair Color:
Echo's hair is a raven black. In some lights it appears to be almost navy, her hair is so dark and in others it takes on a bit of a gray tone. Echo chopped her hair short in the eighth grade and has kept it that way ever since. Long hair gets in the way, after all; you can't kill an enemy you can't see.
γ€€γ€€γ€€
Eye Color:
Echo's eyes are an impossibly dark blue, as though they were part of the deepest reaches of the ocean. Sometimes, in just the right light, you can catch them twinkling like sapphires.
γ€€γ€€γ€€
Height:
5'3, incredibly average.
γ€€γ€€γ€€
Weight:
105, oddly light for someone of her stature.

Tattoos/Piercings/Scars:
There is a giant X scar on her chest. Echo covers this up with shirts and bandages, she'll almost never adorn low cut tee shirts.
γ€€γ€€γ€€
General Description of Body Type:
Echo's appearance is often compared to that of a doll. She has milky white skin and a perfectly sculpted body with voluptuous curves that are soft and sharp in just the right places. Echo has never been a fan of her body, she has always seen it as imperfect, especially due to the large amount of scars on her chest and legs. The truth about those may never be revealed and she hopes to keep it this way. The major flaw Echo has that she will rarely discuss is that her right eye will occasionally begin to bleed.
As far as clothing goes Echo is none too picky, as long as it covers up her scars. She chooses to wear tight black stockings with the skirt of her uniform and knee high boots that lace up in the front. Echo has always thought that the many pockets of their jacket were a bit ridiculous and over the top looking so she requested a specially augmented coat that had the pockets only on the inside.

Personality:
{Responsible, Calculating, Cautious, Tight Lipped}
There is a lot of mystery surround Echo. Rather than speaking of it she will change the subject in an attempt to distract you from what you were previously asking. There is a lot of pain involved in Echo's past which is one of the reasons she refuses to discuss it. Any other subject she will speak freely about though, from politics to her favorite celebrities. Some see Echo as uptight, but most others seem to worship the girl as some sort of hunting Goddess that could do no wrong.

Likes:
  • Beer
  • Quiet Nights
  • Reading
  • Vacation
  • The Beach
Dislikes:
  • Dancing
  • Herself
  • Being Lied to
  • Broccoli
  • Burnt Rice

Strengths:
Sword fighting, knife throwing, hunting, cooking.

Weaknesses:
Lying, blood, large crowds, heights.

ImageHistory:
Echo was born a normal human, she lived in a small home with a poor family, the youngest of thirteen brothers and the only girl holding the Visalius name aside from her mother. Echo grew up both protected by them with a fierce passion and teased, often having pranks pulled on her by one of her elder siblings. Growing up in the slums, no one respected her parents and her family was often treated like dirt. It wasn't uncommon to hear her mother and father screaming at one another about financial troubles. They were crazy in love, but they could not afford fourteen children with another on the way. So Echo did the only thing she could think of, she got a job selling newspapers. From early in the day until late at night Echo would stand on the street corner of the upper class neighborhood, calling out the headline of the day and hoping someone would buy one of her papers. One day a man stopped in front of where she had set up for the day, smiling condescendingly and buying all of them. Echo was so excited, she returned home with a hundred dollar bill to show off proudly but her parents told Echo to keep it. She insisted they take it, she had gone out and earned it for them after all and reluctantly they accepted the money from their daughter.
The same event would repeat itself nearly everyday for a month, until the man showed up in an elegant carriage and offered his hand, saying that his money was in the car. Trusting her only customer, Echo naively climbed into the back seat, unknowing that she would only see her family one last time. They drove away, going to her house where Echo was forced to watch as each of her precious siblings were lined up and shot in the head. It was too much for a seven year old to watch and she collapsed into a puddle of tears, wondering why the man who had been so nice to her was killing the only people she cared about.
His henchmen carried Echo back to the car. Unfortunately killing her family was only the beginning of a very long five years. Little had Echo known, this man was one of them, one of the demon worshipers that had exchanged his soul for some crude ability. In exchange he had to taint as many souls as possible. Many things happened in the basement of that rich man, many things Echo will never speak of.
When she was finally rescued it was by a band of hunters who recognized her from the back of a milk carton. Echo could not go home though, there was no one left to wait for her, no one to smile and say "Welcome back." She did not want to return to the slums where her precious family was killed and so Echo begged the hunters to train her. She spent the next chapter of her life slaughtering those who dared to hurt innocents. The pent up fury Echo had slowly built over five years was mercilessly being released onto those who dared to align themselves with demons.
Echo quickly rose in rank, moving up among the hunters until word was received that the Calloways had been attacked and needed a replacement. It was then that she was sent to be the partner of the third eldest and it is there she has been ever since.

To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.

It was unusual for Echo to sleep through the night, normally her closed eyelids would be tinted with the shade of nightmares, the dying voices of her brother's and the cries of her mother and father as they were slain in front of her. Normally Echo would awake in a screaming fit, clawing at anything in reach and even scratching anyone who dared check up on the girl to see what all the fuss was about. Most anyone had learned to stay away from the room she occupied at night, to avoid going into her room lest they'd like to loose an eye. Tonight though, there were no visions of the past; instead her dreams were plagued by happy moments that Echo clung to desperately like a child who grabbed onto their mother's skirts so they would not get lost in market.

It was beautiful and unsettling.

Echo could hardly stomach it as she awoke to a foggy morning, sun fighting with clouds in order to pour in through the drawn shades of the window of the room she occupied. Echo did not consider this her room, none of these belongings were her's and so she'd never refer to them in the possessive sense, she liked to believe that everything was borrowed even if her initials were sewn into the pocket of her uniform shirt and her clothing were custom to her size. As the girl pushed the covers aside and strode over to the vanity she checked her arms for the marks she was accustomed to wrapping, the marring of nails in skin that tore her from the nightmares and spit her up into reality. Today there were none and yet despite this she chose to wear a long sleeved white button down shirt, the wheels in her mind reeling as Echo brushed her hair with a short, horse hair brush in order to remove the coarse knots from her scalp.

Once upon a time Echo's hair had been so long that even braided it would tickle her ankles. Now she found the femininity a bit of a hassle to keep up with and so she did not participate in the lavish female lifestyle. No, Echo had shorn her locks short in order to make the upkeep manageable. If anything it had been more of a symbolic gesture; she was finally being released from her past and with new life came new looks. Gone were the days of childish hair braiding and ribbon wearing, she was an adult with responsibilities and besides the fact it was really the only aspect Echo had control over. Her soul belonged to the hunter's, her life theirs to use or crush should they find or feel the need.

Echo tucked her shirt into the black skirt and zipped up her boots. Judging by the gloominess outside it was around breakfast and if Echo did not get downstairs soon then the new hunters would gobble down every last bite, leaving nothing for her. Rounding the spiral staircase Echo could hear the delightful chatter of people. She picked up her pace, reaching the dining hall only to see the tables were already packed. The hunter shook her head with a sigh and looked around, noticing a hand waving in her direction. Smiling with relief Echo made her way over to the table where the neighbors of her floor were seated, chatting delightfully about mundane things. The hand had belonged to Cheryl, one of the more senior hunter's who had sort of made it her mission to get Echo to open up to her. It wasn't working, but Echo was amused by Cheryl's attempts. She humored the girl really and the hunter made great company at the end of a long day when there was nothing to do but sit around and talk.

"If you don't hurry, you're gonna be late." The man to her left spoke, Niall. Eco waved him away with a shake of her right hand and lifted up the tea cup at her place. They had already made her a plate, which was unusual. "We figured since you hadn't been screaming last night it was best not to wake you," Niall spoke once more, a hint of a tease in his voice. "Thank you," Echo replied quietly and picked up her fork, warm tea already snaking its way through her belly. She finished quickly and stood, thanking the group once more for saving her a place and abandoning the cushy chair as she made her way out the door, quickly grabbing her coat from the rack and heading towards the Calloway residence where her partner, Aldwyn, lived.

She made it passed the gates of their residence and strode up to the door, knocking on the grand wooden doors that were so large they would easily intimidate a child.

L O C A T I O N ; Garden - Dinning Room - Foyer
C O L O R; #00688B
O O C; so I am on my bro's laptop writing and I didn't get to
use it for very long so there will be a few errors that I will
fix on Thursday.

Mornings came easy to Aldwyn, so much in fact that even before the sun broke the horizon one could see him walking in the garden with hands in pocket and eyes closed as he navigated though without stepping on anything. It's become a habit of his ever since he could remember, but if he had to pinpoint the exact day he would guess it started when the nightmares became more than just nightmares - they were reality. Not naturally scared of anything he took the hunters life in stride, ready to face whatever asshole creature that dare challenge him. That was however, before he really knew what fighting for your life meant.
He was naΓ―ve and while he didn't have rose tinted goggles he sure as hell didn't see the world as cruel yet. Aldwyn often wonders what his younger self would think of him now. Would he accept his fate, or try everything in his power to not become someone so terrible as he?

These were the thoughts that plagued his mind in the hours before dawn, it's as if with light it breaks a spell that he didn't even know he was under the influence of. No more thoughts of darkness or his past disturbed him as the first rays of the sun slowly came seeped over the horizon. Aldwyn was thankful for the rising, but he couldn't quite understand why he would wake up every he forced himself to wake up and walk until the sun saved him. Perhaps the nightmares were worse than his thoughts, and to forget about them he must walk them out. But, Aldwyn is thankful for that every morning he wakes up in cold sweat he cannot remember what he had dreamt of.

"Master Aldwyn, breakfast is being served!" called one of the workers who knew he had a penchant to the garden and he nodded in response - slowly walking over to the back side of the house and away ''from the fresh smelling flora.

"I believe the chef made Eggs Benedict today?" he asked following the maid down the long corridors and into the dining area. "Of course Master Aldwyn."

As he approached his siblings and his father a sense of dread filled him. He loved his family, but the only thing he seemed to have in common with any of them was their genetics and hunting abilities. Nothing has come up for today as of yet, so you and Matrim will be visiting a brothel near Reaver's Straight to gather information about one of the more frequent clients, whom we suspect has had dealing with Them. I'll have you take Emilio as well. The rest of you are free to do as you please. I'll be in my study." And so without even having begun his breakfast Aldwyn said good-bye to his father with distaste clear in his voice. "Let today be the day where young Emilio becomes a man in the face of women, and Matrim finally learns not to speak so brashly toward my kin." Aldwyn didn't smile but rather let his words try and agitate his brother's partner - but whether or not he did or didn't he was happy his little brother was finally going on a mission, to a brothel, but a mission nonetheless.

As he sliced into the egg on top of the muffin Aldwyn heard Moirae request of the three boys to not injure themselves. "That request may be unintentionally declined," and with that he finished the rest of his food silently until he heard a knock on the door, and seeing no one stand up to answer he did the honor. Beyond the wooden door he was greeted to the sight of his partner in all her glory. "Come in, I have something planned for today that requires absolute stealth."

Aldwyn moved to let her in and closed the door behind her, "Dear Emilio is going on a mission today with my brother and his partner to - of all things - a brothel. he couldn't help but snicker at the thought once more, "We're free to do whatever we want so I suggest we follow them. For educational purposes only. Aldwyn said the last part quickly knowing she would probably think his intentions to be impure because honestly he did't trust Matrim to keep Emilio safe and Lonan could be too focused on the task at hand to pay attention to his little brother.

Echo stood in the doorway, shifting her weight from foot to foot, her hands stuffed into the overly large pocket of her jacket uniform. It wasn't a particularly beautiful day, but then again it wasn't the worst weather she had seen. Clouds pocked the grayish sky, as puffy as sheep that had yet to be shorn. Echo was so taken with staring at the motif that she hardly noticed her partner standing in the doorway until he spoke. Quickly her head snapped downwards in attention, perhaps a bit too fast and she followed Aldwyn inside.

Upon hearing the details of today's expedition, Echo couldn't help but raise her eyebrows in question. a Brothel? Why in the world would Emilio of all hunters even be going close to such a place? To spoil his innocence at such a young age... "I don't see why not, as long as there's nothing of importance on the agenda." The way Aldwyn made it sound, it seemed as though they had no specific schedule for the day so they could do as they pleased. Which meant Echo had rushed over here for nothing.

This seemed to be a pattern as of late and while she should take this as a good sign, Echo couldn't help but feel that something was going to go terribly wrong within the next few days. Echo expressed this to no one though for fear that they would find she was just being overly cautious. The quietness of the Blighted Hearts was bothering her though and a chill ran up her spine thinking about the potential trouble they could cause.

"When do we leave?"
