Annie is just.. she's the kind of girl that makes an impression. She's hard to forget. If it isn't that sad, faraway look in her eye, it's that gorgeous long brown hair, or the way that you just want to make her smile. There's that sort of spark in her golden eyes sometimes, when you can see when she's delighted. But it's rare, and smiles come even less often. She's shy and reserved and seems like the most unhappy person ever. Though she isn't, it's just hard for her to express herself the way that other people do. Like she's afraid of being shot down, afraid that letting people in will only cause her to be hurt. It's never happened before though, no one has ever really hurt her. The most dramatic thing that has happened in her life is her dog dying when she was twelve, and her father abusing her- which still happens. Suppose it's the way she's always had her nose stuck in a book, happy living in the background rather than jumping out in the spotlight. Falling asleep to a playlist of Sleeping With Sirens and Black Veil Brides. Books don't have happy endings, people get hurt in those "lives", and she doesn't want to have to experience that.

What appears to be a normal twenty year old girl is not. Annie stands at four foot nine inches and weighs a little less than a hundred and ten pounds. The girl can eat, but she also exercises quite a bit. Every morning she wakes up an hour earlier than she should to run, to keep in shape. She isn't obsessed with it, and Sunday's she lets herself purge as much as she wants, but she still likes to look nice. She's like any normal girl really, desperately wishes she could be a boy and act like one, but does enjoy looking nice and having boys telling her she's pretty. Though she isn't obsessed with such either, and doesn't mind rolling around in the mud every once in awhile. Her caramel brown hair reaches past her shoulders and is almost always straight, there is though the rare day that she won't feel like straightening it and it'll appear a curly mess. Her eyes are the same color as her hair, though they occasionally change to a golden-like color. She only has two tattoos, an infinity symbol on her thumb and the Deathly Hallows symbol on her wrist.

Annie's primary mode of living is focused internally, where she deals with things rationally and logically. Her secondary mode is external, where she take things in via her five senses in a literal, concrete fashion. Annie has a compelling drive to understand the way things work. She's good at logical analysis, and like to use it on practical concerns. Typically having strong powers of reasoning, although she's not interested in theories or concepts unless she can see a practical application. She likes to take things apart and see the way they work. Annie has an adventuresome spirit. She is attracted to motorcycles, airplanes, sky diving, surfing, etc. She thrives on action, and is usually fearless. Annie is fiercely independent, needing to have the space to make her own decisions about their next step. She does not believe in or follow rules and regulations, as this would prohibit her ability to "do her own thing". Her sense of adventure and desire for constant action makes her prone to becoming bored rather quickly. Although she does not respect the rules of the "System", she follows her own rules and guidelines for behavior faithfully. She will not take part in something which violates her personal laws.

Annie likes and needs to spend time alone, because this is when she can sort things out in their minds most clearly. She absorbs large quantities of impersonal facts from the external world, and sort through those facts, making judgments, when she is alone. Annie is an action-oriented person. She likes to be up and about, doing things. She won't sit behind a desk all day and do long-range planning. Adaptable and spontaneous, she responds to what is immediately before her. She usually has strong technical skills, and can be as effective technical leaders. She does not pay attention to her own feelings, and even distrust them and try to ignore them, because she has difficulty distinguishing between emotional reactions and value judgments. This may be a problem area for her. When she is over-stressed, she may exhibit rash emotional outbursts of anger, or on the other extreme may be overwhelmed by emotions and feelings which she feels compelled to share with people (often inappropriately). When down on herself she will foray into the world of value judgments - a place which is not natural for the her - and judge herself by the inability to perform some task. Quinn will then approach the task in a grim emotional state, expecting the worst. But Annie is excellent in a crisis situations. She is good at following through with a project, and tying up loose ends.

Annie Ender

Her hair was in a loose plait, which she had done the previous night after showering so it would be easy to manage in the morning. Turns out it was a good choice, and when she brushed through it it was left with a gently wave and there were still streaks of dark brown from it being wet, but she didn't mind. Picking out an outfit was easy too, very light pink distressed skinny jeans and a cute white, sleeveless top that was held up by her chest- she would have to remember not to slouch when she sat that day, didn't want to accidentally flash anyone.

Surprisingly, she left her room sort of happy, even though her feet were killing in the black and tan sandals she wore. Maybe she was dressed up a little bit to impress her best friend, or even get some extra tips, who knew what other boys would decide to take a liking to her? Either way, it was a huge change from her usual hoodie-and-hottopic-jeans default, which would probably be what she was outfitted in for the rest of the year. And it wasn't like she had the most attractive attitude either, so she didn't understand why she had had so much luck with guys in the past. It must have been the rare days that she did wear nice things, or just that she was a total bitch and "hard to get", as she had been told. Suppose she was though, but she had no idea why that was a turn-on for some guys. Annie wasn't even at the diner yet when she pressed call on her cell, not knowing if her best friend was there already or not.

Annie hadn't been in a relationship that lasted any longer than a few weeks, maybe a month if they were especially entertaining. It wasn't really a flaw, at least she didn't count it as one, though she knew she had a lot of them. Instead she just saw it as... She hadn't found the right one yet, hadn't found someone that she actually wanted to make a relationship work with. For now then, she was happy with just messing around a bit, having fun while she could. More often than not it was the guy that left her, since she didn't ever try very hard in a relationship. That's sort of how she was in all aspects of her life though- friendships, work, school. People either figured it out and learned to deal with it, or decided she wasn't worth their time. As for school, people had always told her that she could have probably graduated as valedictorian if she had actually tried, but she hadn't- hardly ever did her homework. It didn't matter to her though, it never had, but after her father died she had become less and less concerned with certain affairs. Especially relationships, she hadn't "dated" anyone in a few months.

As for her relationship with her best friend though, she really had no idea how he put up with her at all. They seemed like, no they were, complete opposites. Annie just wanted to have fun most of the time and he seemed to have a stick up his ass half the time. Somehow they made it work though, balanced each other out or maybe just drove each other crazy. The first few months she had known him though, she wouldn't let him see her unless she was at her best, maybe searching for some sort of approval from him. Even if he always complimented her and was there to help whenever she needed it, she was pretty sure he was like that for most people and wanted something else. After realizing she wasn't going to get that though, she sort of stopped trying, letting him see her in sweats and when her hair wasn't done, even without make-up. Anyone who knew Annie would agree when she said she was complex, more so than most females combined. Within minutes she could change her mind about something, but she would still fight that she was right even if she knew she was wrong. And while most people tried for something they wanted, she sort of expected it to be given to her, and if it wasn't she forgot about it. Had this talent of being incredibly emotionally detached from most situations.

Her cell started vibrating a few moments later, and she looked down at it with a scowl after pulling it away from her ear. Her best friend had picked up and hung up without her noticing, and she had just gotten a text from Leah informing her of a party at eight. She typed a quick message as she walked into the diner, then threw her phone in the bin- where it would stay until break.

I'll be there.

...and she was, later that night at about nine- late, but only because of work -and dressed in a cute black and red dress.
