Body smuggler. Water bird. Throat cutter. Nyx.
A credit to her race, her exceptional cunning and wit shine through at the most opportune moments. She can talk her way out of any situation. Yet she rather use her dagger to settle a feud. For someone so young, 19, she is quite serious and knows the danger of being what she is. Time is precious to her and she doesn't use it blabbering on about how she feels. As stated before, her eyes give her away. No one is made of ice, no matter how much Fatima wishes to be. As a child, she was told of the glorious Regals and she longed to be one. Now her childhood aspirations cause her to feel obligated to help them. Even so, her respect is earned, not given. A rare bird indeed.
- She hates jokes.
- Also hates surprises.
- Quick to judge.
- Adores Nyx babies.
- A dagger with a ruby in the hilt
- A map of the kingdom
- Old, worn letters
- Dried food
Her story is the story of hundreds. She remembers the day the Ferals turned on her people. The sky rained blood that day as so many tried to take flight but were shot down within mere moments. Fatima tasted blood that wasn't hers. Most of her memories of that nightmare are repressed. The child Nyx died that evening and someone afraid to let go was born in her place.
Fatima left the mainland due to the luck of being mistaken for a Circa, her vivid blue eyes being the culprit. Across the sea, she looked back at the world left behind and wondered how many were dying on the shores and in the skies. Her grandmother's voice haunted her, recounting the story of the Ancients. It wasn't right to turn her back on such a history, such a race.
From that day, she took to the occupation as a smuggler, one of the best in business. Her job introduced her to the Prince's search party. A Nyx with avid knowledge of the mainland, she offered her help in finding the Regals in question. The child once forgotten came to life briefly for a moment. The stories were true. And there was a chance she could meet one of the fabled. A childhood dream come true.
Until the war is over and all the people are restored to their rightful place, Fatima Keet will not rest or relent.
