Name: Lance Alvers

Appearance: Lance has short black hair and a black beard. When out of costume, he wears blue jeans, black shoes, and a black shirt, preferring not to wear the brown vest and black fingerless gloves that he wore as a teenager. When in costume, he wears a black body suit with metal boots, gloves, and a cuirass. Over his face is a glass dome that looks like a fish bowl cut in half. Occasionally, he will wear something different, and may don his vest and gloves again someday.

Gender: Male

Personality: Lance used to be a hot-headed and rebellious teenager, ready to fight at a moment's notice. Now older and wiser, he is often calm and collected. When angered, however, flashes of his old self will appear. When around Kitty Pryde, or Shadowcat, he becomes very polite and sweet. He is in love with her and desires a reunion, but doesn't know when that will be.

Powers: Lance has the ability to cause earthquakes at will. By channeling seismic force through his body, he can create earthquakes that can either be shaky or devastating. He can also channel earthquakes through the air. By placing his hands to the ground, he can also manipulate the earth, causing it to rise or fall as he desires.

Strengths: Avalanche is a born leader. He is intelligent and calculating, as well as tough and skillful as a fighter. He is a loyal and trustworthy teammate, and follows his orders to the letter. He pays much homage to Magneto. Also, he could bring down an entire city in five minutes

Weaknesses: Lance can be shot or stabbed to death. Psychic attacks or the types of attack used by Rogue can knock him unconscious. The glass is not much protection for his face, so a hard enough shot can break it and hot him. Lance's biggest weakness, however, is his love for Kitty Pryde. If she is put in danger, he can be stopped immediately, as he will bargain for her safety. He also cannot bring himself to harm her, and if she passes through him as if through a wall, she would be the only person to knock him out without a fight. All of his strengths are also subject to change under the right conditions.

Alliance: Magneto's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, though since he is not truly evil, there is always a chance that he could defect to the X-Men.

Personality: Lance owns and drives an old Army jeep with a cage that he got from one of his caring foster fathers as a sweet sixteen present. Toad perches on the cage and snaps up flies, while the reinforced chassis allows Blob to sit in the passenger seat while Avalanche drives. They are all three great friends, through and through.
