I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner.
I believe in kissing, kissing a lot.
I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong.
I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls.
I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles."

Favourite...

Country?

Britain, of course! That's where all the lovable British people come from! :D She also has a strange liking for Canada... even though it's only season is Winter most of the time.

Song?

Audrey prefers to listen to the oldies. Like, way back. We're talking about 1930s and 1940s music where everyone sung on Broadway. She really does hate the music they put on the radio now these days; the music where it is all computer and no real singing and just a punch of random garbage. She doesn't know any of todays top singers and defiantly doesn't know any of the famous rock bands! So don't ask what her favourite band is!

Movie?

Breakfast At Tiffany's was always her favourite. Judy Garland movies aren't so bad either. Maybe some of those movies set back then, like Back to the Future or some of the funnier ones... like Sixteen Candles.

Decade of the 1900's?

1920s, defiantly.

Season?

Summer. Getting out in the sun and getting a nice, natural tan was always on the list of things-to-do every Summer.

Animal?

Koala! They are cute and fluffy and so hugable. X3

Color?

A pale pink. Not too bright and not too dull.

Celebrity?

She’s always had a bit of a crush on Hugh Jackman… but don’t tell anyone!

Food?

All shapes and different flavors of pastries! She doesn’t really care what kind they are… she’ll eat it.

Smell?

She’s always liked the smell of peaches. Whether it’s in a lotion, perfume, or just the fruit.

Personality

Audrey is a bright, energetic and athletic high-school student. Many male students consider her attractive. She alternates between melancholy and incredible optimism, often unpredictably. Audrey is indeed stubborn and doesn't like to admit her mistakes, usually blaming other people. Also, she gets angry very easily, being an egotistical, irascible and impulsive person. Her behavior is considered eccentric, and she has little interest in her fellow campers. Though Audrey's personality may be described as overpowering, it's useful to say the least. Audrey has a knack for convincing others to do what she wants.

Audrey shows a little bit of self-centeredness, she is often seen bullying her members into agreeing with her many ridiculous ideas. Audrey has a very competitive personality, and accepts any challenge that she comes across without hesitation, regardless of difficulty or time constraint. Her constant optimism and over-confidence causes others to view her as arrogant. While she is competitive and quite intelligent, her brashness leads to her being unable to make tactical decisions, and she often rushes head first into anything that she considers a worthy challenge. She has impossibly high standards, and won't accept anything less than perfection from herself.

Audrey seems to enjoy being the center of attention. Audrey also does her best to show no signs of weakness, the few times that she shows signs of vulnerability are when she's alone with someone she trusts.

Audrey also has an inferiority complex and a short temper. She is sarcastic, cynical, and prideful, but she is actually a good person inside. Because she is misunderstood, people don't see that she is shy and easily in love with others.

Audrey is the totally fixated with imagination. If this goes unchecked, she may be criticized as being an escapist or an idealist (not that she gives a damn) and run the risk of becoming hurt when they can no longer ignore the reality of a situation. However, Audrey's ability to play make-believe is a coveted asset most adults forsake when they enter the work force and wish they could somehow maintain with an ease comparable to that which they seem to possess. Audrey, under her fake façade, is highly emotive, usually considering relationships with either a romantic partner or friends as they go about the day.

Furthermore, Audrey is a dreamer (explains why she always gets lost in the books she is reading); when she is not thinking in terms of what could be, she is adding some fantastical details to an already pleasant situation in her mind. To her, everything is fascinating and has the possibility of being highly exciting. She never relinquishes their ability to imagine as a child.

At first glance it may seem as though nothing really bothers Audrey but under further scrutiny it will be revealed that she is highly sensitive. She cares deeply about her relationships with others. And although sometimes criticized as traveling through a haze, her attachments to others seem to mean the world to them. Generally, she doesn't like small talk and will often invent stories or offer off-kilter input to keep a conversation interesting.

Audrey retains her modesty (sometimes). She is graceful and "clean", yet chooses to talk to ordinary people. However, her cool and lone demeanor often forces her to hide her personal troubles, even from her friends. Audrey hardly ever opens up her heart, and has difficulty making friends. So she puts on the stubborn and bitch façade. She is clueless as well. She is very good at acting, having acted her way through a number of tough situations, such as getting out of trouble with school teachers.

History

Audrey grew up as an only child to Chelsea and William Mortenson. She was born sixteen years ago on a rainy afternoon. Her parents were delighted, even though they were hoping for a son. The rich couple decided that they would only go on with one child. Her father made a lot of money and they British family lived in a big home. Audrey grew up to look like her mother... and to also have her attitude. She was nothing like her father, and that's what made her be loved more by her parents. Her father wasn't the greatest of men. He was greedy and selfish but still loved his family with all his heart.

Audrey grew up in a good family and went to a good school. She wasn't exactly smart, but wasn't exactly dumb either. She was average... which was good enough for her. She has made lots of friends at her school.. before her family decided it was time to move. Time to move out of Britain. Her father had gotten a new job down in Arizona, one that paid more then his former job. Audrey wasn't too thrilled to be moving to a completely new country... where everyone had American accents... but she was happy to be going somewhere new and was excited for change. So they moved when Audrey was ten down to America.. and have been living there ever since.

Location | Currently in the car; on the way to camp.

Blurs of green and blue appeared out Audrey's car window. It looked like someone took their hand and wiped it all over a perfect painting and made it look like a blob. It looked like she was standing in the middle of the world, with no one around her, and the world was spinning faster and faster around her. It looked like everything was moving too fast, and Audrey couldn't set her focus on one thing out the window because it would be gone too quickly. Things were defiantly going too fast...

"Audrey! Would you listen to me when I am talking to you?"

Audrey's focus quickly snapped back to her mother, who was now yelling at her in frustration with that thick British accent of hers. Audrey looked back to her mother, who was sitting right next to her in the front of the car, from the window. She sighed heavily, telling her mother that she was listening.

"Would you please get your feet off the dashboard?" Her mother said simply with a heavy sigh herself. Audrey rolled her eyes before taking her crossed legs off the front of the car and setting them back down and sliding her yellow flip-flops back onto her small feet.

"I have long legs, mom. I need somewhere to put them." Audrey complained. Her mom gave out a chuckle before glancing over at Audrey. "Hon, you're barely five feet tall. I'm sure you will manage." Her mother said back... and the statement was true. Audrey rolled her eyes once again, not wanting to start an argument. Audrey was, indeed, a short one. But she always blamed that on her 'short torso'... thinking she had the long legs...

"Okay, we're almost there. Got everything?" Her mother asked as she turned down the road with that darn big sign. Camp Liberty. Now, Audrey isn't saying she hates camp here, but she doesn't love it either. In fact, she'd rather be wasting her summer away, shopping everyday then go to camp. She always had trouble making friends, especially at camp. Everyone was either a tomboy or just didn't want anything to do with Audrey. Good times.

Audrey nodded her head in reply to her mother, taking her sunglasses off of her hat on top of her head and putting them on while putting her purse over her shoulder. She wiped her [already] sweaty forehead with the back of her hand, dreading the more sweat to come as they got closer and closer to the camp. So close that Audrey could now see all the small buildings and such.

"Don't worry, Aud. It'll be a blast!" Her mother exclaimed as she parked the car into a parking spot. Audrey didn't say anything in return to her mother as she opened the door and exited the car. Her mother came out shortly after to help Audrey collect her bags from the trunk. Her mother walked over to the back and opened the trunk quickly. She reached her hand out to grab Audrey's suitcase, but Audrey got there first. She quickly snatched the bag up out of the trunk and put it on the ground.

"Well, I think that's it." Her mother said while Audrey adjusted the handle on the suitcase so she could easily drag it along behind her. She then looked up at her mother. "I think so." She said as she gave her mother a soft smile. Her mother then came in for the hug. She wrapped her scrawny arms around Audrey's back and gave her a squeeze with a sigh.

"Okay, mom." Audrey said as she awkwardly stood there, looking like a limp doll standing up. Sure, she was used to boys giving her hugs, but not her parents. She didn't really know how to return an affectionate hug, so she just stood there and waited until her mother released her and took a step back.

"I love you. Tell Dad I say I love him as well." Audrey said as she began slowly walking away from her mother while still looking back at her. "I will! Have fun! Make lots of friends!" Her mother said as she waved her hand goodbye to her daughter. Audrey gave a small wave and smile back before turning away and beginning to walk up to the room where all the campers will get their activity groups. She already could sense that this was going to be one hell of a trip. She just hoped she could make some friends and have some fun...

Audrey scanned her eyes around the camp area first, and realized that there were some bags placed up against the cabin doors. Well, now she knew people were already here and that she could just go and drop off her bags. She quickly took a sharp turn to the pink cabin, where she saw some bags already placed up against the door.

Once she got to the pink cabin, she placed her suitcase up against the door and practically dropped her heavy purse on top of it. She sighed in relief as she rolled her sore shoulder back that was already hurting from her heavy purse she'd been carrying around for no more then five minutes. She quickly scanned her eyes around again before they landed on the main building where the list of activity groups were placed. She hurriedly made her way over there, her flip-flops making their usual loud smacking noise against the wood as she ran.

It didn't take too long for Audrey to arrive. She quickly opened the door quietly and made her way inside. That's when her brown eyes landed on Ms. Boyle. She smiled as she made her way over to the woman.

"Ms. Boyle, Audrey Mortenson?" Audrey smiled as she took off her sunglasses and placed them back up on top her red hat again. She sure hoped the question made sense. She was trying to ask her which group she was in... but in a more shorter version...

"Oh, Audrey! I am pretty sure you are in Activity Six with the others. Here, let me get you the list." Ms. Boyle said as she quickly handed her the list of the group and what activities were going on today. Audrey's eyes scanned over the list, before her eyes landed on one name and her smile altered a bit. Nate Goravich. More like Nate Gorabitch. She honestly felt like asking Ms. Boyle if that guy still had a massive pole stuck up his ass, but she bit back the remark and smiled again back up at Ms. Boyle.

"Okay, thank you." She said as she headed over to the media room where everybody was. She walked into the room, some people already looking bored and some others already chit-chatting with each other. She suddenly felt so small in this room with all these people, but she straightened her back and looked forward. She did see some familiar faces, so that was a good sign. Right?

"Hello, everybody." Audrey said in that British accent of hers loudly, always having to make a first appearance, as she waved her hands around. She sighed as she took her hat off and placed in down on a nearby table and quickly took her sunglasses off and placed them down on the hat in a huff. She straightened out her blonde ponytail with her hand, feeling the soft curls throughout her fingers as she did so.

"Ugh, I have to pee. Where is the washroom?" She asked nobody in particular as she began roaming away from the group to go find the restroom. She didn't mean to be already avoiding everyone, but she half did have to go to the restroom and half... well, was avoiding everyone... for now...

"How long until we get there?" Emily asks, not really directed at anyone as she keeps her attention on her phone reading texts from all her friends. Her mom in the front seat answers her question, "It is just over the hill." The sunlight streams in through the sunroof, Emily looks up for a brief moment only enough to see the treetops glistening. She smiles before returning back to her phone. This is the thing that Emily loves so much about Camp Liberty, the peace. Because where there is peace, there is Emily to ruffle up the feathers. Of course she loves to see all of her friends from around the country but there is also some others that call to the Camp during Summer. Others that she would see broken under her luxury heels. Emily finds that she would be compared to a goddess, of course she would never tell that to anyone but she sometimes considers herself one. Helping those in need, especially if it is a crime of fashion, being kind, compassionate, beautiful, are all features of a goddess.

Emily smirks at the thought of seeing Oliver again. Ever since last time at Camp, Emily has been dead set in love with the hottie. Yet, with all her popularity and power within the camp he has never really talked to her, he hasn't noticed her. Which is strange because everyone notices Emily, whether for good cause or not. A memory seems to creep back into Emily's mind, causing her to remember what had happened to her at the age of 10.

Darkness shrouds around her, it is like she is in a bottomless pit of doom which she will never escape. It is cold to, the only thing keeping her warm in the pink dressing gown that is now probably stained from the darkness. I don't want to speak, I don't want to wake the sleeping tiger that is my kidnapper. I don't know why this is happening to me, why do I have to suffer from terror. Maybe it is because of my dad, he is a important politician after all. But why take his adopted daughter? What will taking a fragile girl do? Maybe this person wants to kill me, I do not know. I may never see sunlight ever again, I will die; without a family.

A single tear streaks down Emilys cheek, she wipes it off quickly and turns her attention to the Camp that is coming into view. Good memories come from this place, fond memories shared with friends. It is good to be back. . .And this year, Pink will win. The expensive silver car comes to a stop in the parking lot, Emily gets out of the car and puts her phone in her pocket. Her 'parents' get out of the car. Her father getting her pink suitcase from the trunk while Emily hugs her mom, "Now you just call and we will come straight away," her mom says, before stepping back with dad. "I know, I know. I will be fine" I reassure them, as I take the handle of the suitcase. My dad pats me on the shoulder and smiles before getting into the car with my mother, I step onto the pathway and wave as they disappear off into the trees, leaving only a cloud of smoke. I turn around and make my way to the Pink Cabin. It isn't that far away from the main building that sticks out like a sore thumb in the forest. My heels click across the stone pavement, the only time I regret my shoe choice. Yet I brave on and come to the door of my cabin. Various suitcases are already here, from the various material and colour choice Emily can already tell that Aria and Audrey are here. Without another second Emily places her suitcase in front of the cabin door and makes her way to the main building.

Lifting her sunglasses onto her head Emily strides confidently into the building, catching the attention of those still waiting in the line. That does not apply to Emily as she walks straight up to the desk and notices Ms. Boyle, "Hi Ms. Boyle, how is the bestest woman in Camp doing? Is it all right if I can find out what Activity Group I am in?" The woman gives Emily a great big smile and gives her the activity group schedule, "Emily, you are in Activity Group 6 honey pie. Now get to the Media room, everyone would want to see how fabulous you have gotten!" Emily gives Ms. Boyle a wave and a smile before striding down the hall again. Over the years Emily has been here at the Camp she has warmed up to Ms. Boyle a lot, well everyone has really, she is probably the nicest person on the planet. As I am about to reach my destination I begin to count down in my head, wanting the perfect intro. One. . .Two. . .Three! Reaching the Media room, Emily opens up the doors and opens up her arms into mid-air with a pearly white smile on her face, "Emily Willis is in the HOUSE everybody!"

Eddie grinned as his best friend turned around and squeezed him. He was more than happy to see Molly right now. Despite what he'd gone through today, she seemed to make everything better. And for a moment, he had even forgotten that his face was marked with the violence he experienced at home. Looking down at her she looked just as fresh and young as she did last year. Though he was sure that she had read a thousand books and knew most everything from heart surgery to greek mythology. Eddie had always admired the way that Molly just read and read and never stopped. He wasn't like that. Sure, he loved reading, but he didn't have the patience to read nonstop.

Molly reached up to his face, and Eddie soon remembered that indeed he was marked with a black eye. He lowered head and said in a low voice, "It's fine, Molly. I'm here now." He didn't want to talk about this right now. After all, while he was at camp all he had to worry about was his mother and his current affairs. His father couldn't hurt him from here. That's why Camp Liberty was his haven. He was safe here, safe and free. He took his own hand to guide hers away from his face and shrugged his shoulders. "There's nothing you can do now." Eddie tried to remain cool and collected as he avoided the obvious. If Eddie were really to talk about his relationship with his father he would get angry. And Eddie rarely became angry at camp, he wasn't even sure if Molly had seen him in all his heat.

When Eddie was angry, it was like he was a whole different person. He had very little sense of reason and saw only in black, white and read. Right, wrong, and violence. As much as he didn't want to admit that he like his father in that way, he was. That's why Eddie tried hard to avoided being steamed up to begin with. A lot of times Eddie would just walk away from a situation. In fact, he was known for walking out of conversations, competitions and more at Camp Liberty.

Finally with the subject changed he smiled once again. "I missed you too, Molly." He didn't want to say that the school year was hell without her, but it really was. Sure, he had called her here and there, and texted her every now and again, but it was nothing like actually seeing and talking to her. He laughed at her comment about his poem.

"It was an inspired moment." he joked. While speaking to Molly he had noticed a girl who had come in, announced herself but got little response. He was blonde and remarkably British. Eddie smiled thinking about the times that he and his family had visited Britain. His father had been doing business, and to be honest those were the best kind of family vacations. Really was just Eddie and his mom while his father was off making more money. Eddie took a moment to help the girl and said "The bathroom's down the hall, to the right." He smiled at her and then said "Oh, I'm Eddie Andrews, by the way."

Taste was subjective, but Ariadne liked Breaking Bad, and it was miles better than anything on at the moment. The episode she was watching turned out to be one of the most dramatic, taking twists and turns at every corner. Connor, although he didn't watch much of the show, liked what he saw, and that was enough for his attention to be drawn to the screen. Nate, however, was brooding in his quiet corner of the opposite sofa. Lost in thought, Ari could almost see the gears whirring erractically in his head. It's fair to say Nate was never her favorite guy at camp, especially now as some of the odd mannerisms he carried reminded her of Liam.

"Hey, gorgeous" A voice that meant familiarity to her sounded, and she couldn't help but smile. It was real, she knew, for her mood lifted and the smile didn't cut into her cheeks so. She saw Lacey, her best friend, open her arms and she grabbed her into a hug.

"Lacey, you have no idea how much I missed you!" She gushed, words flowing like the river that surrounded the camp. "I was almost ready to get the plane to Arizona."

"You like Breaking Bad? It was the only thing on-" Ari paused to glance at the screen, but realised it had turned to commercials now. "Well, I guess it's finished."

The Media room filled with faces both recognized and unrecognized, chatter filling the room to the brim with inside jokes and friendly banter. If it wasn't for hill-walking, she'd be excited for what the day would hold.

But, as always, something brought her from the clouds to her personal hell.

"Hello, and welcome to the news for today. Our first story, a new chapter in the unfolding mystery of the shooting at Montgomery High School, Colorado."

Her head snapped back to look at the TV once more. It was a woman, blonde, immaculately dressed, polished and pretty.

"Disturbing videos have been uncovered from the shooter's rooms, explaining to a camera why they would later go on to shoot sixteen people and then themselves in a previously unexplained massacre."

"We cannot show the full video due to legal reasons, but here is an excerpt."

The screen changed to the sickeningly recognized faces of her friends Nick Holland and Liam Howell. They seemed to be sitting in Liam's bedroom. Nick. With his usually innocent goofy smile, coppery hair and freckles, was smirking and Liam, with curly dark hair and perpetually widened pale green eyes was holding a shotgun, twirling in between his hands.

Liam spoke first, "Sorry to Mark and Dan. We used them to get us the guns. Don't arrest them, don't arrest fucking anyone. Friends, family, co-workers, they had no clue. It was all us."

Nick spoke next, "Yep, sorry Mom and Dad for any shit this might bring your way. You are good people, I hope you know it. Sorry friends. Especially Ari, I know how much this will hurt you.

The scene cut to the inside of Nick's car. Seemingly, the camera had been placed on the dashboard.

"It's only half an hour to our little judgement day. It's kind of weird knowing I'm going to die today, but a relief. Of course I will miss things. But you deserve what comes to you." Nick was scarily indifferent as he spoke.

"I just want some of you to know, and you know who you are- that I will get you. Find you. Rip off your damn head, get a shotgun and shove it so far up your ass, bullets will be shooting out your neck! You worthless pieces of crap! Do you know how long I've stood here and took shit from you- jocks, popular kids,- you criticize my face, my hair, the shirts I wear? This rage has built up and you'll pay. You'll all pay. The human race is stupid."

Nick didn't seem taken aback from Liam's outburst. He just took a gun from his coat and motioned shooting.

"Bye. See you on the other side." Nick chuckled, turning off the camera.

You see your face through this vague bubble of people. A slip of the eye, an illusion. You're not there. And her mind snaps from this temporary trance that she stumbled into involuntarily. Daydreams morph back into solid reality. Nothing about hearing "I'm terribly sorry" gets any easier, no matter how many times it tumbles into your head.

The scene cut to a zoomed in picture of their class yearbook photo, Ari smiling to the camera with her arm around Nick. Liam was at the other side, arms crossed back to back with another of his friends, Mark. Another picture flashed on the screen as the woman drawled on. It was another of Ari, obviously they were trying to make a point. It then switched to something more horrific. The surveillance videos from inside the school library. Liam and Nick strolled through the Library as if they were gods. By now, the students hid under tables. There was sound in the surveillance cameras, she could hear their voices again.

"Peekaboo!" Liam laughed, looking under a table. One gunshot. Two. Three.

"This is so cool!" Nick practically bounced, pointing his gun to the ceiling and shooting for fun. "Hope your all having fun! I know I am" He taunted.

Ari spoke loudly before it could go any further. "Turn it off! Please, turn it off."

Adam, the supervisor, reacted quickly, switching the TV off. The black nothingness comforted her, but whats done was done. She should have switched it on when mentioned, but the shock had paralysed her. Their voices. So familiar but not comforting.

"I'm sorry." Her voice was hoarse, eyes on the edge of tearing up. She took a deep breath. "I'm fine, though."

"If you're sure you're okay, we could go on with what was planned?"

"Sure." She nodded, lips pressed tightly against one another, embarrassed for creating a scene.

"Okay everyone, introduction time. I'm going to go round everyone, say your name, color, and three things you like. Go."

"I'm Ariadne Brooks, I'm in Pink, and I like good books, singing, and my friends." She looked at Lacey once more, giving a fleeting smile.

When people were little, they always had the fascinating, larger-than-life dreams, Connor wanted to learn how to fly. It seemed like such a good thing for someone to be able to do. When he wanted to get away, all he had to do was flap his wings and soar away. There was nothing that could break him. It would have just been himself, the clouds, and the sun, but he never learned. The kid that wanted to be an astronaut went missing when he was only ten.

His entire life has been subjected to receiving terrible news. He can't remember hearing the words his father did that sent him over the edge "We're terribly sorry but your wife didn't make it" but he imagines they were complimented with "But she tried. She fought" (Not that that made him want to care anyway, it's like both of his parents died that day. Cancer killed them both - but it just took his father a little longer to wither away.) Even hearing "I'm sorry Connor, but your getting put to Juvenile diversion for drug dealing" ended with him coming to Camp Liberty

~

Connor really didn't know what was happening on this show.

Okay, a few things he did know.

1) There is a bald guy with glasses. He looks cool. He is a drug dealer/chemistry teacher/what?

2) Meth.

3) This was surprisingly similar to his drug-dealing days. Except for the dying/killing part. He's still alive.

4) What?

I mean, the bald guy with glasses did look cool, so he might have to check the show out. Breaking Bad, he thought it was. Wait, what is that title? Why is he breaking bad? What is bad? Is he breaking Nate? In all seriousness, Ari looked really into what was happening on the show, but Connor had no clue. Nate was just being... Nate.

"Hello there! Why didn't you tell me you got here?" It was Lilliana, one person he really wanted to see right now. "Missed you."

"Greetings and salutations!" He laughed, stealing a kiss on her cheek. "I was on the bus. Long story short, I feel asleep from green fog and kinda, sorta forgot you were here... sorry."

"You ever seen..." He paused to think of the title of the TV programme, "'Breaking Bad?' I have no idea what's going on, but it seems pretty cool."

He noticed that a couple people came in. He'd hardly say nameless, anonymous faces, with secrets he didn't know and stories he didn't care to delve deep into. Luckily, most, were friends, acquaintances, haters, people of that sort. Of course, there must of been one or two to slip between the cracks of what was Connor Tanabe, but they were either new or, simply didn't really cross paths with the boy. Poor souls. He recognized most, namely, Lacey- who gave a hello, which he waved back to- Oliver, Avelyn, Eddie, Coby, Molly, Destiny, Daniel ... Grayson. He rolled his eyes in distaste. His hater was officially here, but at least considerably far away, and talking to someone else.

"Yep, sorry Mom and Dad for any shit this might bring your way. You are good people, I hope you know it. Sorry friends. Especially Ari, I know how much this will hurt you.

The boy was about to turn to Ari to tell her she was famous, but he noticed what was on the television. It was two boys, one freckled and short, the other curly haired and tall. One held in his hand and sawn off shotgun twirling through his fingers. He realised what the situation was. Ari looked somewhere between shocked and disgusted, but she seemed paralysed.

He began to watch the TV intently.

"It's only half an hour to our little judgement day. It's kind of weird knowing I'm going to die today, but a relief. Of course I will miss things. But you deserve what comes to you." The freckled one spoke about dying as if it was an eternal weekend. It was creepy.

Connor's eyes widened at the curly haired boys outburst.

"Bye. See you on the other side." The freckled boy took a gun from his pocket and motioned shooting at the camera, before turning it off.

Before Connor knew it, pictures of Ari and the two boys flashed on the screen. It was odd seeing someone he knew with... killers. They looked normal in the pictures. Too normal. Then there was a surveillance video from inside Montgomery high, slightly bad quality but he could still make out the two boys walking calmly through the school library, peeking under tables and shooting. There was sound. He heard them taunt the people, laugh as they spoke poison.

"Turn it off! Please, turn it off." Ari spoke, and the supervisor Adam switched the damn TV off. They talked for a while before that Adam announced introductions were officially beginning,

"I'm Ariadne Brooks, I'm in Pink, and I like good books, singing, and my friends." Connor could tell Ari was trying to hold back tears. She smiled at Lacey. It was no secret they were best friends.

"My name may or may not be Connor Tanabe, I'm in Green, and I like food, My girlfriend , and Camp Liberty, it so happens"

To Adelyn's displeasure, the more she looks at the activity sheet the more she wanted to get injured on the hill walk. See, hill walking isn't a problem for Avelyn. In fact she enjoys it a little. The worst part was the sport challenges. Games like Frisbee, tennis, and catch were okay, but things that required running across a giant field seemed pointless to her, although in her head it sounds silly that she wouldn't like running across fields. In frisbee that is pretty much all you do. Around her people were talking happily, catching up on the things that have happened over the year. Any person could tell the extroverts from the introverts in this room. From Emily announcing her presence, to someone like that new guy sitting alone in the corner - the room was filled with a large range of personalities. The scariest thing was, not everyone had arrived yet. One person in particular caught the attention of Avelyn, and that was her old bunk mate Destiny walking through the door. For a moment she pondered going up and saying "hello" to Destiny, but she figured her friend would come around.
Avelyn's attention went to the T.V as it started a news broadcast on a situation that happened in Colorado.
"Yep, sorry Mom and Dad for any shit this might bring your way. You are good people, I hope you know it. Sorry friends. Especially Ari, I know how much this will hurt you"
She looked over to Ariadne who seemed to be paralyzed when seeing the video on the television. Poor girl. No one deserves to go through things like that. But shit happens to the best of people Avelyn thought to herself, watching the remainder of the video until Ariadne finally spoke up. The look the girl had, she knew all too well. Trying not to cry when the tears threatened to fall. She genuinely felt sympathetic towards her. When Adam announced that they were doing intros, Adelyn figured it was best to get it over with early. She knew it was equally as painful for everyone else to listen to things they already knew. The only person she was wondering about however - was the boy that came in rather quietly. She was interested to see what he had to say.

"I'm Ariadne Brooks, I'm in Pink, and I like good books, singing, and my friends." I'm surprised she's even able to speak so soon was the first thought to pop into Avelyn's head.
"My name may or may not be Connor Tanabe, I'm in Green, and I like food, My girlfriend , and Camp Liberty, it so happens" When Connor was done, Avelyn coughed awkwardly.
"Hello, I'm Avelyn Vison. It's a pleasure to be back, and I like listening to my music, photography, and the sound of thunderstorms" she said softly, yet loud enough for people to hear. Avelyn listened for the next person to speak up.

Emily is greeted by the glowing Coby Clarkson who walks over to where Emily stands and hugs her, "My dear Emily!" Coby says. It is good to see Coby, there is so much planning to do, so much, fun to be had. "Coby, omg you look so good!" Emily says, putting on a fake British accent just for laughs. Ever since Emily had met Coby her first year they were instant besties. They are like two peas in a pod, a pod covered in sparkles and gold. It is strange for Emily to have such a kindled spirit and not be in the same colour, but the Universe does work in mysterious ways. She looks around and sees many familiar faces around her and Coby, some friends, and others enemies. Emily turns around as Coby stops on the other side of the room, and standing there is Grayson Carter. She resists the urge to backhand the pig and straightens her back, "Oh look what the dog dragged in. It is going to be wonderful time isn't it?" Emily says with a hostile tone, trying to keep casual.

Emily and Grayson have history together, going to the same private school, and practically being neighbours in L.A. However Emily truly knows that the Carter family are really pig heads, snobs, all high and mighty. Grayson would flaunt his wealth to any girl that he would want to take home and seduce. He even seduced one of her best friends, but she was weak to fall in love with him.

Even their fathers hate each other, only putting on a façade in case of public appearances and such. My family believes that the Carters are cheats and bullies and there will be no way that they could ever get to a cease fire. It is always a competition between the two houses. This is where Emily flourishes the most, wanting to pulverise Grayson at any chance she gets.

Before waiting for a response from Grayson, the introduction time is called. Even though it is only a formality because everyone pretty much knows each other Emily joins in, walking over to the group and standing in so she is seen. "I'm Ariadne Brooks, I'm in Pink, and I like good books, singing, and my friends." Aria kicks off the intros yet Emily can notice something off with her, its like she has seen a ghost. She shrugs it off listens to the others introducing themselves, "My name may or may not be Connor Tanabe, I'm in Green, and I like food, My girlfriend , and Camp Liberty, it so happens" Emily smiles at the sight of Connor, more fun factor. Before Emily opens up her mouth she turns her head at the sound of a cough, it is Avelyn. After her was Grayson's turn, she scoffed and turned up her head as he gave his introduction. When he was done Emily stood forward, flipping back her dark Auburn hair with her hand she boldly says, "It is I, Emily Willis. I am in Pink, I like cats, sweets and anything colourful. And this year, I will be responsible for Pinks victory." Grinning, she steps back, waiting for the message to sink in and the other introductions.

Aaron watched as the other people filed in. He didn't know really anyone since he was new so he
just stayed quiet. He saw a girl in a pretty dress file in and then speak with the male that had
been on the couch when he first arrived. He heard small sounds but could make out any words
since he wasn't particularly trying to make out words. He saw the male respond with a kiss and
then he concluded that they must have some sort of romantic feelings for one another. He tried
not to listen and started blocking everything out but he was jolted from his indifference when he
heard a gunshot on the TV followed by another and then another. He covered his ears and brought
his knees up to his chest where his feet were on the chair. It was a position he normally took when
he was getting beat up. A defensive mechanism if you would say. He listened to the Ari girl scream
to turn it off and then the noise subsided. He felt just as relieved as she did. He heard the person
in charge explain it was introduction time. First, he saw the Ari girl say she was in pink. Then the
male that kissed the girl in the dress was in green. Then another girl who was in grey named Avelyn.
He watched as the girl in the dress explained that she was in purple and then told everyone sweetly
that her name was Lilliana. Lilliana... Lilliana, I'll have to call her Lilly.
Then he heard
James speak and say he was in purple then another girl named Emily who was in pink. Then he saw
no one else was speaking up. "I'm in Red and my name is Aaron Addison. I like music, tea
and strawberry ice cream."

Lilliana smiled as the small peck was set on her cheek by her boyfriend. She was happy but that was
until she heard the shooting on the TV. Her instinct was to hide behind someone she trusted which
happened to be Connor. She put her face in his arm to hide her sight but she could still hear the
gunshots and each one meant a lost life. She finally got over it after it was shut off, after the people
finished with their introductions then Lilliana introduced herself. "I'm Lilliana, purple
cabin and I love Connor, sunlight and volleyball."
She listened to everyone else's introductions
as she still clung to her boyfriend.

Molly's lips pressed into a thin line as she looked up at Eddie's eye, and she struggled not to say any more about it. Eddie was the one person she never seemed to be able to keep quiet around; they knew each other so well Molly regularly found herself wanting to tell him anything and everything, and she often did. It wasn't uncommon for them to sit out on the porch of the grey cabin and talk late into the night, telling each other whatever was on their minds. But some things you just didn't speak about, and Eddie's father was one of them. She herself was lucky enough to have two kind, if distant, parents. Her mother had never been the same after suffering a miscarriage when Molly was five, but she knew her mother loved her, even if she didn't say it very often. "It's fine, Molly. I'm here now," Eddie said, and Molly gave a quiet nod, looking down at her mustachioed socks to avoid looking at his swollen eye. "There's nothing you can do now," he insisted, and she knew he was right. Eddie came here to forget about his home life, and she wouldn't be doing him any favors by reminding him about it. Sometimes the best thing a friend can do is help you forget.

To Molly, Eddie had never been anything but gentle and kind. He looked out for her around camp and pulled her out of her shell when he felt she was spending too much time on her own; in short, he was as good a brother as she could ask for. But there was another side to Eddie-- a darker one. It was a face Eddie had never shown to Molly directly, but she'd seen it once, rather by accident, and she'd never quite forgotten it. There was no denying that a piece of his father flowed in Eddie's veins, but Molly knew Eddie wasn't his father, no matter what others (or Eddie himself) might say. Character, as the great Abraham Lincoln once said, is like a tree, and reputation like a shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing.

She was relieved to see Eddie smile again when she changed the subject, and even more relieved to hear that he'd missed her too. It wasn't that Molly disliked attending high school in her hometown of Seattle, but it did get lonely from time to time. She certainly wasn't as close with anyone there as she was with her friends here. She'd done her best to keep in contact with Eddie throughout the year, and indeed there were some points in her nine months away from camp she was sure she wouldn't have made it through without a call or text from him, but chatting over the phone wasn't nearly as good as seeing him in person. "It was an inspired moment," he laughed in regards to his poem, and Molly smiled. "Well, I'm glad I could be your muse." At that moment she remembered she had a present for him back at the cabin (socks, of course), and was about to tell him so when a bubbly British girl entered the room. Her fashion and accent would have been plenty attention-getting anywhere else, but in the crowded room of teenagers, she got a bit lost. Luckily, Eddie had heard her, and, in his characteristically friendly way, introduced himself and directed her towards the bathroom.

After a mildly uncomfortable scene regarding the news story on the TV, Adam announced the start of introductions, and Molly joined the circle with the rest of the group, positioning herself near Eddie, Avelyn, and Destiny for the security her cabin color provided. She listened to the others speak, nodding along politely and letting out the occasional laugh. After a lull in the introductions, and a gentle nudge from Eddie, Molly spoke up. "H-Hi." She stuttered the first word and caught herself, her cheeks coloring slightly; she wasn't too good at speaking in front of groups. "I'm Molly Kingsley, from the grey cabin, and I like books. Lots of books. All books, really. Today I read..." she caught herself rambling and did her best to get back on course, "Well, nevermind that. I also like coffee and socks" she finished quickly. Well, the socks bit sounded a bit odd, and it certainly wasn't the perfect introduction, but she'd gotten through it, hadn't she?

Audrey was, indeed, a bit lost. Her eyes and legs kept roaming around for the bathroom. Sure, she had been going to this camp for quite a while, but it was like a public school. No matter how long you've been going there, you'll never memorize and know where each teachers classroom is. It's so big and full of people, it's almost impossible to. Well, at least it was for Audrey. She knew that for sure. Her whole life has practically been getting lost.

"The bathroom's down the hall, to the right."

The voice startled her and made her jump a bit. She was planning on keeping a low profile for now. Drama queens do need attention, though. But Audrey has her more modest moments at times. So much for low profile though. Sure, this guy seemed polite and probably didn't want anything to do with her, but still.

That's when Audrey turned her body so she could face fully to him. She's seen him before. Her eyes squinted as she tried to figure out his name. Edward? Was that it? No. Didn't sound right. She then glanced over at the other brunette girl beside him, and she knew she's seen her around here before... but she didn't know her name at all.

"Oh, I'm Eddie Andrews, by the way."

Eddie. That's right. She knew him. She gave a soft smile to him. "Oh, thank you so much! Jeez, I'm already getting lost and we haven't even been here for that long! I'm Audrey Mortenson." She said with a cheery tone as she introduced herself. She then turned towards the brunette girl, who seemed a little quiet, and gave a slight wave in greeting and a smile before turning around on her heel and heading down the hall, to the right, where the bathroom was located.

Finally, Audrey had made her way to the bathroom. She pushed on the heavy door leading into the women's bathroom and let herself in. The bathroom itself was okay. True, they weren't in a five star restaurant and Audrey wasn't expecting much, but it was better then she thought it would be. It was just a dull colour with a few stalls with some sinks... and mirrors hanging from the wall. Just an average looking bathroom. Audrey shrugged her shoulders as she made her way in to one of the tiny stalls and locked herself in there.

Once she was finished with her business, she made her way out and over to the sink. She began washing her hands with the soap. It said right on the red bottle 'Freshly scented strawberries'! but more smelled like... well... rotten strawberries. Audrey did like strawberries and strawberry scented things, but maybe it was just her today. Being nervous seems to enhance her senses somehow. It was odd.

Audrey then turned off the running water and looked at herself in the wide mirror. She carefully straightened her high, blonde ponytail and made sure her mascara and eyeliner were still intact. She straightened out her shirt and tried to stand up straight, as if she could look about an inch taller then her five foot stature. She sighed and hunched back down again from her tippy toes, but still kept her back straight in confidence. She gave herself one last smile before turning around and exiting the bathroom.

She was just in time to hear the introductions from other people. Audrey stood off into the corner with her arms folded in front of her as she waited for her turn.. or the right time to step in and talk.

"It is I, Emily Willis. I am in Pink, I like cats, sweets and anything colourful. And this year, I will be responsible for Pinks victory." Will you now? was Audrey's first thought as she heard this girl speak. Emily Willis. She turned her head to face the girl. Sure, she was pretty, but she basically had competition written all over her perfect skin. Her attitude seemed too much like her own. Stubborn and not willing to let anyone else be on top of the food chain. Audrey was about to open her mouth to make a snappy comeback but bit her tongue down when she heard the quiet brunette girl speak.

"H-Hi," She stuttered at first a bit before pulling herself together, "I'm Molly Kingsley, from the grey cabin, and I like books. Lots of books. All books, really. I read today that..." She paused again for a moment, "Well, nevermind that. I also like coffee and socks" Molly Kingsley. So that was her name. She seemed nervous... but still nice. She turned her attention away from the girl though when she remembered she still had this Emily girl on her nerves.

That's when Audrey took a step forward and cleared her throat loudly. "Hello! My name is Audrey Mortenson. I like old music, any type of animal and, well, winning." She said as she let out a light giggle before taking her step back into the circle, indicating that she was finished. She smiled proudly at herself and sighed,

Audrey then quietly side-stepped her way over to the quiet girl, Molly. She seemed like a nice person, and Audrey bet once they got to know one another they could maybe be friends. She stood right beside the girl before whispering quietly, "What kind of books do you read?" She asked, not looking at the girl but instead looking at the people still introducing themselves so they wouldn't suspect that she was making small talk. She knew this girl was shy just from her own introduction, and Audrey just somehow had that trait to try and make people feel comfortable.

Eddie nodded to the girl as she left to the restroom. She had said her name was Audrey, Eddie would remember that. The young man was remarkably good at connecting faces with names, and often times would meet someone one day and be waving and calling them by their name the next day. That was just part of Eddie. He just remember people, which was probably why people thought he was so friendly. He knew that people liked to be known, and he was one of the few who took the time to know.

"Turn it off! Please, turn it off."

Eddie's attention was instantly brought to Ari. Who was seriously stupid enough to turn the television to the news? A little bit of red angry boiled inside of Eddie. He couldn't believe that already, with Ari trying to get away from this nightmare, the incident was on the TV. He let out a huff as he realized there was really no harm done and everyone began to introduce themselves. Eddie listened to each and every one of them introduce themselves, ranging from some of the lovely to some of the most disgusting. Eddie made eye contact with most everyone, save for Grayson. Quite frankly, Eddie wasn't in the mood for those kind of daggers. So, he pretended like he was preoccupied while the sleaze ball spoke.

Knowing that Molly would either avoid introductions all together or wait until the last moment, Eddie gave her a little encouraging nudge. The girl might as well just get it over with. He smiled at her stubborn words and rambling. Yup, that was Molly for you. She was so intelligent and constantly read, yet she couldn't take all the words that were in her head and form a proper sentence in front of a bunch of bozos.

Next Audrey spoke. Eddie nodded his head. He liked her already. Taking his moment the young man did his little intro. "Hi everyone. I'm Eddie Andrews," He sent a friendly wave around the room and continued saying "I'm grey. I like sports, chocolate milk, and watches." He then stuck up his hand to prove that indeed he did like watches by showing off a classy all black mens watch.

Lacey and Oliver both stared at Ari, concern shining in their eyes despite the beginning of the introductions. While Oliver did note the arrival of more people, Lacey's eyes were fixed on Ari only, not at all comforted by the small smile Ariadne graced her with. She was about to whisper over to her when a soft nudge hit her shoulder and she glanced back at Oliver. He nodded towards the rest of the room and Lacey glanced at Adam, who gave her a very pointed look.

"Right, intros," she let out on an awkward pause. Getting ready to spoke, Lacey grasped a hold of Ari's hand, giving it a comforting squeeze. "So, I'm Lacey - "

"Alacia," Oliver coughed, correcting her. With her free hand, Lacey punched his shoulder.

"Shut up, Robot," she growled and turned back to the crowd, plucking at her shirt for emphasis. "I'm red. And I like Captain America obviously, computers and I've recently got a thing for winning, which...sorry to say, the Red team will be doing this year, so don't anyone get your hopes up." Everything that came out of her mouth was playful and Lacey even added a wink to the guy she heard was on her team. It was surprising that she could get out only three likes, but it wasn't important. She said her piece. That was what mattered. Now she could concentrate on Ari. With that in mind, Lacey shot Oliver a look over her shoulder. He only grinned.

"Sorry to disappoint, midget, but you and I both know who the real champs are," he told her smoothly, grinning at Grayson in particular. "I'm Oliver and I'm on blue. I like winning, sports, and video games."

Coby played with the hem of her far too short skirt as people introduced themselves. She really didn't care to know all of these people's names and cabin, and she certainly didn't care about the three things that they liked. Coby planted herself back next to Grayson as the masses began to speak up about themselves. She rolled her eyes at Emily's comment. She was fully aware of Grayson and Emily's hatred for one another. Which is Coby's mind made her life a little more fun, actually. Her two best friends were actually enemies.

Coby only looked up when girls were speaking. Not for herself of course, but for Grayson. If she was going to do this whole thing with Gray this summer, she had to act like her normal self. And trying to find Grayson the perfect conquest for the summer was often one of the things that the girl helped with. But so far she wasn't sure about any of these girls. Except maybe the British one. A face of disinterest and distaste was stained across Coby's face. Then the girl yawned, taking the opportunity to be a little rude. Honestly, this whole introductions thing was dumb. If she wanted to know who someone was, she would ask.

Jokingly, the girl leaned against Grayson as if she were going to fall asleep as she continued to listen to people talk. Next, Coby took her opportunity to mock the introductions system. She raised her hand in an attention grabbing kind of way, "I'm Coby Clarkson. Red cabin..." She then went on to make fun of those who had already gone and spoke in a gawky, sarcastic way "I like good books, old movies, and... Oh, my boyfriend." She clapped her hands together as she said this, with a hug fake smile on he face. Then Coby went back to her default position, her hands on her hips, satisfied with her personal jabs at Ari, the British girl, and Lilly.

Laying on the sofa absent minded , Nathan decided he had nothing but time. Time- the swift, coursing river that churns through a town as the moon rises and the sun sets. It does not embrace distraction, as light and sound do. Instead, it is the graceful swan that floats along with the current. Too good and too pure for anything beyond its little patch of water. The shore would never bother it because it was surrounded by its last serenity. It was one of those slow, pastel sunrises that painted the horizon line by line. They never seemed had colorful sunrises in Santa Fe, but maybe it was because he wasn't looking too hard for one. They had sunsets, yes, of copper and gold and blood red. But the mornings flipped from darkness to pale light with no transitions. It was one of the things he loved most about Camp, the quiet, beautiful dawn.

He noticed people come in, and it was easy to tell their personalities from the manner they entered the room. Some introduced themselves proudly , others waved to friends, others blended into the growing chaos that was the camp media room. It was like a plague, an overpopulation that was slowly encompassing every soul it could grasp. And soon there would be nothing. It wasn't so much of an exaggeration to his mind, but before his secondary though process grasped a hold of the grandiosity, it was a lot less poetic a bit more “teenagers everywhere, can't keep up", But in all his time reading dictionaries from front to back, he has decided to start using writing wisely , creating his words with elegance and ease and that poetic touch, not so much the moronic initial thought.

"-Introductions!" Was the only thing he heard as Adam spoke, and he snapped out of his thoughts to hear the rest of the group describing themselves. Everyone was just about finished when Adam looked directly at Nate.

"Nate? What about you?" Nate lifted his gaze from the window, stopping momentarily to glare at those in the room with eyes as cold and lifeless as steel.

"Nate Goravich." Nate himself couldn't hear the blade-sharp Russian accent that slithered his way into his words, but it was clear to anyone but the boy himself. He paused briefly to assume a more postured position, waiting slightly too long to finish the sentence. "- Red. Fire, fire and fire. Good enough?"

"Good enough" Adam gave a defeated sigh, turning to the rest of the group. "Well, I think that's about everyone."

"Okay, hill walking." Adam rubbed his hands together, pulling out his clipboard, glancing over his writing and facing the group again. "We're hiking up the Mountain Vuena" He leaned out of his chair and pointed to a bulbous mountain, only a five minute walk from their current position. "You're getting lucky I suppose, because it will only be a four hour hike, and no rock climbing at the moment. You will need to wear hiking boots and warm clothing. Preferably pants of some sort."

"For groups..." Adam paused, looking around the room, "Hm, for now it's an odd number. Oh well, I'll only say this once. Group One will be- Nate Goravich, Avelyn Vison, Aaron Addison, Destiny Hill, Eddie Andrews and James Vincze. Group Two will be- Oliver Hale, Audrey Mortenson, Molly Kingsley, Connor Tanabe, Lilliana Baker and Daniel Bailey. Group Three will be- Ariadne Brooks, Coby Clarkson, Lacey Chung, Emily Willis and Grayson Carter. I know they are all a bit strangely numbered, but it is needed for safety."

"Okay everyone! You only have ten minutes to get ready for the walk. Please meet me at the totem pole just a minutes walk from here." Adam pointed at a totem pole, considerably far in the distance.

Nate pushed his body out of the ever-sinking sofa and was the first out the door . It was fast that he arrived at the Red cabin, only to find another person's belongings on his bed. His bed. Quickly shoving them to the floor in a bout of rage, letting the belongings scatter along the floor, he slipped on a hoodie and some battered black jeans from days past, along with thick leather hiking boots his father's money bought. Out the door in a matter of seconds, he arrived at the totem pole with minutes to spare.

Lacey squeezed Ariadne's hand once more, gently of course, when she heard that they would be in the same group. Of course, she was semi-disappointed that Oliver couldn't be with them to fight off a grizzly bear, but having Grayson as eye candy more than made up for it. She leaned over to whisper in Ari's ear, grinning.

"Hopefully, I don't get lost like I did last year," she jested lightly, recalling her little show of attitude when she decided that she didn't want to deal with the group and snuck off. It didn't do her any good because Adam had to come find her and if the small "detention" she served wasn't enough, Oliver teased her for an entire week for running from a raccoon. It's safe to say that Lacey learned her lesson and knew she was going to follow the group this year. When she stood and gathered her electronics, Oliver smirked.

"Think you can manage for four hours without me, midget?" He inquired and Lacey scoffed.

"Wow, the robot can crack a joke?" she retorted sarcastically and he chuckled. "C'mon, admit it - your life is boring without me. And you really think you can manage without your bestie over there?" Lacey gestured to Grayson inquisitively, eyebrow arched just barely in sign of playfulness. Oliver laughed and glanced over at the rest of the group, his eyes falling slowly on Molly Kingsley. She still seemed to fade away, but knowing they were in the same group caused her to become even more perceptible to his sight. He smiled softly at her before turning back to Lacey.

"I think I'll manage," he replied. Oliver nodded to Ariadne gently, grateful that Adam had enough sense to keep the two girls together. While it was obvious that Lacey was the source of comfort Ari needed, Ariadne was also a crutch for Lacey - a means to keep her grounded and remind her that she didn't have to shut everyone out. Of course, Oliver wasn't the best person to give advice about letting people in, but Lacey never came across to him as someone who should bottle herself up. She deserved to be open. Nodding to Lacey again, he told them both that he would see them in a few at the totem pole.

Lacey turned back to Ari, laptop bag clutched tightly in her hand.

"I'll get come get you at your cabin, kay?" She exclaimed and then headed out. Once at her cabin, Lacey finally moved her suitcase over to the bunk beds. She never had one and upon coming to Camp Liberty, she fell in love with the bottom bunk. Don't ask her why - she's just super weird like that. It was just comfortable and plus, it kept her close to a wall plug. It was probably horrible that she was so dependent on technology when surrounded by nature and what-have-you, but she didn't care. It took a record of five minutes for her to actually find something she liked, which wasn't that much to think about since all they were doing was walking. Lacey braided her hair before sliding the beanie over her head with minutes to spare. After checking her laces and grabbing the earphones for her phone, she left her cabin at a leisurely pace, heading over to the pink cabins.

Meanwhile, Oliver made his way over to the totem pole, dressed and earphones in place. He nodded to Avelyn when he arrived, pointedly ignoring Nate's presence altogether.

"Hey," he said. It wouldn't exactly hurt to start conversation while waiting, right?

Glad to have her own introduction out of the way, Molly melted back into the circle to await her heartbeat's return to a normal rhythm. No sooner had she rejoined the circle than Audrey (whose name Molly had learned as the girl hurried off to the bathroom) stepped forward, announcing herself with a confidence Molly herself could never have mustered. She seemed to own her place in the group without coming off as arrogant, and when she beamed at the other campers, everyone (well, almost everyone) returned her bright smile. Audrey seemed like the kind of girl who made friends quickly and frequently, the one you see walking around in a group of 5 or 6 others at all times. Ever the observer, Molly logged her observations of the girl in her mind, saving her mental notes for later. People assumed that because Molly didn't talk much she didn't know much either, but her observant nature and natural curiosity made her a regular fountain of knowledge. She knew all sorts of things about the other campers, quirks and eccentricities she'd picked up on just by watching them, and it was safe to say Molly was nearly as good at reading people as she was at reading books.

"What kind of books do you read?" Molly jumped slightly as a distinctly British voice piped up beside her. She froze for a moment, surprised Audrey was speaking to her, but it didn't take long for her love of books to win out over her silence. "Fiction, mostly," she whispered back, keeping her voice low so as not to draw attention from the others' introductions. "But I read all kinds of things...biographies, histories, memoirs, almanacs, medical textbooks...anything interesting, really..." she trailed off, toying with her bottlecap necklace. "I could lend you something. Y-you know, if you like," she finished quickly, feeling suddenly self-conscious. Deciding she better put an end to their chat before she became even more tongue-tied, Molly turned her attention back to the ongoing introductions, listening as other campers stated their names and interests.

With everyone acquainted, Adam announced the destination of their hike and broke them into smaller groups. Molly experienced a brief moment of panic as she realized Eddie wasn't in her group, but was comforted (and, let's be honest, even a little giddy) to hear she'd be spending the next four hours with Oliver. She had Connor and Lilly in her group as well, and, despite not knowing either very well, she liked them both. Finally there was Audrey, who, if her attempt to converse was any indication of her personality, was perfectly lovely. Slipping quietly from the room, Molly went off to the grey cabin to gather her essentials for the hike (for Molly this meant a change of socks and few good books). Back in the cabin, she traded her shorts for destroyed blue jeans and added an old plaid flannel over the top of her fitted grey t shirt. Fashion had never been very high on her list of priorities (save for socks), and the only major change to Molly's outfit was the swapping of her mustache socks for black ones adorned with yellow submarines (modeled after the Beatles song of the same name). The socks didn't go with any other part of the outfit, certainly not the red Converse on her feet, but she didn't care. As we've said before, Molly was not in the business of denying herself life's simple pleasures simply because others might think her strange.

Before leaving the cabin Molly stocked her backpack with two books (Steinbeck's "Of Mice and Men" and John Green's "Looking for Alaska"). It could be argued that carrying extra weight around on a four hour hike wasn't the most logical thing to do, but Molly couldn't imagine going anywhere without at least one book, and it was always better to have two. Satisfied she had all she needed, she headed over to the totem pole, positioning herself on the edge of the group of those that had already gathered. She knew she ought to approach someone, but she was feeling a bit nervous (the fast pace of the first day of camp could make anyone anxious). Besides, what was the rush? She'd be out on the trail for four hours. She was bound to talk to someone...right?

Molly seemed like a nice girl to Audrey. She was small, sweet and shy. Everything that made her innocent was what she had. She was a major bookworm and didn't seem that interested in all the "girly" things this society offered everyone. Even though it doesn't seem like it, Audrey does indeed love books. She's read books to get her away from the real world. Some high fantasy novel to make her escape and enter her own world of imagination. It really was quite fun, you just need the craziness and patience to deal with it.

While she waited for Molly to reply (which she seemed quite shocked that Audrey had even gone over to talk to the girl) Audrey caught on to what one girl was saying in her introduction. "I'm Coby Clarkson. Red cabin..." The girl then stopped and she then began to speak in a high-pitched sarcastic tone, "I like good books, old movies, and... Oh, my boyfriend." It was then that Audrey decided she didn't like this girl either, In fact, she felt her tolerance level for annoying people shorten... almost as short as the mini-skirt this girl was wearing. What did she say her name was? Colby? Something like that. Anyway, not that Audrey cared. Audrey let out a loud huff at the girl and flipped her blonde hair over her shoulder, turning all her attention towards and Molly and choosing to ignore the girl and hoping she caught on that no one thought she was funny. At least, Audrey didn't think it was.

"Fiction, mostly," Molly replied in a hushed whisper, "But I read all kinds of things...biographies, histories, memoirs, almanacs, medical textbooks...anything interesting, really..." She then seemed quite nervous, toying with that little necklace of hers around her neck. "I could lend you something. Y-you know, if you like," It was then Audrey's turn to pause. When was the last time she actually read a book? Sure, she's read a few in school, but that was only because the whole class was required to do so. Not like any of the books they read in class were actually books she liked. Audrey just hadn't gotten the time to get her hands on a good book these days, and it was refreshing to hear the offer of reading a book she actually enjoyed.

Audrey then realized that she had yet to reply to Molly. Her mind drifted away in thought. She then nodded and gave out a soft "Mhm", indicating that she would like to borrow a book sometime. What could be so bad about reading a nice book?

The room then fell quiet as Adam started to speak. He wrapped up the introductions and explained the first camping activity. "You're getting lucky I suppose, because it will only be a four hour hike, and no rock climbing at the moment. You will need to wear hiking boots and warm clothing. Preferably pants of some sort."

Four hour hike?

That's, like, two hours times two. That's half an entire average school day. That's more then what Audrey is used to. She could practically hear the thoughts and complaints running through everybody's head as he said this. Maybe not. Maybe there was someone in this room that actually liked walking for four hours. Defiantly not Audrey.

"For groups..." Adam stopped, glancing around the room at everybody, "Hm, for now it's an odd number. Oh well, I'll only say this once. Group One will be- Nate Goravich, Avelyn Vison, Aaron Addison, Destiny Hill, Eddie Andrews and James Vincze. Group Two will be- Oliver Hale, Audrey Mortenson, Molly Kingsley, Connor Tanabe and Lilliana Baker. Group Three will be- Ariadne Brooks, Coby Clarkson, Lacey Chung, Emily Willis and Grayson Carter. I know they are all a bit strangely numbered, but it is needed for safety."

Well, at least she was with this Molly girl and not any of the other girls she's decided she doesn't like already. So she wasn't complaining about this part. Audrey watched as everyone began to leave the room, following Audrey slowly behind. Audrey quickly grabbed her hat and sunglasses from the table she had sat them on before and followed out of the Media Room behind everybody. Boy, she could already feel the excitement throughout the room...

Audrey then made her way up to the Pink Cabin while looking down at the ground as she walked on and swinging her hat back and forth in her hand. She soon made it to her cabin and saw her belongings still placed up against the door. She quickly grabbed her purse and slung it over her shoulder as she took her suitcase and dragged it on inside behind her. She glanced around at all the bunk beds and spotted one in one of the corners. She scrambled over to the bed and placed her purse on the top bunk so everyone who comes in will know that the top bed is now taken by herself. Audrey then set her suitcase on the floor and picked out her walking outfit and quickly changed. She decided on something snug and warm. She then zipped her suitcase back up and stuck it underneath the bed.

Audrey then adjusted her jacket and dragged out her colourful napsac. She stuffed a full water bottle in there, her sunglasses, some sunscreen and bug spray and her sunglasses that she decided she wouldn't wear, but put in there just in case. She then slung the bag over her back and tightened her ponytail before exiting the cabin. The cabin itself didn't look too bad, either.

Audrey began her walk over to the totem pole where she saw a few other people have already gathered there as well, including Nate. She didn't say anything to him as she passed him, but instead kept her distance and looked back at him. He seemed like he didn't want to be here, and true, Audrey didn't really either but at least she didn't show it. She widened her eyes a bit and continued walking.

Audrey's eyes then landed on this other guy, who seemed occupied by these jelly beans he had. A blond guy. She remembered his name. Grayson or something like that. She smirked as she saw him tossing jelly beans in the air and letting them fall back down into his mouth. She couldn't tell if he was showing off or just minding his own business. Whichever one it was, he still had jelly beans... and jelly beans were yummy.

"Hey, you." She said to him as she neared him, pointing her finger out towards him. "Grayson, right?" She asked, although she was almost sure that it was indeed Grayson. Leave it to Audrey to start up conversations with people she hardly knew. She then stopped once she stood beside the guy and looked up at him with her one hand held out flat in front of her. "Mind sharing?" She asked with her outstretched hand still in front of her as she waited for a reply.

Coby ignored the rest of the introductions and instructions. She stood back with her arms over her chest and tapped her foot in a stereotypical Coby kind of way. Her blonde hair was strewn over her shoulder and her face was filled with the highest quality of boredom. She was so fed up that she failed to even take note of who was in her group. All she heard were the names that mattered. First, there was herself. Then Grayson. And of course Emily. She was more than pleased with that combination, though she was sure at one point her two besties wouldn't be able to stand each other. it was a four hour hike after all.

Seeing everyone else make their exits, she followed suit but acted as if she had started the parade. Her walk was confident as she strutted to the Red cabin. On the way there was fiasco with the door of the boys cabin. She ignored what ever it was that was happening. Coby wouldn't have wanted to help anyway.

Once she was at her cabin she dug through her suitcase, searching for the perfect combination of walkable and flirtable. She may be a little wild in her attire, but that didn't mean that she had no idea what to wear for a hike. Then she thought of the perfect outfit. Her shirt was a sheer black material that her bright red and pink bikini would show through perfectly. Her pants were long skinny jeans that were black with a silver pin strip. She had a form fitting sweatshirt that was plain black and her hiking boots, which were a combination of black, red, brown with silver laces. Perfectly ready to go, with her make-up touched up and her hair brushed through, Coby headed toward the meeting spot.

She then turned to the girl and shrugged her shoulders while saying "Sorry, love, you've got to be quicker than that."
It was there that a collection of campers were already standing, waiting to get the day going. She sighed, thinking about how long this hike was going to be. But then the little devil spotted Grayson, doing his own thing not saying a word to anyone. She smiled seeing Grayson chewing on some candy, how typical of him. The British girl that Coby had no idea was, came up to him and started talking. Coby ignored her. So, being Coby, she sneaked up behind him, then went in for the kill. She launched her hand into his pants pocket, grabbed a couple of the jelly beans and with success stuffed them into her mouth. "Mmm!" She exclaimed, spinning around to face him now, laughter coming from her mouth.

She then turned to the British girl and said, "Sorry, love, but you've got to be quicker than that." With a prissy little smirk. Coby was just playing, but most people didn't understand that.

Grayson had just caught his seventh jelly bean in a row (and was going for his eighth) when the high, clear call of Audrey Mortenson reached his ears. "Hey, you." He wasn't sure who she was talking to, but because Grayson considered himself a vastly interesting person and the type who attracts all kinds of attention, he could only assume she was speaking to him. He looked to be sure, and, in the process, missed the jelly bean he'd tossed, which landed unceremoniously at his feet. His streak broken, he scanned the clearing to find the source of the voice that had so rudely broken his concentration. His eyes landed on a girl with a colorful nap sack and some very pink pants making her way towards him, and he racked his brain for her name. Aubrey? No, Audrey...the one who liked music or kittens or something. He couldn't remember the details exactly, but it was pretty easy to tell by the way she was dressed, and her bubbly air of confidence, which color she was in. "Grayson, right?" she asked, coming up beside him with her hand outstretched. He gave a slight nod, his eyes now on her open palm. "Mind sharing?" she said, referencing the jelly beans, and Grayson smirked. Well, she was forward, wasn't she? He certainly seemed to attract that type. "Sure," he answered, producing a handful from his pocket. He separated a few beans from the bunch, leaving the cherry ones (his favorites) for himself. "Go on," he said, "pick your poison."

Just as he was preparing to tip the jelly beans into Audrey's hand, he heard a giggle behind him, immediately followed by the sensation of someone moving their hand (none too gently or discreetly) into his pants' pocket. Grayson knew only one girl crazy enough to pull a stunt like that, and he had a feeling the blonde devil was behind him at this very moment. I mean, any other person shoves their hand into your pocket and it is, at best, uncomfortable and, at worst, a form of assault, but Coby and Grayson...well, let's just say the circumstances were a little...different. The pair were infamous for their crass behavior and open flirtation, and as far as Grayson was concerned, camp just wasn't camp without Coby making some kind of scene. He laughed along with her as she withdrew her hand, waving her closed fist in front of his face triumphantly before popping the jelly beans into her mouth. "Mmm!" she exclaimed, seeming extremely pleased with herself as she munched on the sugary candy. Grayson made a big show of rolling his eyes, reaching into his pocket to get a few more jelly beans for himself. "Nice one, Coby...but now you owe me," he teased, tossing another jelly bean into the air and catching it neatly on his tongue.

Coby, however, was too preoccupied with marking her territory to respond to his comment. "Sorry, love, but you've got to be quicker than that," she sneered, wearing her trademark expression of faux sweetness and venomous spite. She liked to tease, but Grayson also knew she could be domineering and even possessive; she liked people to know she was in charge. He didn't know Audrey well enough to know how she'd take Coby's "teasing", so he took it upon himself to diffuse the tension. "Take it easy, Coby; there's plenty to go around," he smirked, his suggestive tone making it perfectly clear he wasn't just talking about jelly beans.

Audrey always was the type of person that gets straight to the point. No questions, no stutters and no excuses. She liked to get things done simple and as quickly as she could. So there she stood beside this guy, offering her hand out as she waited for him to pull out his stack of more jelly beans. She only smiled softly as she waited patiently for him to dig out the jelly beans and take the red ones out of the group of jelly beans he now offered in his hand to her.

"Go on," he said casually, "pick your poison."

"Okay. I'll just take--" She said before she was interrupted by Grayson spinning around and coming face to face with the other blonde girl, Coby. She watched as they both laughed at each other and as Coby stuffed the jelly beans into her mouth. Audrey sighed, watching them while she rubbed the side of her nose gently with her hand. This was something she did when she was annoyed... or when she just felt like tearing someone's head off. "Funny." Audrey mumbled quietly to herself as she continued watching the two fool around.

Now, Audrey didn't have any siblings and she especially didn't know how to "play fight" and how to tell the difference between jokes and insults. And right now, this Coby girl seemed like she was playing with Audrey's nerves. Audrey's eyes scanned over this girl as she continued rubbing her nose. Form fitting top, skinny jeans and eye-catching laces. This girl seemed like she took "Dress to Impress" quite literally. Did she always choose to dress up like this?

"Sorry, love, but you've got to be quicker than that." Coby said with this trade mark smirk of hers. Audrey stood up straighter and looked at the girl, bringing both her hands down to her hips. Audrey snickered as she scanned her eyes over the girl again. "And it looks like you have to be quicker at buying clothes that are in your size, love." Audrey said in the same tone as the girl, making her best American accent as she did so. Audrey smirked back at the girl then looked back over at Grayson, not even catching on to what he said before.

"It's alright. I'll manage. You two can have your own little feast. I'll come back and get some jelly beans off of ya' some other time, 'mmkay?" She said sweetly as she smiled and gave a small wink to the guy. Her smile then faded back into a smirk as she glanced over at Coby one last time before turning away. There. Audrey started walking away from the group in the most confident walk she's probably ever managed as she made her way beside the totem pole. Let that one sink into that Coby girl. Maybe she'll get the idea to cut back on the bitch flakes tomorrow morning... because Audrey wasn't one to play silly little mind games.

Audrey made her way up to the totem pole and stood by it, leaning onto it slightly. She rubbed her cheek with her hand, already feeling exhausted... even though they haven't even started yet. She swiftly slid her napsac off of her shoulders and sat down cross-legged onto the grass. She put her bag in her lap and opened it up. She then slipped out her water bottle, taking a big gulp of water from it. Audrey wasn't usually one to get so tired so fast, but she could already feel the exhaustment of the entire week just having to deal with the people around her. Fun.

After a few minutes, he gave up on the door and just grabbed his guitar. When he heard
knocking just as he grabbed his guitar, he ran back to the door. He tried to get it open, as
the person on the other end did as well. It wasn't even going to budge. He was getting so
frustrated that he was ready to break his guitar on the fricken door. He had put his guitar
case on his back, almost lake a backpack. He didn't hear much from the other side, just
mumbling. He couldn't even comprehend why the door would get jammed in the first place.
Stupid fricken door. Stupid fricken camp.
He thought to himself still working with the door,
trying as hard as he could to get it open. He then heard an new voice come to the door.

This voice was of a male while the first one was from a female. He wondered who these
people were. Who would be nice enough to help him and adept enough to hear his banging?
He thought he would be alone at most of the time during this camp experience. He didn't
know what to think now though. Everyone that he had met... well... kind of met, has been
very nice. Except for that psychopath named Nate. He was afraid the larger male would
just end him while he was sleeping if he did something wrong. Deathly afraid to even sleep
in the same cabin as the male now from what he has seen of his character. Scary.

As the door slowly lodged it's way out Aaron backed up and got a running start and the
door flung open, pushing the male over to the side and throwing himself and the girl off
of the porch together. He was still disoriented but he found his hands on either side of
the woman's head and his knees on either side of the woman's legs. He couldn't comprehend
the mistake he had just made. He looked down at the girl as she looked up at him. "Uh...
I'm... uh... I'm so sorry."
He managed to get out before getting up, helping the girl up then
walking away with his head down and his guitar on his back. He found the Totem pole after a while
and took a seat a little ways away, still embarrassed about the entire ordeal that went on earlier.
