a rough and dirty looking Vagabond but strangly doesnt stink.
Ulik is kinda dreary, modest and down to earth. Kind and helpful but very fearsome with his beleifs and protecting what is his, (which is very little), but after awhile you might find that he has a good sence of humor.

Ulik had once, some time ago, been a great kingsmen. A knight of the Kings Order and closest to his Cousin the Prince. He had been born to the kings brother and thus nobility, but insted of taking up the aristocrasy and battling in the ballrooms with the rich and fair, he took up the sword and battled for the people and the land and the prince. By his early teens he was an acomplished swordsman, cunning and uncanny, was taken as a squire and knighted before his 20s. He had know fame and prestige and wealth until on day a neighboring nation attacked. War had brewed for decades and had spilled over into Ulik's harmonious land. He and the prince had road into battle side by side, fighting and saving each others lives man times over. 3 Years into the war on a wonderous day of victory, they had released captives of other conquered lands, and among then Ulik had found a love. Arywin, was her name. Their love was fast and powerful and all consuming to the point that Ulik threatened to lay down his blade for her. But the jealous Prince would not have his blade, but deeply wanted his bride to be. Scheiming words fell onto the ears of one of Ulik's friends, a small rough with a good ear that he had employed to drop eaves on the prince, and returned to Ulik with new that he was to cast out for treason and his bride stolen.
Haveing such new, Ulik struck out to find his dearest Arywin, to steal her away himself and flee before this could be carried out. it was only after she had declare her undying true love for him and placed a ring on his finger that the guards burst in and seised Ulik. He faught, felling his own men with his bare hands and roaring a defiant promise to his love that he would return to her and thus falling into the princes trap. He had become the traitor making the prince's claim true with out doubt and he was sentenced to 30 lashes by cat of ninetails, and banishment for all time. The little rogue friend was killed before his eyes.
Ulik crawled under his home's portculus, back bleeding, and heart broken. He was Ulik , Knight of the Kings order, Guardian of the Prince, no more.
