"Fine fine, don't tell on me." She groaned in an almost mocking voice. She stepped onto the walls of the backstage and walked up it, going right to the top of the tent and then listening to her introduction, before the atmosphere fell, the lights fell off and everything went still, as if something had gone wrong. She saw a girl next to her, and she started saying things like 'no, please, stop!' Alevina waited, watching the audience look around with worried looks, before the girl screamed and she dived down, back first. She heard the cries from the audience, but then shot a web up and caught herself. And then, her performance really started. She lowered down to the floor and got up close to the audience members, shooting out webs over them and then climbing above them, making sure to give them an elegant smile. Then, she shot a web to one of the walls and began doing acrobatics, climbing up the walls and then twirling around her webs. Her routine always went like this, and she'd shine her smile out to the audience whilst they applauded.
All for a while, everything seemed to be playing out like normal, she'd make the audience gaze in wonder or retreat in horror, and she was used to it. However, she found that one face in the audience seemed to be staring intently at her. And for some reason, her attention was drawn to her. She blinked a couple of times as she swung about, and then she realized who it was. It was her older sister. Realization struck her, and getting a little shocked, she fell off her web to the floor. A clumsy mistake which drew a few frowns. Alevina quickly got back up and finished her routine. She gave the audience a little bow before dashing offstage and bumping into some of the dancers and other acts. She dashed outside and fell onto the grass. Surely, how could she be sure that it was her mother? It really looked like her, but... But... She blinked a couple of times, biting her lip. What was she doing all the way out here, if it was her that is. She couldn't believe it, she looked so much older now... She looked down to the grass and tried to distract herself, instead wondering if Alexander had noticed her clumsiness.
"Sophia, please do me a favor and teach Mocha here Landonâs moves, you guys have an hour till show time, better pick up those moves fast sweetheart." Alaska said and then disappeared.
"No problem." She loved teaching dancers new dancers and she was especially happy is was Marshall. She held up a finger to indicate to give her a moment. She grabbed the outfit she had to wear and then ran to Alaska's bathroom to change. It was fast so she she came back out and she felt so different, none the less she had to wear it. She walked over to Marshall. "Okay now for the dance. " She put the music on and she started to show him what her moves were and how he was supposed to dance with that. And then she showed him how to dance with Alaska moves. And towards the end of the song she taught him the finally. She preformed it by herself so Marshall could see it, because she didn't want to dance with him instantly without seeing it.
"Okay, do you want to see it again before you try?"
A man dressed in colourful clothes and makeup walked past her and she silently followed him to the other side of the tent to the backstage area. No one seemed to notice her when she walked inside; they were all busy doing whatever they needed to do. It was impossible for her to distinguish him from all those people, even though she was standing in the middle of everything. "He - hello?... Desmond?"
âLeviâŠâ she said softly as she knelt down next to the girl. âThey donât remember youâ she spoke in a kind tone. âThatâs probably the only generous thing that Alexander does, it was like you never existed in their lives.â She probably seemed cold to the girl, but she had been here for some many years, she had gotten over it. âI know itâs hard, it never gets easy, Iâve been here for almost a hundred years and Iâm still not use to this damn place.â She sighed âBut, the trick is you donât let anyone know that.â She smirked. âI have to get back to work, but why donât you stop by my trailer tonight, we usually have an opening night after party, might be good for you, besides I donât think Iâve ever seen you at one of our parties.â She winked as she stood up and headed back inside. She couldnât help but let her mind wonder to the party that would happen that night, she hope her and Desmond could sneak off, it had been a while since they were alone and she missed him, but they also couldnât chance getting caught.
Alevina leant against the outside of the circus tent and gazed up to the sky, her legs laying out to the sides as she thought to herself. She kinda wished that she was allowed to die. If she went to the party, she probably wouldn't enjoy it. She'd just get fed up and then leave early. She wasn't good at parties before the circus. She didn't want to know what she'd be like now that she was some weird spider woman. She closed her eyes and rested her hands upon her stomach. Well... she'd have to see how she felt when she got there. Maybe she'd feel like trying to get some cheering up by the time she actually got there...
"Now, you sold your soul for your dream. I don't know exactly what yours was, but you got to live out your dream for one year. From what I hear, It's exactly how you wanted it. None of that half assed wish stuff. I would hope you get exactly what you wanted, because it comes with a terrible price. When that year is over you become an 'employee' or what I like to call you, a slave. There are upsides, and downsides, the downsides do however outweigh the upsides terribly. One is you live forever, but you have to work at this cursed carnival for the rest your time. Don't ask me if you can earn your freedom, Alex doesn't even tell me that." Desmond stopped for a minute and grabbed a glass and filled it with water, he drained the cup and put it on the counter. "Don't worry, there are plenty of nice people here at the carnival. There is one thing I can tell you that might make life a little easier, always listen to Alex. Trust me, I've had to live with him for the past 2000 years. It makes life so much easier. Now, I'll be taking question, comments, concerns," Desmond looked at his watch. They still had time to talk before his brother would come back. He didn't need a rumor of how he swept the new girl off here feet and had his way with her. That would look bad all around.
As he swiftly made his way past the other workers, he spotted a girl who seemed to be lost, it looked as though she was a new employ they always had a look about him, he was tempted to change his course to go help her out until he saw Desmond, then he knew she would be upset, but okay. He actually really liked Desmond he gave the guy a lot of credit he was probably the most put together of them all. He continued out of the tent taking another drag of his cancer stick. He wondered were Wes was, he was always worrying about his brother, which probably wasnât exactly the healthiest.
He passed by the dancers, maybe heâd watch a show tonight, he thought to himself, before seeing his twin come out of the tent. âWes.â He called to his brother. Wesley smirked he was in a better mood having just had his feel of blood.

Sophia went to change into the outfit Alaska had given her. Marshall stretched out his tricks, including a double handspring he'd been working on.Â
She came back in, curves filling every inch of the fabric perfectly. He smiled subconsciously, and turned to learn the dance. It was beautifully sexy, fierce but elegant as Marshall liked to be. She asked if he needed to see it again, but he was ready to dance with Sophia and Alaska.Â
He fit into the mindset of Mocha, and started to dance with Sophia. Their moves fit together so sincerely he was in a trance by the moves. There was one point where he dipped her, her leg high in the air, and they just stared into each other's eyes. Marsh moved closer into Sophia, almost nose to nose, but then he spun off and continued the choreography. Contrary to his sexual phobias, he knew that move would make the crowd go wild. He kept his cool composure, and fixed his hair once again nonchalantly, trying not to fall down exhausted.Â
She tilted her head down to the audience members, spotting her sister and what looked like a husband start stripping down, taking off their tops and rubbing themselves against each other slightly. "Ew ew ew ew ew." Alevina said, shielding her eyes and cringing in disgust. That's just what she wanted to see, really. "Ugh... Stupid circus..." She sighed gently and rolled over, trying to watch the sexy dancers but then deciding against it. She made her way back down the tent and headed backstage, looking around and then grabbing herself a glass of water.
âI told you to cut that shit out.â Wes yelled though it was inside their combined mind.
Wyatt smirked âOh come on brother you should be used to this by now, but seeing as youâre going to throw a tantrum.â She chuckled as he took another drag before putting the cancer stick out.
Wyatt simply walking around the carnival making small talk with some of the guests, he spotted his co-worker, he never did talk to her much, but why the hell not, he had nothing better to do and she looked lonely.
âHey, doll face.â Wesley got out before Wyatt could make a proper greeting.
âIâm sorry excuse my brother.â He took a deep breath, Wesley splitting from his brother.
âexcuse me from what? I didnât do anything, I was complementing her.â He rolled his eyes as he lend on his brothers shoulder.
Wyatt ignored his brother âHow are you this evening Levi?â he asked casually.
She walked over to the broken mirror and fixed her hair and outfit. She tried to turn herself into Lady Cheetah. They sexy feline and it worked. She gave a soft purr and blew herself a kiss in the mirror. She could feel her cat-like instances coming in as she felt her inner kitty. Her eyes became a brighter color which she thought made her look sexier. She walked back over to Mocha. "Do I look okay? I don't want to look like I just rolled out of bed." Which technically she did about twenty minutes ago, but the audience didn't need to know that.
âEverybody line up!â she called out, she did it every night to get a head count before their performance, even if it was one person missing it could ruin a performance. She did a simple quick head count, before dropping her rob still dressed in her ringleader like costume. âNow, Madam Cheetah, Mocha and I will be doing the finally.â She stared as she passed back and forth in front of the line slowly with precision, making eye contact with every single one of the dancers. âIfâŠanyone has a problem with my two favorite dancers, you can deal with me.â She smirked âThe reason youâre not in their position dancing with me, is because youâre not good enough.â She smirked âIf anyone of you so much as glances at them the wrong way Iâll rip your pretty little beating hearts out of your cheats.â Her voice was stained with intent and hit the air in a poisonous way. She stopped in front of Sophia and Marshall, she lend in closely to the two of them âDonât make a fool of me.â She whispered for only them to hear, before stepping back and extending her arm though her eyes still on the two young dancers, as her black staff was tossed to her.
Without another word to the line of dancers she made her way to the stage to welcome the guests. The men and woman cheered as she walked in front of the red current. âWelcome and thank you for joining us this evening, I promise you wonât be disappointed, but in respect of the dancers we do ask that you do not video tape the performance and no flash photography. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.â With that she snapped her fingers causing the stage to go black, giving her a moment to get off stage, within seconds the red current lifted and a familiar song started and with that the first set of dancers were up of course in the proper costuming for this number. She stood back stage making sure everyone was in their spots as she was being tightly forced into a black leather corset, she would go out in the middle f the song, t shake her ass and get a little more risquĂ© then the rest of the girls.
"You know, as fine as you can be when being a human spider." Alevina remarked as she scoffed a little, shaking her head slightly and then drinking some more of her drink. She looked up to the two and flicked glances between the two. "Are you guys going to Alaska's party tonight?" She asked, tilting her head to the side slightly and raising an eyebrow. "I probably won't if it's just a thing for all the dancers..."
A two-headed man from the freak show walked past them and she instantly tightened her grip around Desmondâs hand. Not because he was a freak, but because she suddenly didnât trust anyone except for Desmond. She followed him out of his trailer and then spoke in a complete monotone voice as they walked. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that."
"Come on, I'll introduce you to some of the nicer people around here." He pulled Violet to where he saw the trio. "Violet, this is Levi, Wyatt, and Wes. They are part of the and I hate using this word, Freak Show. To be honest, all people are freaks. Levi, as you can tell is Half Spider, Wyatt and Wes, are immortal... Which we all gain immortality when we joined this place. They also have the power to combine into one person. Levi, Wyatt, and Wes, this is Violet the new girl." Desmond said with elaborate hand motions. He was trying to make things better for Violet. This type of introduction had blown up in his face in previous years. He hoped this year wasn't the case.
âI honestly donât see anything wrong with you, your hot, top half and bottom half.â Wesley smirked to the girl. Wyatt shooting him a look blowing a puff of smoke in his face. Wes swatted at the smoke, he hated his brothers damn habit.
âYeah were going, we always at least make an appearanceâŠâ Wyatt started but was cut off by his brother âYeah, Ally would strangle both of us if we didnât at least show up. He rolled his eyes.
The Twins turned when they heard Desmondâs voice as he introduced everyone. Wyatt simply smiled to the girl and bowed his head lightly before offering his hand âPleasure, to meet you Miss Hayes.â He said in a gentlemen like to before looking to the ringleaders brother âEvening.â He nodded to Desmond.
âFound a new girlfriend already, hey doc, I donât think Ally will be to happy bout that.â Wyatt Smirked, he really knew how to piss people off, it the worst ways possible âYou Bringing her to Allyâs party, thatâs wouldnât be a smart move on your part.â He chuckled, noting the fact that the new girl was holding Desmondâs. Wyatt was probably one of the only other person that actually knew about Alaska and Desmond, He had caught them once together and had made remarks such as these ever since. âIâd be careful Vi, Alaska is liable to find a way to kill you.â He smirked his sinister smirk and his two K9 fangs were very noticeable.
She looked round at being introduced to a girl, no wait... she knew this girl. It was the one that she'd tried to be kind to before and had just freaked out before. She saw Violet holding hands with Desmond and rolled her eyes. Of course. A boy would calm her down. Levi forced a smile to Violet and then tilted her head slightly. "Pleasure to meet you, sweetie." She said, before shaking her head slightly and looking away. Well, it was pretty predictable. Some girl trying to comfort another girl would just be like any other stranger. BUT WAIT! Attractive guy comes along and tries being nice, and all of a sudden she'd found someone she could trust, even if she was perfectly nice to the girl when she was knelt on the ground getting grass stains all over her dress. She sighed gently, dropping the false smile and then getting more to drink. "Hey Wes. I thought you and Alaska had a thing going on?" She asked when the mention of Desmond and Alaska was brought up. "I mean, you're always going into her dressing room... going private for about half an hour or so..." She raised an eyebrow to him, silently asking him, "Were you making sexy time?"
âDonât make a fool of me.â Alaska growled.
That actually scared her since she never wanted to be on Alaska's bad side. She waited until they had to go up. She couldn't wait to preform the dance and she was pretty hyped up. She could have turned into a cat right then and there , but she kept her cool. She watched the girls on stage and they were 'okay', of course she could do better, but she was in the finale and not the main part. She turned her sexy on and sang a little song in her head. She needed peace to reach more of her inner core. Once the girls were finished she let a deep sigh.
"We're up." She said with a seductive smile.
âI wouldnât do anything with her if my life depended on it, sheâs too damn bitchy.â He finally said in a serious, though agitated tone.
âMore like she wouldnât do anything with you.â Wyatt added with a laugh. Wyatt looked to the young girls who seemed scared âWhy donât I take her off your hands, I wouldnât mind showing her around.â The nicer twin looked to Desmond, before glancing to the young girl offering his hand to Violet.
Wesley scoffed crossing his arms in a pouty like manor âYeah whatever see you guys at the party.â He frowned as he took off in the direction of him and his brotherâs trailer.

Once he joined the other dancers, he knew all eyes were on him and Sophia. If they screwed, a life in the back would be their future. He watched the first group perform, and the audience was already out of their seats. Mocha would perform in the third group, being one of the few male dancers. As the second group came back in, he walked out with the three other girls performing with him, Alexis and Mallory. It's show time.Â
They started out strong and sexy, getting the crowd as riled up as possible. Marsh pulled a fankick and roars of approval reverberated around the audience. They were nothing to the first group with Alaska, but most likely the closest. Once they finished, another group came out so Alaska, Sophia, and Marshall could make any final arrangements.Â
"Any final regrets?" He asked Alaska, watching the group out of the corner of his eye. He looked at Sophia, who looked a like nervous. His eyes started to glow pink as he tried to make emotions change from nervousness to confidence. It really tired him, and made him stumble back. Alex caught him, asking if he was okay, and Marshall did a handspring to readjust. He looked to Alaska once more, and prepared to perform.Â
Victor chose his most innocent looking puppet Lucy to carry âherâ doll to the new girl. As he reached her he got in to character and said âhi hereâs a gift, welcome to the carnival please take good care of my dolly, he will help get used to hereâ.
One of the twins, he had to be Wyatt, smiled at her and nodded slightly. âPleasure, to meet you Miss Hayes.â Violet smiled vaguely back, at least this guy seemed ok.
âFound a new girlfriend already, hey doc, I donât think Ally will be to happy about that.â The other twin interrupted and the smile disappeared from Violet's face. Of course, the good and the bad twin. âYou Bringing her to Allyâs party, thatâs wouldnât be a smart move on your part.â The guy smirked and flashed a pair of fangs. Violet tightened her grip once again, but then blushed when realizing she was almost crushing Desmond's hand. The other ones had also noticed how she was clinging to Desmond, but she still didn't want to let go. The whole situation was still too much for her. Maybe it would be better tomorrow, but she doubted it.
âWhy donât I take her off your hands, I wouldnât mind showing her around.âThe nicer twin looked to Desmond, before glancing to Violet offering his hand to her. "I..." Violet tried to figure out what to say, when a girl suddenly walked up to them and handed Violet a baby doll. âHi hereâs a gift, welcome to the carnival please take good care of my dolly, he will help get used to hereâ. Violet reluctantly took the dool with her free hand.
"Wyatt, I just told her about her situation. I think that she needs some time alone, to think. You know how hard it is for people to get over the fact that they are... Stuck here forever. It's nothing against you, I think your one of the better guys here, but she needs some time. Everyone does when they first get here," Desmond started, "and get that damn brother of yours in line." He needed to smoke. He didn't smoke in front of anybody. It would ruin his image. Of course he didn't smoke cigarettes, he smoked a pipe. He was off musing about how the apple smoke would taste, a doll walked up, and offered herself to Violet, "and that's our resident mechanic. He can control puppets. He's been here a while. Don't be fooled. It's not actually him, he's somewhere around. In a coffin." He leaned into Violet's ear and whispered, "That doll. Don't trust it. I don't trust Victor as far as I can throw him."
