Description

Image

Name:
Riku Knoxx

Age:
25

Species:
Human

Image

Height:
5' 11"

Weight:
146lbs.

Appearance:
Riku has very long, healthy looking hair, longer than most females to be exact. Riku has a very well toned body and he isn't afraid to walk around topless. Riku also has a very attractive face. He has a very charming smile including his pearly white teeth, he has yellow, beady almost suspicious and secretive looking eyes, when the only thing he really has to hide is his past and dark, long luscious lashes. Riku doesn't like wearing tight clothing at all, or any clothing that would make him feel uncomfortable in that matter. He's always wearing Indian styled clothing and very foreign looking jewelry. Either that or he'll walk around with baggy pants and no shirt. Depends on his mood, I guess. Riku is also always wearing a golden bracelet with a red jewel in the center... it's almost like it's stuck to him.

Voice:
Ian Harding

Image

Abilities\skills\weapons:
Riku can jump very far and very high. Riku is also very strong but, he's too lazy to put that skill to any good use.

Riku has a demonic golden bracelet around his wrist with a crimson jewel in the middle. He can transform using it, but only does it when absolutely necessary , because he loses control of himself and could sometimes do some pretty rash things to allies. Riku also carries around a golden katana.

Personality:
Riku is very laid back about everything. He likes to just enjoy himself and take things easy. Riku has all the traits for someone who would usually make a terrible leader, such as, lazy, perverted, sarcastic, stubborn, but he shows great affection towards his teammates and actually makes a very care-free but charismatic leader. If Riku wants really something, he'll most definitely drop his laziness and get off his ass to make sure he gets what he wants. Riku loves traveling, especially with his team. Riku also really likes young girls, but he knows his limits. Riku is a very secretive and mysterious man, but he's always very outgoing. Riku can get a little hyper sometimes, but he's almost always calm.

History:
Riku's past is a complete mystery to everyone around him. (Will be discovered later on.)

So begins...

Kyanna vaguely registered that she wasn't on her own anymore, and that someone was saying something to her, but it was inconsequential. She was too far into her imaginings of what their adventure would be like and her doubts in her own abilities led her daydream to become a daymare. She imagined herself unable to help as the others were killed in front of her before being killed herself. There were other scenarios besides but that was the one that stuck in her mind the most and would likely haunt her dreams for a few nights. What if I'm not strong enough? She didn't notice that she had whispered that sentence under her breath, as she subconsciously wrapped her arms around herself.

Neik clicked his tongue and closed his eyes after hearing Kyanna's words. He wasn't one to normally care about something like this, but he felt that he needed to confirm everyone's resolve towards seeing this mission through. And so he opened his eyes once more, and slung his rucksack in an underhanded throwing motion, launching it straight past Kyanna until it slammed against the trunk of a tree just ahead of them. The sound was loud enough to wake anyone from the common daydream, which was Neik's cue to speak.

"If you're so unsure of yourself, then why are you even here?" he said, pausing for a moment to allow her to register that she was being addressed as he began walking past and ahead of her towards the tree. "This isn't going to be easy... Some of us might even end up dying. If you aren't prepared to deal with that much, then you should just go home..." Pausing again, Neik took the same pose he did while inside the inn, resting his back against the decently sized tree; his person covered in the coolness of the tree's shadow. The only thing that could be vividly seen within it were his deep, almost glowing red eyes, which were trained upon Kyanna. "This is a mission for weapons... Not a princess who doesn't know what she's doing. Understand? Anna...?" he finished, adding a bit of provocation in his voice as he intentionally uttered the very name she so clearly and openly despised. He wasn't purposely trying to hurt her feelings, or even get a kick out of her reaction to the name she banned from the group's lips just moments previously. He was testing her. Not necessarily for her sake, nor his own, but for that of the group's. To see if they could truly rely on what seemed to be such a half-assed resolve. It was clear that at least 3 of the 5 in the group were completely set on seeing this thing through no matter what. But Kyanna was the first to admit she wasn't too sure about herself...

Whatever his reason behind provoking Kyanna might have been, he was fully ready for her to back up the words of warning she gave over using that name; his guard never fully lowered for any occasion, thanks to his severe training over the years. That being said, he knew nothing of Kyanna's abilities, and if nothing else, this might prove to be the perfect opportunity to see just how useful she can be. Perhaps he could prove her wrong? Or help her understand that she, in fact, was not strong enough after all... Either way, the two of them would have their answer soon enough.

The sound of something heavy hitting the trunk of a tree snapped Kyanna out of her imaginings in time to hear Neik speak. Her gaze landed on him as he moved past her to lean against the tree and a small frown made its way onto her lips as she contemplated what he said.

The main reason she was there was because her mother had recently fallen ill from the disease they were supposed to find a cure for. Her mother was her world, the only person she really cared about and so she wanted to help her. But Kyanna couldn't help but feel weak and useless, she had always been more of a healer than a fighter and physically she wasn't all that strong. She knew some spells that her mother had helped her to make, and could use her daggers fairly well, but compared to others like Neik she knew she was probably useless.

Upon hearing the name "Anna", her temper flared and in one swift motion Kyanna drew a dagger from its sheathe and threw it towards Neik, the blade thumping into the tree trunk a couple of inches to the left of his head. Her lips were pulled back, showing off her teeth in a snarl as she glared at him. She spoke in a low, cold tone, "I thought I'd said never to call me that, or did that go over your pretty little head?"

Neik didn't flinch or change his position in the slightest as he felt the blade cut through the air and join itself with the tree he was leaning against. He didn't even look at it while it was prominently sticking out beside him. His eyes were solely on Kyanna as she was quietly fuming. After listening to her single sentence, he chose to speak in return.

"Oh, I heard you... I just don't care. You see, while something as silly as a mere nickname is all it takes to upset you, being around someone who is unsure of their own conviction is something that annoys me. Especially if that person is to be one of my allies until further notice. How can I trust someone who doesn't trust in their own capabilities?" he said, pausing for a moment to pull the dagger from the tree without looking away from Kyanna. Giving it a firm pull, he managed to yank it from its mantle. "You have a lot of fire inside you. Enough for you to get pissed over something so petty. If you ask me, you'd be better off using it to fuel your resolve, rather than that of mindless anger. Otherwise the strength you're afraid you don't have is being wasted on pointless doubts..." Neik paused yet again, finally looking down at the dagger in his hand.

He played with the tip of the blade with the gloved fingers of his other hand, checking it out. "Nice blade..." he said, looking back up at Kyanna. "I can tell you take good care of it." Neik then stood the dagger straight up with the end of his index finger, until it began floating in mid-air above his hand. "It'd be a waste to damage such a beautiful dagger on a weapon like myself... You should be more careful with your equipment in the future." Finally done speaking, Neik let the dagger slowly float back to its owner, until it gently rested back within its sheath on its own. Or so it seemed...

Neik held his eyes on Kyanna's for a short while after this display as another calm breeze flew between them, their hair ruffling in the wind as the sound of grass and leaves danced around the area surrounding them. If someone were to pass by and witness the current scene, they wouldn't have been able to tell that the young man standing in the shade of the tree had just been so dramatically threatened by the young lady standing across from him. It was almost...quaint, as a matter of fact.

A soft laugh escaped her lips as her body visibly drained of any anger she held mere moments ago. She broke eye contact with Neik, allowing her gaze to drift upwards to look at the sky. An almost sad smile appeared on her face. "I only really get angry over two things," she raised her left arm, holding up one finger. "One, when someone I care about gets hurt," a second finger joined the first, "two, when someone calls me Anna... I have some bad memories connected with that name." She shook her head to clear her thoughts before she ended up reliving those memories.

Kyanna lowered her arm to her side before looking at Neik again. "A weapon, huh? Is that what you really consider yourself to be? It must be sad to only be surviving rather than truly living..."

Neik listened to Kyanna's explanation, tilting his head back and slightly to his left as he watched her. He didn't really care about what made her angry, just that she was ready for this journey. That being said, he chose to patiently wait until she was finished, which, fortunately for him, wasn't a long wait at all. After she finished with a question, Neik let out a soft chuckle; more to himself than to her.

"You might see it that way... But I am perfectly content with who I am and what I'm capable of, Kyanna. Can you say the same for yourself?" he said, finishing in a slightly more stern tone of voice. Just after asking a question of his own, the door to the inn swung open and slammed against the outer wall of the inn with full enthusiasm. Yet another headache, arriving to greet Neik's already near-exhausted brain. This was going to be a loooong journey alright...

Clementine didn't know what to do, after she witnessed the things that happened between Neik and Kyanna. The journey has just begun, and there's already so much passion in the interraction. In order to flush away the serious mood that was left, she decided to tell a joke. "Two breads were being baked in the furnace. One of them told the other 'It's so hot here' and the other exclaimed 'AAAH! A talking bread' HAHAHAHAhahaha...ha..." Her loud and cheerful laugh was getting quieter and more awkward, until she stopped. Then she thought about Neik and Kyanna's conversation. Even if a member wasn't sure in their abilities, even if their skills were way below the required for this journey, even if they weren't reliable at all, once they had the letter, they had to join the mission. Clementine could relate to Kyanna. She was afraid of dying because she wasn't strong enough. She was even more afraid that someone else might die in order to save her life... again, because she wasn't strong enough. Nobody asks you if you're skilled and can fight. Once you get a letter, you're involved. She wouldn't deny, this bugged her and seemed unreasonable to her, but decided not to think, or talk about this, as she was walking along with everyone with her usual smile on her face.

"So, which way is the dragon?" Clementine asked, skipping with her legs like a child. Before she could receive an answer, a pack of 6 feet tall wolves went in their way. One of them attacked Clementine, who immediately took out her sword... and immediately after that lost it, because when she stabbed the wolf, it got lost in the huge pack with the sword inside it. Apparantly, it wasn't fatally damaged. These wolves were very powerful, so it would take time to beat them. If you don't have the time, then you should find a way to escape them.

After Neik and Kyanna's conversation was interrupted by a terrible joke, the group had set off. Not even a few minutes after they had left the small village the inn belonged to, and they were already being attacked by a pack of wild wolves. These wolves were often considered Wolf Gods, which were borderline monsters, rather than regular animals. It wasn't something unfamiliar to Neik in the slightest. He'd slain many of these giant beasts before he was even 15. However, that didn't mean they weren't a force to be reckoned with...

Hearing them before they could be seen, Neik immediately jumped back and took a defensive pose as a blue aura suddenly surrounded him. The next moment, he'd pulled an intricately woven sword from thin air, which materialized in the form of appeared to be thousands of shattered crystals, until its form was vividly complete. Once this strange from of magic, the likes of which none there aside from the user itself had seen before now, was finished illuminating Neik's body, he stood at the ready.

"Wolves!" he shouted just as the pack emerged from the cover of trees beside the group's path. Clementine responded to their sudden appearance with a very clumsy attempt at fending one of them off, which resulted in her rapier being stolen from her by the wolf whose hide she thrust into. The hilt of the weapon was seen for a flash before it disappeared within the pack of wolves as they stood their ground, snarling at their prey whilst pacing back and forth, searching for some kind of opening. There was a total of 5 wolves in all; one for each member of the group fending them off. Whether that number was meant to evenly fill these wolves' bellies or for each hero to have a chance at slaying such a monstrous beast was still up for debate. That being said, Neik wasn't about to die here to a bunch of mangy mutts, even if that meant he had to slay them all himself.

Scowling at Clementine's poor performance, Neik charged in ahead of the group, as was his style; quick, preemptive, and powerful. Pulling out a couple of small blades from his blue aura, he flung each one at the wolves flanking his left and right; the speed and aim of the blades were unprecedented, far faster than what Kyanna had thrown in a fit of anger towards Neik moments previously. The blades jammed into the eye of either wolf, stunning them for as long as required to allow Neik the chance he needed to go after his personal target; the wolf with the rapier stuck in its back. Giving the wolf barely any time to counter, Neik jumped, kicked the wolf in the side of the head, and swung his sword down onto its back. The wolf having been in motion as he did so threw his trajectory off a tad, thus resulting in him losing the desired power that was intended. His sword now stuck halfway through the beast's back, it was clear that it was a goner; more than half of its flesh was nearly cleaved in two, and it was bleeding profusely. Not letting go of his weapon in the way Clementine had done before him, he switched his hold on it, now propelling himself in midair as the wolf ran to the side of the pack. 2 other wolves were closing in on his rear, so he chose to act fast. Flipping up above the wolf, he planted his boot directly down onto the bottom of the hilt of Clementine's blade, jamming the rapier into its intended target: the monster's heart.

In a loud thump of fur and flesh, the giant wolf fell to the ground, dead. Wasting no more time, Neik spun around to the wolf's other side, using the leverage and momentum to free his blade, whilst clutching hold of Clementine's rapier with his free hand, pulling it from the beast lying dead at his feet with a spin to face the 2 wolves closing in. Now slightly covered in the blood of the monster, Neik prepared for the second assault, almost forgetting that he was not alone as he usually was. Bringing the blade up that reminded him of that, he tossed it, hilt up, to its rightful owner, who caught it with a fumbling display of her regular clumsiness.

"NEVER lose your weapon in battle...!" he spat out at the girl behind him, not taking his eyes off the wolves who chose to stop halfway through their assault, which now went back to snarling threats once more. He was angry at her amateur display of fighting, and had a few more choice words for her, but they would have to come later, after they were finished with this lot...

Kyanna was feeling somewhat content as the group walked along. That was until they were attacked by a pack of five wolves. Five giant wolves. Each of them towered over her and she certainly didn't like the look of their claws and fangs. An almost frustrated sigh slipped past her lips as Clementine lost her sword and Neik charged forward to fight in an almost elegant manner.

As Neik worked on killing the wolf and getting Clementine's rapier back, Kyanna tilted her head back slightly, reaching inside her to draw on her Mana reserves. She smiled widely and the thrill she felt whenever she used her magic, it was almost addicting. She shoved that to the side, clearing her head as she guided a thin layer of healing magic to wrap around everyone in the group. A quiet muttering of "angeli micans nitore" forced the magic to settle into place. This spell was one of the ones that drained her Mana the most, although it was also one of her most useful. It would heal any minor injuries as they were inflicted, therefore allowing everyone to not be slowed down by the wounds inflicted upon them.

After placing the spell over everyone, she turned to face one of the wolfs at the edge of the pack. Kyanna stretched out her arms, her wrists pressed together with her palms facing towards the wolf. A buildup of red magic started in front of her hands, the Mana swiftly turning into fire "phoenicis sagitta". As she spoke, the bolt of fire left her hands, swiftly turning into a bird of fire that stretched out its wings and flew towards the wolf. Several more followed after it. The wolf, sensing the danger, managed to dodge the first two, the third striking its left side with the forth hitting its back.

Shaking off the attacks and ignoring the pain it was in, the large wolf charged towards Kyanna and she slowly walked to meet it. She drew her daggers from their sheathes and as she lifted her arms upwards, roots of nearby trees grew up in front of her, locking together to form a wall with a cry of "naturae obice". The wolf crashed into the wall and Kyanna could see that the plants barely held it back.

She took a deep breath as she started to feel her Mana draining more and decided that she needed to finish this quickly. She walked towards the wall and swiftly climbed up it, getting to the top just as the wolf moved onto its hind legs to try and reach her. Mana wrapped around her daggers, sharpening them and making their reach longer. With a sad smile, she ducked under the wolf's head as it tried to bite her and shoved her daggers forwards to strike the wolf in the chest. Magic ripped through the flesh, tearing it's way to the creature's heart and ending its life.

Kyanna jumped backwards from the wall as the wolf's body fell down, the weight of it crushing the roots that had been her shield only moments before. Upon landing, she crouched down, breathing deeply as she glanced at her daggers. That seemed very much like wind magic, yet she'd never done anything like that before. Well, Kyanna thought with a nod, I guess I'll have to think about this some more later.

Riku Knoxx

Riku looked down at Clementine.
It's no big deal, please don't worry about it too much.
Riku looked at the owner and apologized a few times before heading outside. Just as he lazily made his way outside, he seen Kyanna throwing a dagger towards Neik's head. Riku rolled his eyes and started walking towards the forest.

Almost as soon as they got inside the forest, they were surrounded by wolves. Big wolves. Riku noticed how everyone jumped into action, and thought that this would be a good time to see just how skilled his teammates were. Riku jumped up high and reached his arm up, grabbing onto a tree branch. Riku can jump quite far and high. Using his strength, he pulled his body up with his one arm and flipped himself upwards, landing in a sitting position on the branch. Riku looked down and noticed Clementine had already showed signs of clumsiness. Riku shook his head slightly as he chuckled and rested his face in his palm. He looked down at Neik next and nodded slightly. Impressive, he has a very elegant fighting style. Riku turned his head towards Kyanna.
She's okay, but there's definitely room for improvement.
Riku looked around for Zeyphrine but he couldn't spot her. That's odd.

After the battle was finished, Riku jumped down.
Good job. I just want to note a few things.
Riku looked down at Clementine.
Next time, when you stab the wolf, try not to get your sword stuck, 'kay?
Riku smiled teasingly at Clementine. He then looked at Kyanna.
Try not to use such a powerful healing spell next time, save your mana. Your defense skills are great, the whole wall thing was pretty cool. You're quite skilled, but there is definitely room for improvement.
He pat both Clementine and Kyanna on the heads before looking at Neik and shooting him a thumbs up. Riku didn't feel as though he needed to give Neik any heads up. He was already very skilled and seemed as if he knew what he were doing.
Oh, and if you're wondering why I didn't participate in this battle, it's because I didn't feel like it.
Riku smiled and stated bluntly to the group. It wasn't exactly a full lie, he really didn't feel like fighting, but he also wanted to see if his teammates needed improvement. And it appeared so. Riku would've jumped in battle if they were in a harmful situation, but judging by their skills, fighting these wolves wasn't too hard. He was just thankful that there were only five...

Neik saw Kyanna's skills out of the corner of his eye as he stared down the wolf in front of him; her skills were true, but every moment was a practical near miss. It was obvious that she had the talent and the know-how, but lacked field experience. But that wasn't anything that couldn't simply be gained over time. The wolf's yellow eyes clashed with Neik's red, neither of them backing down. After it noticed its brother crash to the floor behind Neik, it faltered for a second, which Neik didn't miss seeing. At that moment, he charged forward once again, pulling out yet another small blade from nowhere, throwing right in the wolf's face, which couldn't dodge in time. The blade dug into the spot below the beast's eye, blinding it with pain and shock for a few seconds. Neik rushed in low, building up an attack that was powerful enough to cleave its head right off its shoulders. But before he could, a second wolf came around his flank and slammed into the one currently shaking its head in anguish. The impact sent the stunned wolf tumbling out of Neik's path, and the one who had saved its brother jumped back the way it came, nimble and quick.

Neik now bringing his sword back to his side, he shifted his eyes between his left and right, wondering where the attack was going to come from. However, no attack ever came. Seeing how fearsome their prey was, as well as now outnumbered, the pack of wolves chose to make a hasty retreat, diving back into the forest and out of sight -- but not before Neik pulled the blade from the wolf whose face he scarred; the dagger flew back to his hand as though it were on a string, and then burst into several crystals shortly after, along with his other sword.

Knowing the fight was well over and done with, Neik turned his back on the forest and crossed his arms. He was currently wondering about the barrage of questions he was likely to receive after things died down, had anyone noticed. Looking up to the trees, right a Riku, he figured someone must have, and if there was only one, it would have been him. Neik was a Swordmaster: an individual whose skill is mostly legend, and a rarity to witness firsthand. He didn't tell any of them about his class, not wanting to hear all their questions about it, but now, some of them would likely be too ecstatic over having seen it so suddenly, and without warning. Not telling them all what he was beforehand might have proven a mistake on his part, he thought as Riku came falling out of the tree he was watching the battle from. Once he landed, however, he merely spoke with evaluating words to everyone, and only chose to give Neik a thumbs up. He gave a small scoffing chuckle at the sight and turned his head away from the man. At least one of them wasn't going to be annoying about it, but he disliked the gesture all the same.

Kyanna nodded at Riku's words as she got to her feet, knowing them to be true, although she pouted a little as the lazy man patted her on the head. She then glanced down at her daggers which oddly enough didn't have any blood on them. She supposed it was from the wind magic, it had probably pushed the red liquid away from the blades. Still, she started inspecting the weapons for any sign of damage, not quite sure how they had taken having her Mana pushed into the metal.

Finding nothing wrong with her daggers, for now at least, she slid them back into their sheathes before crossing her arms. She leaned on her right leg, tapping her left foot on the ground as she chewed on her bottom lip. An oddly serious expression was on her face as she thought, looking rather out of place on her usually vacant appearance.

Wind magic. Ideally she would have taken her time in exploring the limits of what she could and couldn't do with this, normally she would've kept traveling and taken time off to see just what this new branch of magic would allow her to do. However, she was with a group and time was important, she couldn't afford to waste any with training, and it would likely annoy the group if she kept stopping to practice, so that was out. Well, I guess I'll just have to see what happens, if we end up stopping somewhere for any length of time then I'll see. Until then I suppose I will try to consciously push my wind magic into the blades when I get the chance.

Nodding at her plan of action, Kyanna then glanced over at Neik, pondering the odd skills he had shown during the battle. It seemed almost like magic with how he had pulled the blades seemingly from nowhere. She tilted her head to the left as she studied him for a few moments before shrugging and looking away. He was strong and skilled, that was all that mattered to her. If Neik wanted to tell them what his abilities were then fine, otherwise she wasn't bothered either way.

Still, she could feel the curiosity eating at her.

Neik looked at Kyanna, knowing that she wanted to ask, but was thankful she didn't. Looking around, he caught sight of a slightly discouraged Clementine, which he felt was right, as her failure just now was quite hard indeed, and it needed to be addressed. Riku seemed like more of a decent "leader" than Neik had originally thought, as he was sure he would have to be the one to lecture Clementine, which wouldn't have been nearly as soft. Whatever the case, he was glad that she was too down to question him about his abilities at the moment. Looking around once again, he tried to spot the little fox-girl, but couldn't find her. After walking around a bit, searching for her through the tall grass surrounding them, he gave up and simply asked the others.

"Hey, where's the fox? I lost sight of her before the battle. Think she was eaten?" he said, placing a hand on his hip as he waited for someone to answer, hoping it might be the girl in question. Zeyphrine was small and didn't appear to have very strong fighting capabilities, so perhaps she was hiding someplace, unaware that the wolves were no longer around. She would have to show herself soon enough, or else be left behind as they continued on to find their dragon. Neik seriously just wanted to be done with this. He wouldn't have even been asked in the first place, had he not promised someone that he would volunteer, so he couldn't wait to be finished with the mission. That being said, they were all meant to stay together, so her disappearance was now starting to annoy...

"Zeyphrine?" Clementine looked for the fox girl too. "She suddenly disappeared..." Why in the world did she say this? Now the rest will be annoyed by her saying the obvious.

Clementine's eyes widened, and her pupils shrunk, as she quickly pointed at a person, dressed in animal fur, kidnapping Zeyphrine, who was unconscious. Clemmy quickly ran to see where will the man bring the fox girl. Of course, she managed to trip and fall in bushes, with a thud, loud enough to cause the man stop and turn around. He didn't see anyone.

"What now?" Clemmie whispered to whoever was the closest to her in a nervous tone.

"Clearly." said Neik after Clementine's statement. He surveyed the area with his eyes a few more times until he noticed the grass a good couple yards away from them shifting a bit. "There." he said, pointing out the rustling. Before anyone could stop her, Clementine had already charged towards it. Neik quickly chased after her, feeling annoyed that this child was already becoming such a burden. He caught up with her just as she fell face-first into the ground, which made enough noise to cause a man who was carrying their little unconscious fox away from the area. This made Neik crouch low, concealing his presence. He listened to Clementine's question, and spoke back with annoyance in his tone. "Stay. Here." He gestured for her to stay by placing his hand in mid air before her, as if to block her from moving forward. The next moment, Neik began a stealthy crouch-run towards their new target. It wasn't long before he was within in enough range to take the man down, which he did.

Pulling out a thin sword from nowhere like he did previously, he lunged at an alarming speed; almost too fast to see, aside from a blue and black blur, with a hint of a reddish gleam. Before the man could turn, or even react with a change in expression, he was knocked down hard into the ground by Neik's elbow, which struck the back of the man's neck, knocking him unconscious. Neik quickly snatched Zeyphrine by the back of her shirt, dangling the little fox-girl above the ground with one hand, and jumped back a few large steps, creating a comfortable distance from him and their kidnapper. He gently set Zeyphrine down beside Clementine and looked around once more.

"It isn't over..." he said, scowling a tad as he continued eying specific locations through the tall grass. Suddenly, there were at least 7 more enemies, all similar to the man Neik had just knocked out. They were all carrying clubs and wore tattered clothing that seemed rather...primitive. "It seems we might have got caught in the middle of a hunting battle between these cavemen and those wolves... They must have been taking the fox away as a last resort effort to acquiring food for the night, not knowing that it was part human." said Neik, keeping his eyes trained on the small group of cavemen. They outnumbered their group 2 to 1, which was why Neik chose a hasty snatch-and-grab.

Allowing his thin sword to burst into a light of many crystals, he pulled out the sword he used on the wolves a few minutes ago, aiming it at the group before him. "These people don't mean US any harm, but I can't say the same for our little fox. The way they see it right now, we just stole their dinner a second time after knocking out what appears to be their leader. I suggest a calm, slow retreat, until we can no longer see them, nor they us." said Neik. Pausing for a moment, he turned his head to Riku, who was now standing beside him a few feet away. "What do you say, 'Leader'?" Neik asked. "Fight or flight?" he continued, pausing once more to look back ahead before finishing. "Whatever you choose, you should do so fast, as these men likely won't give us any more time to decide..." Just as Neik pointed this out, the group looked rather restless. They had already taken their leader away from the center between Riku's and their group, shielding him. They were giving the group taunts and gestures that made no real sense to a normal civilian. It wouldn't be long before they grew impatient with Neik's seemingly indecisive action.

Just before anyone else could do anything, Zeyphrine and the knocked down tribe member weren't the only unconscious ones. Clementine already looked like she was dead. The cave epople seemed primitive, but they knew how to work together against the others. Their gestures, which were signs for a plan, went away, and all the enemies in front of our heroes went calm, motionless and soundless. They were holding their breaths, as another member, who was hid very well, quietly opened a pot of a weird potion. The chemical reaction between the ingredients in it would quickly make everyone who were breathing unconscious, before they would know. Even a sharp person like Neik could easily make the mistake to fall a victim of the opitate.

The heat invaded Clementine's body, as her face was soaked in sweat and tied with a rope. Despite of the sweat drops on her eyes, she finally managed to open them. The horrifying sight of Zeyphrine, tied with a rope, hanging upside down over a flaming pit caused Clemmy to forget about the weakness after the freshly regained conscious. Also, did they really have to lit a whole pit for one dinner?

"And now..." One of the tribe spoke in clear langwage. "Let the sacrifise to our Flame God begin!"
Clementine was trying to do her best to reach her sword and cut the rope. She hoped that the rest were awake too.

Waking up wrapped tight in a bunch of ropes while hanging upside down and off to the side was definitely NOT how he imagined himself spending the afternoon. Annoyed, he looked around the area as the heat from the fire pit up ahead forced sweat forth from beneath his skin, noticing that the little fox who got them into this mess was now practically being roasted over a barbeque. Noticing the others hanging around beside him, Riku now awake, Neik spoke out, looking ahead once more.

"Well, we're off to a great start so far..." he said with a loud voice, annoyed sarcasm in his tone. Looking up, or rather...down, as it were, Neik noticed the sky was now growing rather orange, and it wasn't the color from the fire that was influencing the sight. Letting his head fall back down in frustration, he let out an audible scoff as the weight from the action shook him in his ropes. He knew this would be a bad idea from the start, but went along with their 'genius' leader's suggestion earlier. Neik had instantly recognized the potent toxin that was released from the pot earlier that day, and even told the remaining members who were left standing to hold their breaths, holding his own in as well. But that was when Riku, their leader, placed a hand on his shoulder and told him to let it happen. Neik was shocked at first, but the smile on his face as he looked forward at the group of savages made Neik feel as though he had a plan of some sort. It was ridiculous; Neik could have easily finished every last one of them in just a few slashes of his sword, but when he saw Riku fall to the floor, he realized that he had no choice but to concede. He just hoped that he was entrusting his life into the right hands with this plan...

"So... NOW what, oh righteous leader of ours?" he asked Riku, loudly again. He was just waiting for the signal to free them. It would be rather simple, him being a Swordmaster. One of the greatest perks of being one was that he could summon a blade from nowhere. Even if there were anti-summoning signs in the area, they were left void for someone like him, as the magic was sealed with a contract between his soul and another dimension. Of course, Kyanna was a witch. So she too seemed more than capable of removing their binds. But they didn't know about that, so it was better for him to use what they've already seen for now. That being said, he wanted to wait for right moment. Whenever Riku thought that was, Neik had no idea. However, they weren't exactly left with much time. Zeyphrine was about to be turned into a charred corpse. And for what, the god of these weirdos? How much longer was he expected to wait before unleashing everything he had against these freaks? Whatever the case, Neik wouldn't wait for much longer. Orders or no orders; Zeyphrine only had so long, and Neik didn't feel like hearing the screams of a little fox-girl pierce his ears as she was slowly burned alive...

Riku Knoxx

Riku looked over at Neik who was complaining to Riku and he chuckled.
Calm down.
Riku smiled at him before looking over the Zeyphrine. He did feel sympathy for her, she could definitely feel the heat, even if she wasn't in the fire. Riku looked at his feet and at the ropes that were wrapped around them. There seemed to be enough space to be able to jump without instantly getting pulled back down. He was tied to a thin piece of wood being held by two natives. Riku started swinging and the natives that were holding him seemed to be getting annoyed with him. While their leader was chanting, it appeared that they didn't want any distractions. Well, Riku could be a very distracting man at times... or so he told himself.

Riku had been swinging hard enough to land on top of the wooden board he hopped up in the air as high as the rope could reach and he landed back down on the wooden board with all his force. The board broke in two and one piece flew up, hitting one of the natives in the head. The rope became looser and he quickly slid the rope off of the board before giving the other native a swift kick in the face. It seemed he had caught most of their attention by now and the leader was chanting faster. Riku looked at Neik and he had a more serious look on his face than usual.
Do that sword thing and get yourself free from the ropes. Then do whatever, I don't care.
Riku got into fighting stance as the natives began to surround him.

Not wasting any time after Riku managed to break free of his binds, Neik summoned yet another sword, but the this time, it wasn't in his hand; it was floating above his feet, ready to strike through the rope holding him up, which it did. Neik flipped and spun in midair, landing on his feet whilst still bound by the ropes around his body. Using the same trick, he quickly cut them in a flash of silver, leaving not even a single scratch. The sword that was still hovering in the air was the one he used on the wolves, which was his trademark blade. Summoning two more in either hand, he ran towards Clementine and Kyanna. After cutting them free, while in-between fending off a couple of enemies here and there, he caught them both in either arm. Setting them down, he slashed either free and handed Clementine one of his blades.

"Don't...lose this one... Alright?" he said, holding up a finer of discipline before turning and running towards Riku and his enemies. Their leader was indeed powerful. He was holding his own without even a blade to help him out. That being said, Neik remembered that this man had a sword, which was nowhere to be found at the moment. At that point, Neik decided to throw the other blade he was holding at Riku, hoping he would catch it and use it to better defend himself. Now unarmed, two more enemies charged at Neik from either side, by which point Neik pulled his floating blade from the air with his mind, allowing it to slice into their backs as it whipped by before coming back to land within its owner's right hand. The two enemies fell in pain at that.

Taking up a defensive pose with his sword, Neik faced off against another set of enemies that were coming his way. He had hoped that Kyanna and Clementine would be capable of at least rescuing Zeyphrine from her current predicament, because he was a bit preoccupied at the moment...

Kyanna awoke abruptly, blinking away the blurriness of her vision before taking a look around her. She didn't have long to do so however, as Neik cut the ropes that held her upside down from a tree. Swiftly, she righted herself, landing in a crouch on the ground.

Looking around again, she saw Riku and Neik both facing off against the natives, which left herself and Clementine to rescue Zeyphrine. Drawing herself from her crouch, she looked towards the fire and saw a couple of the natives guarding it along with their leader who seemed to be chanting something.

With a soft frown she placed her hand on Clementine's shoulder, leaning close to whisper, "I'll distract them, rescue Zeyphrine if you can." Not waiting for a reply, Kyanna strode forwards, diving into her Mana and bringing it to the surface.

"Fero tui lupus tenebris noctis egressus," immediately a form started to rise from her shadow, shifting and growing until a pitch black wolf stood in front of the young witch. The wolf was bigger than the one's she usually managed to summon, although she supposed it was because her shadows were longer due to the setting sun. Looking closer, one would be able to tell that Kyanna no longer had a shadow of her own, the wolf having used to to come into existence.

With a loud howl, the shadow beast charged towards the nearest native who was guarding the fox girl.
