Appearance: Marcus stands just over 6'1" and weighs in at around 210lbs. He has a natural swag, and it makes him seem like the typical dashing rouge. He keeps his light-brown hair cut short, letting it fall just over the top of his ear. On his face he grows a goatee which he keeps trimmed. His hands are rough all over due to the training he had endured all his life, and on his right forearm just below his wrist the insignia of the Templar order is tattooed. On his back is a long scar running from right shoulder blade to left hip.
Personality: Marcus puts on a jolly jovial front. He spends much of the time on his travels drunk and trying to find the way into the many bedchamber of any wench or maiden that he comes into contact with. Despite this however; Marcus is a haunted and tortured man. He nights are filled with brutal nightmares that remind him of the things hes done, and will do. His only saving grace is that he was raised to have a strong constitution and that only has kept him just over the line from madness.
Equipment: Marcus never stays too long in one place. Due to this he tends to travel light so most of what he owns is always directly on his person. Some things of note that he does have are the belted leather hauberk that covers his torso and his father's sword that has "And So I Fall" engraved in its side.

Boon:Name: Sight of Beliar
Effect: If Marcus makes eye contact with someone he gains complete control over their mind and body. He is able to implement thought and ideas, even erase someone memory all together and give them a new one. If focused hard enough the Sight of Beliar can cause serious injuries and death upon its victims.
Activation: At will, has to be withing range.
Drawback: Drains energy depending on degree and number of people he uses it upon. Can only use its full power on one person at a time.
Levels:
1. The Sight of Beliar can be used to look inside the mind of another.
- Has little to no effect, done for prolonged amounts of time or on a strong willed person can cause fatigue.
2. The Sight of Beliar can penetrate ones mind and make them forget or apply false memories.
- Causes loss of magic abilities for a short time and slight exhaustion.
3. The Sight of Beliar can take control of ones body and if willed can cause death to the one under control.
- Causes loss of magic for a time and ,depending on number of people and degree, can cause up to extreme exhaustion or collapse.
Marcus Aliger was born and withing the city walls of Cyrilis, and only child to Atrum Aliger , a Templar hero, he was taken by the order and raised within the Grand Chapter House. Like so many other children that were chosen by the order he was molded into the perfect soldier, giving his first loyalty to the god of order and second to the Grand Master. Marcus never did welcome the lifestyle of the Templar that was thrust upon him, but he embraced it with welcoming regret. Upon reaching the age of sixteen every young man and woman training as Templar and are branded with the Templar insignia upon the bottom of their right forearm. They do this to spot deserters and to show undying brotherhood for the order.
The first thing that the Templar teach is that all magic is reserved for the gods and it is for that reason that those with magic are persecuted. Marcus took part in his first witch hunt at the age of eighteen. For three weeks the group of Templar that Marcus was in tracked a party of magi. When he and the other Templar had caught them Marcus was ordered to carry out the execution. The magi had been a man and women and their newborn child. That day Marcus did execute the family of mage, and when he did he lost all faith in the gods and himself.
A Templar without faith is easy to spot, and as such Marcus was constantly called to meetings with the priests and even the Grand Master. They constantly assured him that what the Order did was for the betterment of the world and the will of the gods. Marcus did not accept this, but he would hold his tongue and stay his actions because of faith in his father.
In the many years that would pass Marcus would rise to the rank of sergeant but would also become one of the finest witch hunters within the Order. He was not driven on by faith but by the fact that he had swore to his father that he would become a great Templar Knight. On the dawn of his twenty first birthday Marcus had awoken early just as he did every morning. This morning however was different. When Marcus gathered within the mess hall of the Grand Chapterhouse his head was filled with thoughts of all that were within. Slowly the many rushing thoughts began drive him to madness. He fell to the floor and screamed loudly, but as the others surrounded him to help the intensity of the voices in his head just grew stronger. Finally in a last fit of anguish before he slipped into sleep he yelled stop as loudly as his voice would allow. Every Templar in the room suddenly fell lifeless to the floor. When he awoke he sat within the healers ward in the Grand Chapterhouse. He did not know how, but he knew he was to blame when he heard that the Templar that rushed to his aid had died. It was that night that he left the Grand Chapterhouse, and never returned.
