Appearance: Stands at 5'6", Maurick appears to all intensive purposes a tramp. He dresses in ragged, somewhat dirty clothes - a plain brown, well worn tunic and trousers with a large green cape and deep hood. He is beginning to bald and his once black hair is now heavily tinged with grey. While he does appear old, he looks closer to 55 than 89 - due to his elven blood.
Nation of Origin: Oracia and Sayosia.
Magical abilities (if any): Aquakenesis and Healing,
Weapon of Choice: A wooden staff topped with a curved sickle blade.
Bio/History: Born in the kingdom of Oracia to a mother who was eccentric in the extreme, Maurick never knew his father - a Sayosian his mother met during one of her impromptu trips. Being a half-elf, Maurick faced some prejudice from the elves of Oracia and dreamed of travelling to his father's homeland. Following the death of his mother when he was 18, he left Oracia for good and travelled to Sayosia. It was here he discovered his skills in aquakenesis, having a far greater affinity for it than he had for healing. He travelled the islands of Sayosia for many years, working as a healer and teaching. He became well-known around the island. However, one day he saw a man attempting to draw water from the ocean but leave the salt behind. It was not working, and the man repeatedly drew the water and tasted before spitting it out and cussing.
After a few minutes of watching, Maurick approached the man and suggested that the man may require his assistance. The man flew into a rage at Maurick, screaming "Who do you think you are!? I am a real Sayosian, not a half-breed like you! I do not need your help! You walk around these islands like you belong here. Well you do not!" Maurick remained silent for a moment before walking away from the man. That day he left the islands and returned to the mainland and has lived a travellers life - occasionally drifting into towns and cities but generally sticking to forests and uninhabited areas.
Personality: Though young and generous in his younger years, the years of self-imposed isolation have made him somewhat cold and grouchy, yet he is still known for occasional kindness.
Other: He has picked up a lot of knowledge on his travels.
