Welcome to the Plaza! Have a look around, there must be something that interests you. You can find almost every store you can think of so have a good time!
She let out a quiet chuckle, sipping her tea once more, strange people, strange world. Oh, how lucky they were to not be her... With this destructive power that seemed to burn whoever touched the light of her. Her thoughts were interrupted with the sudden string of a music box. Her phone, she sighed, sometimes she disliked distractions..
Cato yawned, if he was going to keep exploring he'd need some help. He ducked out of the crowds and into a nearby cafe. "Coffee" he mumbled to the cashier as he pulled out a handful of change.
"I think" said Cato, his voice shaking, "that you've made a mistake." Cato's shadow started to slowly move and began to cover the hunter. Cato started to regain his confidence if it came to that he didn't plan on going down without a fight.
A sudden sharp incredibly loud sound broke the tension, a window cracked and a strange girl threw herself into the cafe. Cato glanced at the hunter, he seemed surprised, this wasn't a trap... well at least not his trap. A siren blared outside as people rushed around, just what the hell had happened? He momentarily ignored the hunter and turned to the new girl, "are you alright" he asked as he stood up and began to approach her, "what happened?" Cato couldn't deny the excitement he was feeling, something messed up and possibly supernatural just happened outside, this was his reason for coming!
By cutting through several shortcuts and hitching a ride on the back of a supply truck passing by he managed to reach the plaza in just under a few minutes. As he made his way through the crowds towards the small store where he bought cigarettes he heard many things in the background that all blended to create a constant mumbling sound in the background. The sound of a siren pierced through this collage of background noise and Arron immediately turned his head to investigate, he couldn't see a thing though, the crowds blocked his vision so the only things he could see were billboards and advertisements plastered across the walls of buildings. From this spot he could also see his destination, a sign with neon red letter which said "Open". This was just the place that Arron had been looking for and he swiftly made his way through the crowds towards this destination.
She gathered her things, checking her signature bag to make sure everything was still in tact. She threw away her empty drink, walking up to the cashier and awaiting for service. She tapped the counter quietly, watching as she let the small green glow on her fingertips fade in and out repeatedly. When she heard footsteps, she ceased playing around, simply smiling at the man that came to help her. "Hello, I'd like to just order an iced strawberry tea and I'll be on my way." She slipped out the money from her purse, placing down a five dollar bill.
With a couple buzzes and clicks, the man returned her change and gave her her receipt. She stepped to the side, letting other customers go and waiting in the corner patiently. Checking her watch, Jane rocked on her heel a couple times, taking one last look to observe the other people.
"You were lucky this time" he said turning serious "that hunter was an anomaly, I just got here this morning and even I've heard enough stories about those bloodthirsty nutcases." He took a gulp a cold coffee, "I know I really shouldn't be giving advice about this sort of thing, but I've done my research. Powers like that are worse than taboo, hunters, the H.O.D.A. and even ordinary people will hold them against you". Cato sighed, "If you're looking for a job, I guess you could try campus security at HCU, I heard them talking about a few openings. It shouldn't be to hard to get hired, barley anyone applies anymore... after all those guys got eaten..."
Cato yawned, he'd almost reached his limit, he should have slept when he dropped off his bags at the dorms. He hoped his new roommate didn't look through any of them, his demon obsession was pretty obvious. "I'm gonna head home" he yawned again. He pulled a pen out of his pocket and scrawled some digits on a napkin, "here's my number, call it if you need any help." It wasn't much, he knew that, but she just seemed so helpless and this was the best he could do. "My name's Cato by the way, Cato Evans."
" Little girl... little girl " the man said over and over " I saw what you did "
Kats heart seemed to stop in that moment " I dont know what your talking about"
The man smiled " tell the truth little girl... I know what you are and I can get a high price on you "
Kat closed her eyes and fell to her knees, she had no idea what she was going to do. the Man grabed her and put hand cuffs on her when she had and Idea. Kat moved quickly out of his way. she begain to sing softly so the man was the only one to hear.

" What are you doing That man said " he ran after her but she did not stop singing. The man soon after fell to the ground fast asleep. Kat stoped once he was knocked out and ran out of the ally and into the crowd to hide.
After a minute or so had passed and several strangers had bumped into Arron he saw a girl leave the alley. He half expected the man to follow after her but was surprised when he didn't. At this point Arron began to make his way over to the alley, his expressions showing he was somewhat concerned and this facial feature didn't change at all. Even when he was walking past the blonde girl on the way to the alley and took the chance to take a look at her face his expression was the same, brow furrowed slightly. He kept on towards the dark alley and , resisting the temptation to run after the girl and stop her, stepped into the passage where he made his way towards a mass about the same size of a man sprawled out on the floor.
That something was a chore which Arron had assigned to himself upon his departure from his camp site out of the city a week or so ago. He had to buy more food, most of it had to be canned or frozen so it would last longer and what made this task so difficult was Arron's budget. As a part time nurse he was hardly paid much and with the amount he spent on smokes alone he was already pretty low on cash. This was why the first place Arron usually checked for supplies was the plaza, there were a few shops around there that sold the things he needed for cheap.
Upon arriving at the plaza Arron took a moment to look around. From the looks of things it seed as though It was slowly getting busier and if he didn't hurry then he would had to cope with the constant chatter, large crowds and possibly worse. Arron didn't particularly like the people in this area of the city, Most of them had their eyes glues to the screens of their phones whilst those whom didn't were gossiping or spreading rumours. Of course these descriptions didn't apply to everyone, just most of them and Arron could help but feel that it was unfair how they were so well treated and pretty much spoilt for doing nothing at all. If there was one thing Arron knew for sure it was during his childhood he wasn't spoilt like most of these kids were.
Arron closed his eyes and lets his muscles go slack for a moment, letting a heavy sigh part from between his lips as memories of occasions where he had broken equipment like this flashed through his mind. Such a waste of money... He should have known better back then. Fortunately by now he had learned from these mistakes and that's why he didn't buy these sort of things. After this brief recollection Arron remembered his task and began to go over a mental checklist of what he still needed to buy. He needed to focus on this and so kept his eyes closed, finding it easier when there was one less factor in the equation which resulted in a distraction from his tasks.
The next thing on Arrons list after his break was buying some extra cigarettes for his trip. The store which Arron bought these cigarettes at was having a sale on cleaning supplies so he also bought a two wash cloths and various cleaning supplies. They had been on sale and he'd needed things for washing at home. He would probably keep one of the cloths on his person take it to his camp. He wiped his forehead with said cloth and stuffed it back into a bag as he made his way across the plaza towards a supermarket that knew sold large bottle of water. He was set food-wise for the journey, he had made sure of that when he found a shop that was having a sale on such items. His next steps after he had gotten some water were to head to the hospital and borrow some medical supplies. Just in case of injuries or infections he liked to have bandages, pain killers and antibiotics on hand.
