The year is 2512 and the incident on the USG Ishimura is stuck in a classified file and hidden from prying eyes. As a result humanity is left unaware of the monstrously evil and horrific creatures that are now hunting them. It was the first of May when they finally got to us since casualties had been high because of a flu that had struck the dig site a few months ago as a result the marker had a lot to work on our destruction with. I didn't find out until it was too late but I didn't suffer a bit at all. I took the easy way out not wanting to become one of those things but I did and it was all due to my own failure. It was my fault that the ship was infected entirely and that most of the camp was infected also. I wanted to study the marker so bad that I had it on the surface for a few days before sending it to the orbiting USG Vigilance and of course the marker revived and mutated corpses in both locations. I didn't know this when I injected myself with an air bubble killing me almost instantly. I had set up a rather corrosive acid trap on the door which hit the monster I had become on the way out.
