Description

The Carthim are the natives of In Carta Hör, a powerful nation most famous for its military culture. The Carthim revere a deity known as The Devourer or The Swallower. This god's ideology hinges on rabid consumption - including expansionism and imperialism. Excess is commonly assumed to be encompassed by outsiders, though this is not the case. The Carthim could be seen as the equivalent of “fascists.” Carthim mages take the philosophy of ingestion to an extreme, and are skilled in the employment of debilitating afflictions including the summoning of magical swarms of flies and even locusts which are used to assault their enemies- sometimes stripping them of flesh entirely. The Carthim are fearsome; infamous for their cruelty. The mark of this people is a twisted maw, etched even into the helmets of their warriors- and the memories of their surviving victims.
